Avatar f tn m not getting any better and the worse thing was it become pneumonia and the doctor put me on zithromax for 7 days but unfortunately the fever is still there and I was confined in the hospital twice and I undergo bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy and the diagnosis was nonspecific interstitial pneumonia but still I have a fever and night sweat at night.
4916067 tn?1360974962 GIGI sweats at night also.. Her belly is damp to the touch when she wakes up in the morning and it's not pee. She sleeps in bed and I would know if she peed. It's strange.
Avatar n tn Started out upper respiratory and after 2 months went on prednisone for 12 days.....40 mgs for 7 days, 20mgs for 5. I am a basket case at the moment...withdrawal phase. Been off for 6 days and still shaky. Aside from the above, I have terrible sweats...l cannot blame it on the prednisone as I had them before I went on it. Doctor blames it on Advil which I don't take???????? Any reason I should be feeling this way?
Avatar f tn I have had a chronic pattern of elevated wbc and neutrophils for 5 months now but only slightly elevated over those 5 months, however symptoms have increased and having extreme lethargy, night sweats and now daytime sweats and weakness. Most recent labs now show higher WBC 21 (range 4.5-11)and neutrophils 78 range (42-75) and low lymphocytes 13 (range 20-51). My doctor has me on 10mg of prednisone but he doesn’t feel the prednisone would increase my labs that much. Please help.
Avatar n tn I went to the doctor 12 days ago was told I had bronchitis and asthma Got z pack and prednisone and prednisone shot. Not any better - now slight cough, headache, congestion, dizzy and flushed and at night wake up all sweaty.
341655 tn?1240368839 I have been on prednisone for 1 month now, 5 days of IV solumedrol and now i'm on a maintenance of 80mg of pred. I'm having severe side effects and don't know how to deal with them. *leg swelling *night sweats *severe mood swings *uncontrolled hunger *severe body pain any advice on how to cut down on some of the symptoms?
Avatar f tn fever, night sweats, headaches, swollen glands, weight loss (around 4 kg)...had the sore throat/tonsilitis with white patches but that only lasted 5 dayts or so. I also had swollen eyelids like you for about 2 weeks, it looked really scary. It must suck to have have had them for so long. My bloodwork during acute infection indicated several abnormalities which are typical of mono- elevated lymphocytes, slightly low neutrophils (although still in the normal range), elevated liver transamines.
Avatar f tn My mom is a Hodgkins Disease survivor who now has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and she's experienced fevers, drenching night sweats; weight loss; rash and frequent (often, uncontrollable) itching. Like the other symptoms, I believe that the itching is a result of the body's immune system reacting to the Cancer. Her symptoms went away during chemotherapy (ABVD)... but, every now and then, she'll feel some faint tingling sensations, kinda like a distal itch.
Avatar f tn Sorry forgot to ask, if anyone has experienced terrible night sweats from the prednisone. Maybe its putting me into menopause. I'm only 43 and havent had period in 3 months?
Avatar m tn Keep in mind that antidepressants frequently cause night sweats. I get them from Lexapro and Celexa, for example. So medication can cause the same symptoms as anxiety. One thing you might try is dividing the Zoloft dose in two -- sometimes that levels the side effects and keeps a steady amount in your bloodstream.
Avatar f tn Hi, I had the right side of my thyroid removed last year due to a benign nodule. They didn't know it was benign until they removed it as the FNA was inconclusive. I'm going through the menopause and have night sweats but you're far too young for that. Did your doctor put you on medication for your thyroid after your op? a month after my operation I was put on a 100mg of Thyroxine and seems I'm on it for life.
Avatar f tn Im 27 weeks and oh my lord. I had them really really bad early on, like i would wake up and be drenched. It didnt matter if i slept in my pjs or just my undies. It has calmed down a lot though since the first few months. I always have a fan going and have a cold pillow inbetween my legs.
Avatar f tn I never had night sweats with menopause and have a hysterectomy. My sheets, pillow and nightgown are soaked every night for over a month, but I am cold. I kept forgetting to tell my doctor. I am calling tomorrow. Not to jump to conclusions, but I read that this is a sign of lymphoma. I just had a CT Scan and they said my lymph nodes were fine. Has anyone else had this with cancer in general. I was on Carbo/taxol, but it has been a month off and now am 5 days into Doxil.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know the specifics of Night sweats and ARS? Like how long do they last, and how much sweat you produce. I have been having them every night for the past 2+ months... And also I heard Teak say on another post, that swollen lymphnodes associated with ARS are not Tender, and do not hurt with pressure applied. Can anyone confirm this?
