prednisone and night sweats

m not getting any better and the worse thing was it become pneumonia and the doctor put me on zithromax for 7 days but unfortunately the fever is still there and I was confined in the hospital twice and I undergo bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy and the diagnosis was nonspecific interstitial pneumonia but still I have a fever and night sweat at night.

GIGI sweats at night also.. Her belly is damp to the touch when she wakes up in the morning and it's not pee. She sleeps in bed and I would know if she peed. It's strange.

Started out upper respiratory and after 2 months went on prednisone for 12 days.....40 mgs for 7 days, 20mgs for 5. I am a basket case at the moment...withdrawal phase. Been off for 6 days and still shaky. Aside from the above, I have terrible sweats...l cannot blame it on the prednisone as I had them before I went on it. Doctor blames it on Advil which I don't take???????? Any reason I should be feeling this way?

I have had a chronic pattern of elevated wbc and neutrophils for 5 months now but only slightly elevated over those 5 months, however symptoms have increased and having extreme lethargy, night sweats and now daytime sweats and weakness. Most recent labs now show higher WBC 21 (range 4.5-11)and neutrophils 78 range (42-75) and low lymphocytes 13 (range 20-51). My doctor has me on 10mg of prednisone but he doesn’t feel the prednisone would increase my labs that much. Please help.

fever, night sweats, headaches, swollen glands, weight loss (around 4 kg)...had the sore throat/tonsilitis with white patches but that only lasted 5 dayts or so. Hi, I had the right side of my thyroid removed last year due to a benign nodule. They didn't know it was benign until they removed it as the FNA was inconclusive. I'm going through the menopause and have night sweats but you're far too young for that. Did your doctor put you on medication for your thyroid after your op? a month after my operation I was put on a 100mg of Thyroxine and seems I'm on it for life.

Im 27 weeks and oh my lord. I had them really really bad early on, like i would wake up and be drenched. It didnt matter if i slept in my pjs or just my undies. It has calmed down a lot though since the first few months. I always have a fan going and have a cold pillow inbetween my legs.

I never had night sweats with menopause and have a hysterectomy. My sheets, pillow and nightgown are soaked every night for over a month, but I am cold. I kept forgetting to tell my doctor. Does anyone know the specifics of Night sweats and ARS? Like how long do they last, and how much sweat you produce. I have been having them every night for the past 2+ months... And also I heard Teak say on another post, that swollen lymphnodes associated with ARS are not Tender, and do not hurt with pressure applied. Can anyone confirm this?

Hey Lisa, With the usual night sweats I always got days 2,3,4, you are OK and all of a sudden you are having a hot flash and are drenched and feel like you're in a sauna. You kick off the covers and then 10 min later, you are cold and put the covers back on. Then this process repeats itself all night. I always get those the first 3 days or so. The other day though, (day 9, I think) the chills and night sweats started again. With these sweats I'm getting now.

I am a 33 year old female and have recently begun to experience night sweats. (approx. the past 6 to 8 weeks). Some nights I sweat enough to soak my hair and pillow and a portion of the sheets. It sounds to me like your hormones may be off balance. Has anyone done a blood test to check your hormone levels? I'm pretty sure that at 22 years of age and 2 children later, you're not in menopause but, something is causing these night sweats and you shouldn't have to suffer through them because your doc doesn't know and is not looking any further as to the cause.

i had my right ovary and fallopian tube removed 4 weeks ago due to a very large cyst being attached to my ovary. Ever since then i have suffered really awful and bad night sweats. I have discussed it with the doctor but he has said it is a hormone unbalance and the left ovary is playing catch up and needs to work for both ovaries now the right one has gone and this may take a while. In the mean time i am literally surviving on 2 hours sleep a night.

d hypo and put on med, I noticed that the sweats got fewer and less severe as my levels go better. Now, I have night sweats when my levels are off, but usually only once or twice/night as opposed to 5-6 times/night I used to get them.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one the night sweats totally suck. I'm gonna be so glad when it stops.
