There are all kinds of statins out there, as ed said, you have to find out which one you tolerate. I have been on them for many years as I was unable to lower my LDL with diet and exercise alone. They have worked well and I have had no side effects, but everyone is different. Most of these can be replaced by the generic Simvastatin. It's cheap and is the basis of many of the meds out there.

Now, my understanding was that all T3 (bound and unbound) is produced from Free T4. Well, you can see that my Free T4 is 1.41 ng/dL, and that my Total T3 (bound and unbound) is 106 ng/dL. Obviously, the amount of Total T3 is far greater than the amount of Free T4. So, is all T3 (bound and unbound) produced from Free T4? Or is there another source of T3?

Certainly they do NOT all need treatment unless treatment is prophylactic or is proven strep A by test or culture, or is otherwise indicated for, for example, a compromised immune system.

My blood preasure has been high since before I found out I was a diabetic. He also has me on pravachol. My cholestrol was high before I was told I was a diabetic. It has read the same since I have been on this drug. Would it be wiser to change either of the drugs or to add plavix? I have been on pravachol for at least 6 years and diabetic only two.

Is atorvastatin or pravastatin better at monitoring cholestoral? My doctor prescribed the generic pravastatin as a more afordable alternative to atorvastatin but also doubled the amount I take (from 20 mg of atorvastatin to 40 mg of pravastatin). Should I be concerned about the effectiveness of pravastatin?
No other symptoms what so ever. Find it hard to loose weight even I try, take toprol and pravachol, was on Z-pack for strep throat when CT was done. Someone?
I take prevacid for heartburn and pravachol for high cholesterol; also using mupirocin ointment since I had sinus surgery in September.
There will be those that will tell you that studies such as the Jupiter Study were conducted or financed by big pharma companies, but that is not always the case nor does it place any doubt on the outcome. For me, I go with my experience with statins which have been very effective for me overall.

Hi...I am on numerous meds...heart(tachycardia arrythmia)-ATENOLOL; High Cholesterol-CRESTOR; Hernia-PRAVACHOL; Fibromyalgia & Osteo-Arthrytis-KETOROLAC; water retention-LASIX; Sinus-FLONASE; Dysrythmia-ATIVAN. I have also been on EFFEXOR for 5 years for severe depression. My dosage has been increased twice in the past month--I now take 187.5 mg...I woke up at about 12 midnight last Sunday and I have no recall of the past 4 days; however, I apparently withdrew $7000.
The level of creatine phosphokinase enzyme should be checked. If this is raised then there is muscle injury and the drugs should b stopped. If CPK is normal, then the dose and exercise adjustment should help. Fat-soluble statins like Lipitor and Zocor cause more damage than water soluble statins like Pravachol and Crestor. Hence the latter should be tried at lower dose.

My understanding is that the statins with the greatest LDL reducing effect are Crestor, Lipitor, Zocor, and Pravachol, in that order. Yes its very possible.. home pregnancy test pick up HCG levels produced when embroy plants itself in the wall.. usually it takes about 10-12 days.. but as you can never be sure when you ovulated and when conception took place its very possible you might not have enough hormones to pick up by urine test.. some women actually get positive tests after 6-7 weeks of there pregnancy... I haven't produced any colostrum or had leaking through this pregnancy. 39 wks and 2 days now. Is this normal? I'm just worried I won't produce breast milk at all as it happened to my sister.
