I was put on prednisolone for 5 weeks and now my antibody level normal. I am planning to stop the steroid. Will the level get high again. Should I take any other medication to keep level low?
She is day 22 past transfer and has taken 3 tests but all negative. No period yet she is on prednisolone 10mg and injections every other day. I am so scared can someone relate and advise what we do next. Her last transfer was done on day 3 and in another country so cannot go back there at the moment.
You're not imagining, I had the same reaction. Feel free to read the question I had posted during my previous ivf attempt. I think we have allergic reactions. Even though I have no allergies either. You don't want to have an allergic reaction so that ur body won't build up antibodies that can actually attack the tiny embryos, so pls be careful and talk to ur doctor. He may give u a steroid anti immune agent like prednisolone.
I have been taking prednisolone on off for years for sinusitis/allergies and have read some people have started taking methotrexate for Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Does anyone know if this would also work for chronic sinusitis conditions?

Any drug is prescribed by a doctor based on the indications and potential side effects expected if any. Usually Prednisolone is no longer used than the first pregnancy test. The heparin, aspirin are usually continued till your 10 weeks gestation is reached. But the exact treatment can be suggested only by your treating infertility expert since she knows best about your medical history. I took an HIV 1/2 third generation antibody test at a clinic just 12 days after I stopped taking the Prednisolone (corticosteroid) medication, my results for HIV 1 and 2 antibodies came back negative. Taking note that at that time I also still was on my Loratadine medication for another two days.
The negative HIV 1/2 third generation antibody test result was taken 30 weeks after possible exposure which was already past the window period of 6 months.
Prednisolone was for heat rash and my itchy dots. Today I reduce to 10mg a day and tomorrow 10mg and next 5mg and that's it. I've been taking Prednisolone for 3 and half days so far. The main problem at the moment is just the burning face and neck, specially cheeks just under my eyes and under the chin. Morphine can cause physical dependence, decreased libido, constipation and addiction. Long term use of Prednisolone can weaken your immune system making you prone for recurrent infections. It can cause osteoporosis, stomach ulcer, cataracts, weight gain; hirsutism etc.A drug is prescribed if the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Discuss your concerns with your attending doctor. I think it's important I add that if your dog is receiving prednisolone as a matter of some urgency - such as certain life-threatening illnesses - then vaccination (annual boosters, etc) would not normally be given. Prednisolone suppresses the bone-marrow from producing white blood cells, which means there could be a severe and potentially fatal reaction to annual booster vaccines.
ve seen a dermatologist here in Thailand and he prescribed Telfast 180mg (antihistamine), Clobet milk 0.05% (clobetasol) and Prednisolone 5mg. When I only took the antihistamine and clobetasol the symptoms did not change much (not worse or better really). Then when I took Prednisolone the first time I felt immediately better but then a few days after finishing it the symptoms slowly started to return.

Hi. The difference between prednisone and prednisolone is that one is the precursor to the other. Prednisone is activated by enzymes in the liver to turn into prednisolone. They do have similar uses but prednisolone is more readily absorbed by the body. Prednisolone is usually used when there is liver toxicity or liver failure involved.

I've been told to go on prednisolone for 3 months or so in order to bring down my slightly elevated liver enzymes. I am worried that the prednisolone might react with the oroxine therapy which I am taking daily for my Hashimotos hypothyroidism. The amount of prednisolone is 25mg per day for 1 week, then 10 mg per day for 2 weeks, then 7.5mg per day for 4 weeks, then 5 mg per day until i see the doctor in 3 months time.
