My tongue also feels swollen at the same time, is extremely dry and has a white coating on the back. It comes and goes, sticking around for days and then going away only to come back in a few more days. I have difficultly sleeping because of the swelling and nothing seems to make it go away. Tylenol works enough for me to sleep. Antihistamines either put me in a fog or asleep and I cannot take them during the day.
it all started when i woke early one morning feeling very sick to my tummy.. oh,and my mouth was veryyyy dry. (which isnt that abnormal when u first wake in the morning) so i thought nothing of it till it kept getting dryer and dryer while i sat in the bathroom rocking back and forth trying not to puke!lawd i hate puking lol... . 20 mins praying to god i WOULD NOT PUKE LOL... finally i started feeling a little better(or so i thought).
Its the worst its ever been and I am miserable. I was on Azathioprine, Canasa, and a taper of Prednisone with no relief. Just started Humira yesterday. Four shots to the stomach....ouch! Today along with my flare symptoms (lots of bleeding, constipation, bloating, abdominal pain, fatigue, dry mouth, occasional nausea) I have the chills with a very low grade fever and my fatigue is worse than normal. Is this normal after starting Humira? What do others do to manage all of these symptoms?
My symptoms are dry mouth, coated tongue , inflamed taste buds , chemical taste in mouth, sporadic tight throat, and I taste blood and my whole mouth just feels awful. I doubt y'all will know what it is but any advice? I attached a picture below. I'm a 24 year old male with no known health issues and am on no meds.
What I discovered was that, in my case, the nose problems (dryness, bleeding and pain) were an extension of the Riba rash that covered the top half of my body. I had them on my head, in my mouth and both ears as well as chest and back. I had to stop the Riba for 3 weeks due to crashing blood counts and the nasal problems went away, as did 80% of the rash. Began Riba and sores/rash have returned!
but unfortunately 4 days before 6 months test I had a meth prednisone injection for my dry mouth and white tongue and skin rashes .
later found out that this is type of medicine which can suppers the immune system and following that no antibody production .I was in deep anxiety and stress science these 6 months window period (sleep 4 hours per day and very sick) ,again I'm under stress right now MOSTLY BECAUSE OF INJECTION.
I have been on it for 1 week now at 20 mg a day, and have had nausea and a weird taste in the back of my mouth, and keep getting that "throw up" feeling, if you know what I mean...like the constant metallic spit in the back of my mouth?? I have no appetite, yet I'm hungry all the time, thirsty all the time, having to go to the bathroom constantly...and this is all since starting the prednisone.
I have 2 more weeks to take this, and don't know if I can handle it anymore.
I have been everywhere on the web and here and nothing seems to fit, until i did some research and saw that dry mouth is sympotmatic of diabetes. Can anyone shed some light? Its more of an inconvenience than anything else. I can still swallow, doesnt affect taste, throat isnt sore, sleeping is not a problem. I should also mention this doesnt happen everytime and its also varies in dryness. I am going to be changing from a GP to Internest within the next couple of months.
During the medicine for the reflux I start to have dry mouth and toothache . The toothache went off after 2 weeks and dry mouth is start around .My tongue started to have strange and irradiated feeling like scalding tongue and the upper wall of my mouth also have irradiated feeling . Now I start to have bloated stomach .I really don't know what the main cause of this . Is it anxiety ,reflux or other illness .
Then I started oil pulling bc I looked up dry mouth and throat and some pretty weird things came up. Like sorts of gum disease. Oil pulling helps kill and pull all the toxins out of your mouth. I'm much better now. Still a little dry but I can sleep. Then about my hip (left side) I started stretching (the best I could lol) and made sure I had lots and lots of back,belly and leg support which really helped. I am a 47 year old woman with terrible dry mouth. I have had several tests and the doctor can't find anything in the blood tests. This is miserable! Could this be a symptom of perimenopause and is there some type of medication that could help? I have tried many over the counter remedies and nothing seems to help.
Is it actually the feeling of being thirsty or just having a dry mouth? If your mouth is feeling dry try sucking on a hard candy or swishing your mouth out with water or mouthwash. If you feel like you are dehydrated unless you drink that much water that warrants a visit with the doc. As coffeebuzz said that can be an indicator of many different issues including diabetes or kidney issues to name a few. How often are you using the bathroom?

t seem to get rid of my thirst. I will drink. Until. My stomach hurts and I still feel dry. I hardly ever drink enough and when I am pregnant I try to drink enough and the way I know I am drinking enough is that I won't be thirsty. I just wish that I did not feel like I am thirsting to death. I even feel light headed and dizzy. And tired which is normal this early in pregnancy but it makes me feel like I am really thirsting to death. Glad to know I am not the only dried out pregnant woman.
