Never in my family history. Also thyroid gland not producing enough. Then i was asked about Atorvastatin and these issues especially typ 2 diabetes. I have a bladder infection, I think. So I called my Dr and told him what was going on. He prescribed Septra generic DS. It made me so sick that I called him back and asked what to do and he said it would be alright to take a half pill twice a day instead of a whole one. This is the second time I've had a bladder infection in two months. The first time was when I was in the hospital. No catheter was used. They sent me home with a script for Septra and it cleared up with in 5 days.
He went to ER - after a CT-Scan of the brain and a cardio-evaluation (Echocardiogram, Cartoid Dopple and Holter Monitor), the Cardiologist said my father does not have any cardiac problems.

I am concerned about his rise of LDL and decrease of HDL even though nothing in his diet and daily routine has changed. What kind of evaluation does my father need at this time? What else can he do to reduce his LDL and increase his HDL?
59 yo white male. 1 year post MI with two stents in my RCA. I am active and with high a normal BMI of 25 No problem walking a fast mile or with light exercise. My LVEF was 50% right after MI and 45% 2 months later. due for another echo in 2 months. my lipids are under control - LDL < 70 and TC < 140, with or without the 10 mg pravastatin I am prescribed as I eat mostly a quality plant based diet, low in fats and simple carbs..
My question has to do with drugs.
What the difference out there. Is there a price difference??? Or is the medicine any better?
This med is generic for Lipitor, as you probably already know. I've researched and there is nothing about anger problems. The best thing to do is ask your Dr or pharmacist if this could be a possible interaction.
When did you start the Zoloft? I'm asking because anger and personality chances could be a side effect of this med.
