prednisolone eye drops cost

i may have taken ofloxacin and prednisolone eye drops in my eye 5 times in a day instead of the 4 times like i was supposed to do.will it cause any harm?

Has anyone been prescribed Nevanac eye drops for post Vitrectomy/ERM peel surgery ? I was prescribed to take this for 3 months (didn't even have the surgery yet) but the online medical information on it says not to take it for more than 14 days or there could be serious side effects. I'm not big on "blind faith" with what any Doctor just says, especially when it contradicts the warnings to this extreme.

I have been on Prednisolone eye drops since December 8th 3 times a day for a week than 1 time a day for a week. I'm on the last week I took it this morning but it's weird now my eyes are still burning and I'm so confused right now because my eyes actually stop burning last Wednesday and my eyes been fine until today.What should I do.Tomorrow is my last day taking the Prednisolone eye drops.

For the cataract surgery, it is every 2 hours!!! Eye drops, eye drops and more eye drops. Then more eye drops for the dry eye that the other drops cause. On and on. No end.

My eye doctor sent me to a cornea specialist and after an exam he asked me to keep taking the acyclovir tablets (1 pill - 3x a day) and prescribed Pred Forte eye drops (Prednisolone Acetate 1%) 4x a day. He was sent to a specialist. Treatment plan, antibiotic drops, steroid drops, as well as some type of drops to help his pupil to shrink. Although his redness has diminished, his pupil is HUGE and he has very poor vision from that eye. This is after about 2 1/2 weeks of incident and 1 week of specialist treatment plan. The doctor prescribed prednisolone eye drops with a tapering dose over a week or so. This seemed to take care of the issue. However, a couple of weeks later and after going off of the eye drops as prescribed, my eye flared up with the same symptoms. The doctor recommended the same treatment. The eye once again improved. 1 week after the second incident, I was nearly tapered entirely off of the eye drops. However, my top eyelid became quite swollen and painful.

Maxidex is a steroid that does not penetrate as well as prednisolone. The two year old drops should be ok is stored at room temperature or better if refrigerated. I would first try the Maxidex for a few days and if have discomfort or pain add the homatropine. You should not continue the drops for more than three weeks due to the risk of glaucoma and cataracts. I was recently put on prednisolone eye drops after having cataract surgery. Has anyone ever taken these eye drops and had severe abdominal bloating.i fee like it happened over night. It’s so uncomfortable.

I went to the eye doctor and he examine the eye and stated that I had episcleritis. The first two weeks I was put on anti-inflammatory drops, which did not help. This past week I was put on Prednisolone and over the counter ibuprofen and it has help tremendously. However, I still have just a little redness. Should I be worried?

00 am until my last doctors visit which was on May 22nd. My right eye is still dilated but not as severely as before and my eye isn't super sensitive to sunlight. Went to outpatient Ophtho and pressure was 56. Was prescribed 3 pressure reduction drops (two twice daily, one once daily) and Prednisolone 4 drops daily. Post operative, I have orally taken prednisolone 30mg daily for 3 days, ciprofloxacin tablets 500mg twice a day for 5 days, Acetazolamide 1 tab twice a day for 5 days. However, I do know that in general prenisolone acetate opthalmic soluction eye drops are prescribed to help combat inflammation. Generally, they are used after eye surgeries to help the eye heal. Since prednisolone is a steroid it can cause an increased susceptibility to infections so it may be paired with an antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or gatifloxacin. As with all medicines it is important to seek the advice of your physician about its safety.

It usually means more drops got in one eye than the other. Prednisone does not dilate pupil but dilating drops can last a very long time especially in light collored eyes (blue, green, gray) If it will make you feel better call your surgeon's office and report.

Nothing but Iron deficiency. While I am continuing on steroid drops ( with 3 drops /day now), my left eye vision is getting blurrier by the day. Could that be because of steroid drops ( Pred Forte) or healing from LASIK? Do you think the iritis will not show up after I finish tapering off the drops? I am scared of going blind or having eye issues for the rest of my life. Stupid LASIK :-( !

Went to eye specialist for uveitis as a follow-up to using Prednisolone drops (routine exam - this was with a new Dr.) Dr wanted to test eye pressure so used eye numbing drops. I have had this done several time before without any issue. This time eye was burning and became very blurry. Told Dr and she said to use some eye wetting drops for dryness. She didn't seem concerned and let me go. My eye is red and still no relief to the blurriness after 4 hrs.

I was diagnosed with Uveitis a couple of months ago in my right eye after my eye became very red and I had some signficant pain in my eye. I have been taking prednisolone 1.0% for the past 2.5 months - they tried weaning me off once and the redness came back so they dialed it back up, and are now working to wean me off again. About two weeks ago, I started noticing that my right pupil was bigger than my left most of the time - something I had not noticed previously.