Avatar n tn Although both men and women suffered from their most intense and most frequent symptoms from the ages of 41 to 55, this report focused on aged subjects in order to isolate the effects of night sweats themselves from the effects of menopause and its associated symptoms. Night sweats during menopause are usually caused by estrogen deficiency, but because both older men and postmenopausal women experience night flashes, in this older group that is less likely to be the case.
1064938 tn?1255282319 Hey Lisa, With the usual night sweats I always got days 2,3,4, you are OK and all of a sudden you are having a hot flash and are drenched and feel like you're in a sauna. You kick off the covers and then 10 min later, you are cold and put the covers back on. Then this process repeats itself all night. I always get those the first 3 days or so. The other day though, (day 9, I think) the chills and night sweats started again. With these sweats I'm getting now.
Avatar m tn I have had day sweats, night sweats, just think sweats, dont think sweats, big sweats, little sweats AND I even sweat in the shower. No I did not have this problem prior to last week. Got me some of that Avon perfume scented roll on deodrant. That seems to be my new best friend. I have been drinking about a gallon of water daily for over two weeks. Thanks for all your posts EVERYONE. It sure helped pre tx and now. Very appreciative newbie.
703031 tn?1398963307 I am a 33 year old female and have recently begun to experience night sweats. (approx. the past 6 to 8 weeks). Some nights I sweat enough to soak my hair and pillow and a portion of the sheets. Other nights, I wake up soaked from head to toe where I need to towel off and change my sheets. Should I contact my doctor and make an appointment? I hate going in for something that is "completely normal"...lol. My room isn't hot at all.
Avatar f tn My first month on treatment was hot flashes one minute and chills the next but then the hot flashes and night sweats disappeared. So no night sweats for me while on TX and I am hoping they don't return when TX ends but time will tell.
Avatar f tn When I started, I was also taking bioidentical progesterone, estrogen mix and DHEA to control hot flashes and night sweats, which it was doing very well. Once levothyroxine came in, the flashes and night sweats came back with a vengeance and I had trouble sleeping.
Avatar f tn Good Evening, Not looking for a diagnoses here, I just want a better understanding of night sweats and HIV. Yes yes I'm typical person on here, I had unprotected sex and no I don't have the typical ARS symptoms which doesn't matter anyway.I'm having night sweats periodically though, like twice every 3 months for the past year and half. I'm not sure if its related to stress/anxiety because I've been stress for a while b/c of work and personal life.
Avatar n tn It is possible that other health problems are causing the night sweats, and I encourage you to have him checked by his physician since this seems to be happening fairly often. Another possibility is that the night sweats ARE hypo-related but that his liver is producing emergency sugars after a hypo while he is asleep and is therefore bringing his glucose levels up to normal by the time he wakes up; hence, his normal or slightly high glucose readings.
Avatar f tn It sounds to me like your hormones may be off balance. Has anyone done a blood test to check your hormone levels? I'm pretty sure that at 22 years of age and 2 children later, you're not in menopause but, something is causing these night sweats and you shouldn't have to suffer through them because your doc doesn't know and is not looking any further as to the cause.
Avatar n tn i had my right ovary and fallopian tube removed 4 weeks ago due to a very large cyst being attached to my ovary. Ever since then i have suffered really awful and bad night sweats. I have discussed it with the doctor but he has said it is a hormone unbalance and the left ovary is playing catch up and needs to work for both ovaries now the right one has gone and this may take a while. In the mean time i am literally surviving on 2 hours sleep a night.
736293 tn?1316517842 i am also having night sweats for the first time within the past week and it's driving me nuts, i'm always hot and waking up all nasty and sweaty. i have the air on like 68 and still burning up so idk whats going on either, but i guess it's normal.
Avatar m tn d hypo and put on med, I noticed that the sweats got fewer and less severe as my levels go better. Now, I have night sweats when my levels are off, but usually only once or twice/night as opposed to 5-6 times/night I used to get them.
Avatar f tn I'm so glad I'm not the only one the night sweats totally suck. I'm gonna be so glad when it stops.
