lyrica

Avatar f tn s I would take codeine, DHC, Herion(smoked)., and If i couldn;t get drugs ~I would drink like a fish. On Espranor I do not take any drugs bar scripted or alcohal. It makes me feel ebtter and it stops the cravings. Its the cravings that kill me, I cannot handle it when my brain is just focussed on getting out of it so I can forget, Espranor makes me a nicer and more stable person.
Avatar f tn Ive been on lyrica and nuvigil fro fibro pain and fatigue, and just found out I'm pregnant. I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken either one of those while pregnant. I've stopped them for i was on only 50 mg of lyrica and about 100 of nuvigil. but I'm still worried, and i feel like I've been hit by a train once again, the pain is almost unbearable, i know my doc personally, have an appt. with him for the 12th.
Avatar n tn Panadeine Forte is a combination of 30mg codeine and 500mg of paracetamol, and due to the higher dose of codeine, requires a prescription. For long term use on a daily basis, other medication should be considered. For occasional use to treat flare-ups in pain, a person may be allowed to take up to 8 capsules a day, which is 240mg of codeine and 4gms of paracetamol. The danger with combination drugs that contain paracetamol is that paracetamol can be fatal in large enough doses.
Avatar m tn no it is not arthritis.....my question is....what will happen if she combines the methadone and the pregabalin?...she takes methadone about every other day...a bottle of 130mg methadone will last her almost 5 to 6 days....any info would be helpful.
Avatar m tn s how come I have to take Lyrica and Codeine, I busted up my back in three places in a car wreck and my lumbar spine hurts real bad, my legs are wrecked up, and my feet are killing me, all because my back was rearranged.
Avatar f tn How will I know I am going through withdrawel for Codeine?.I was taking Tylex for about 8 years. Severe back pain and the dreaded restless legs. If anyone has a cure for that I would be mega grateful. I started coming off Tylex six days ago as I was getting 24 hour a day itching.I had scratched all the skin of my back and it was bleeding and infected alot of the time. I didn't have a moment in those years without itching.
1253197 tn?1331209110 I was on 1800mg a day and put on a stone over 4 months! I have now swapped to pregabalin and I am beginning to lose the weight. I changed drug because the Gabapentin was not controling my symptoms enough nothing to do with the weight gain, I am now on 400mg of Pregabalin and I am try to lose the weight I have gained so far I have lost half a stone in about three weeks. I know that there are many people who feel that Pregabalin also makes them put on weight.
Avatar m tn So, I think you should ask your doctor to give it to you, and see if it helps. I also take codeine for another condition, and it helps with my overall pain picture, too, but only the Lyrica stopped the sharp low back pain and the pain in my feet.
Avatar n tn i take 200mg of tramadol a day and 90mg of codeine a day and i would'nt recommend that anyone else takes them together as when you try to stop taking them it is so terrible, my heads all over the place, i keep getting very confused and disorientated and have severe panic attacks when im in large crowds of people, even in town. PLEASE be VERY careful with what u take, im only 27 and its ruined my life already. Oh and the mood swings are disturbing and you cant control them once you flip.
1252153 tn?1269094321 can anyone tell me what Lyrica is and Savella, in england Lyrica is a company who make a drug called Pregabalin, thats what i am on now, been back to doc 2day and he has give me a larger dose of pregabalin.
Avatar n tn Hello, I just had a question in regards to pregnancy and a small dose of codeine. Due to pelvic pain I have daily taken 2 tylenol #1 in the morning and 2 at night. The tablet is 300mg acetaminophen with 8 mg of codeine. Total codeine being 32mg in one day. I've read all this stuff about baby withdrawing and dependancy issues and i know reading stuff on the internet is not the greatest idea but wanted to get feedback from a doctor if possible and greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn Pregabalin is known as Lyrica in the States and is prescribed primarily to relieve neuropathic pain if you have diabetes or in the area of your rash if you have had shingles. It is also used to treat fibromyalgia. Pregabalin is used with other medications to treat certain types of seizures in people with epilepsy. Pregabalin is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by decreasing the number of pain signals that are sent out by damaged nerves in the body.
Avatar m tn Physicians tend to prescribe opiates when pain is non-responsive to other medications/treatments and when both the physician and patient believe their benefits outweigh the "negatives" (such as needing more and more pills to achieve the same effect "dependence," etc.). Another class of medications are steroids (prescribed to reduce inflammation), and the "non-steroidal" anti-inflammatories, many of which are over-the-counter (ibuprofen, naproxyn, etc.).
Avatar n tn I take a cousin to your Epleptin, which the generic for yours is Gabapentin, and mine is Pregabalin or Lyrica. I have a lot of pain in my body from tearing up my back in a car accident years ago, it really helps it so much, and I think it will help your headaches a lot. Also, it is an anti-seizure type drug, so it helps with people who have musculature trouble. Also, once you get used to the drug, sometimes doctors will increase the dose until you reach a plateau of comfort.
433485 tn?1321813390 t help lower back pain, and I can testify, as I have taken codeine and pregabalin not together, but with one and after a while with the other, and BOTH reduce back pain. Anything that tells the nerves not to scream in pain works.
2107676 tn?1388973859 I am back on Effexor (which was hell to taper off of), and pregabalin and fighting hard not to take too much pregabalin to ease the withdrawals. Luckily I have been sleeping quite a bit but I'm awake now and feeling like hell. It just seems like I have been through a year of fighting not to go through this hell and here I end up again.
983008 tn?1329925830 Seen my Dr yesterday and he wanted to get in touch with the neurologist to try and bump my appt up. I asked him to wait as I only started the pregabalin yesterday and my appt is first week in January anyway.
4939681 tn?1361299299 and two opioids oxycodone and morphine have made you nauseous/weak. If you were to try vicodin or codeine, you run the risk of the nausea feeling again because they have similar reactions as the oxy and morphine. There are a couple other drugs you could try first before going to the higher potency drugs that may not make you feel so out of it. The first drug is actually used for fibromyalgia patients a lot and it is called Savella.
5133446 tn?1364088940 I stopped taking the Sustained Released DHC and just take the normal Codeine and I feel back to normal and I was able to go out, clean the house and enjoy my weekend like a normal person but as soon as I tell CADS and the Doctor what I have done, they will turn their backs on me like he has already threatened if I don’t take the Suboxone or Methadone and I don’t think it’s fair! This is my life they are messing with and they don’t seem to care.
10354469 tn?1409533617 but it feels like i need to run them under cold water or i have to hold a cold water bottle and same thing with my feet. Is this part of fibromyalgia or is it something else? Any one else have this happen to them?
Avatar m tn I'm 21 and male. I was having arm pains which was caused by neck pain for bad posture on computer desk. So I went to the GP (general medicine) and he said the pain is for the neck, and it will go away and asked me to do some static neck exercise and swimming and prescribed 'Pregabalin m-75' to take for 1 month and stop.
Avatar f tn Thanks for that, Tuck. I've had a look through PubMed database to see if there have been scientific studies specifically on the question of tolerance, but without joy. As far as I can tell, the main assumption/claim is that because pregabalin is not known to be metabolically active (ie, the liver and body don't metabolise it into other molecules) the patient shouldn't develop tolerance. I am now a bit more sceptical of that claim.
1218873 tn?1300091216 Hi i wondered if anyone could explain there experience of Pregabalin (Lyrica?) i have been on Gabapentin for the last 3 months with only a little success (the twitches have reduced considerably) but no relief pain. Now the Dr is going to swap me to Pregabalin which has to be done slowly to switch from one to the other, so this will start as soon as I'm home from holiday. I wondered if anyone had done this and what there experience of the drugs are?
