She has not had any Haemoptysis, but her cough does produce clear saliva at times. Occasionally her cough is dry and non-productive. Ask your doctor about a course of prednisolone to see if that might help the coughing. Stay away from any cough syrups that have alcohol in them. It worsens the asthma. Something similar is a glucosamine/chondroitin combination. Again, be sure it's formulated for cats. In humans, both the avocado-soybean unsaponifiables approach and the glucosamine/chondroitin approach seem to have about equal effectiveness. While talking to the vet, also check about prednisolone is not being considered. It's a steroid and often given to dogs, maybe it's not done that much in cats? But it reduces inflammation.

hello , I had an exposure 11 weeks ago and used prednisolone between weeks 8 to 11 , and after that got a negative ag/ab elisa hiv test . (11 weeks after exposure) . my question is that :as prednisone is an immunosupressant , could it hide my hiv antibodies ? if yes , how about hiv ag ? and is my hiv ag/ab test after 11 weeks (with 3 weeks use prednisolone) accurate ?
