My son 5,5 years old has been diag with CIDP on summer 2007, and has since that date many relapse (boots). and has been treated with imminoglobuline, and oral prednisone for 6 month and 2 cure of hight dose of IV solumedrole but that make his situation worse. the only treatment witch works was cure IV of imminoglobuline for 5 days. I would like to get maximum of informations of this desease.( Pronostics, general outcome, does the relapse stop???

I also have panhypopituitarism. I have been on 5mg of prednisone since my dx in 96. I have been doing some research and am interested in finding out more about constant subcutaneous infusion of hydrocortisone. My days start off OK but by 5pm I am very fatigued.

I took 10mg prednisone and then I'm coming down now with fever- the flagyl maybe didn't work completely for this possible amoeba infection EH

I have had tinnitus and vertigo for many years. 7 years ago I was put on prednisone for myalgia pain. My pain went away but it had no affect on my hearing. It did affect my belly....it bloated out like a pregnant woman...lol...I got off prednisone back in january of this year. If you can avoid it then avoid it. I was wondering if anyone can answer this question for me about prednisone. My doctor put me on this for some issues I was having with my butt cheek and leg hurting all the way to my ankle. I think its my schiatic nerve, she gave me 40mg of prednisone a day for 3 days then cut it down to 20 mg a day for 4 days to wean me off it. A week and a half after coming off prednisone I had a bunch of blood work done and it came back positive for Hep C.

I have been on Prednisone for about 5 years on and off. One day I woke up after a long night of partying...I had Asthma like symptoms. Ive been suffering with persistant erythema multiforme (huge painful lesions) on my hand ad forearms for about 2 years straight. I had the flu (a long with my husband and children) we were all really sick for about 5 days. Everyone got over it except for me. I don't feel like it is the flu now though. I have a horrible cough. So 5 days ago I went to the Urgent Care and Dr said probably pneumonia. She gave me antibiotics, prednisone, and albuterol. It has been 5 days. The fevers are just higher. They dont even get better with ibuprofen. I can't function. I have small kids. I feel to sick to drive to the doctor.

I went to Doctor today and he put me on prednisone for the week. I am supposed to do 40mg for 2 days, 30 for 2 days, 20 for 2 days, and 1 for 2 days. I took my first dose today and wonder how long it takes for it to work? I still don't feel great which could also be the cold I suppose. Who gets a cold in the summer anyway? Awful.

Hopefully not. Prednisone, by the way, is a steroid. It reduces the inflammation and selling and that's why they gave it to you. It's not an antibiotic that works on bacteria or anything. Take your current medication as directed. Why do they think you are getting so many sore throats that are not viral?

my 9 year old dog has been on prednisone for 6 weeks for ITP and we are weaning her off now.

I've been battling molluscum and have nasty eczema and a bit of a secondary infection from picking the bumps. Dr. prescribed me prednisone and ciproflox. I'm sooo itchy all over but i don't want to take prednisone if it's going to make the molluscum worse. Is the prednisone a bad idea?

My husband and I have had so many test. I have used the progestrone, antibiotics. I have 4 children 2 which are twins. When I remarried I had my tubes untied because my husband has no children of his own. He has been Chromosone tested and the test was normal. What I would like to now is if it would be worth my Money and time to do the invitro.
