I am a diabetic and have been running very high blood sugars when I have been on the many antibiotics and Prednisone. I am now experiencing some neuropathy in my hands and feet - do not know if it is related to my mysterious condition or a result of the long periods of high blood sugar. Would appreciate any input. I just went to the doc yesterday and I just feel like sad about this baby like im a bad mom or something. Mt first son had 4 holes in his heart at birth and the doc was saying that is likely top happen to this guy too or I could even carry full term and have to delivery a dead baby. I'm just all bleehhh today thinking about all this.

So I went to the doctor cause I thought I was getting pneumonia and the Doc had me do a PFT (which was low at 70 percent) and a blood O2 test (94 percent) and said that I had bronchitis and put me on some prednisone and a z-pack. After I finshed my meds I still felt the same. So I set up another appointment and right before I went in I started to feel better but my tests only showed I improved ten percent.
Hi ☺ my mother fast blood glucose level in morning is always between 100 and 120. Does this means she is diabetics and need insolin or she is just prediabetics. She only uses metformin 500mg twice a day with her meals. A1c is 6 and her blood glucoz level two our after meal is usually 120.
Diabetes is a controllable disease but it takes a lifestyle change to do so. There are many people who turn to medication as their only answer. I have a family member who neglects her health and feel as long she swallows those pills daily she will be healthy. I have realized that one cannot help those who refuse to help themselves first.
