Avatar f tn I can eat greasy foods and not get deathly sick! I take a pinch of potassium chloride daily or few times a week. I ordered potassium chloride, (FYI: different kinds of potassium) on Amazon. It is a powder formula, love it because I can’t swallow pills. (FYI: different kinds of potassium when you look to order) I ordered an 8oz bag in January 2020 for around $12.00 & has last me all year. I hope this may help someone!

Avatar m tn My doctor told me recently that people taking acid reflux meds (such as Nexium or Prilosec) need to know that those drugs also cause magnesium deficiency! What next?
Avatar f tn Well there is possible damage. You all are gonna think I'm nuts, but I have CRAVED vinegar since a kid and drank abnormal amounts of it. No one has ever been able to tell me why. I literally can taste it in anything. My husband and family stopped buying it because they thought it was bad for me and one day my husband dumped some out and I finished off the A1 sauce because it has vinegar in it. Never drank, smoked, done drugs in my life but couldn't give up the vinegar.
Avatar m tn Potassium does come in forms as potassium gluconate, aspartate, citrate, hydrochloride, or chloride. Important you do not go over 1500mg daily with potassium supplementation. Potassium should come from your diet and almost all foods have it. Fruits, vegetable, certain meats, and grains have the most amounts.
1618806 tn?1304734477 d say just stay away from potassium supplements or salt substitutes like Mrs. Dash and you will probably be ok. If you start having muscle cramps though, it could be a sign that your potassium is too high. If that happens, go to the doctor and they will do bloodwork to test your levels. Hope that helps!
617141 tn?1225706428 Transfer was postponed till I get better. Doctor gave me Lasix 40 mg to be taken once and Neo-K (potassium chloride) 500 mg twice daily for 5 days for now. My concern is that I ate two potatoes, one banana, a cup of yogurt, and tomato, all potassium sources today.
Avatar n tn It probably won’t surprise you to learn that, quite often, that cause turns out to be hypochlorhydria, or low stomach acid. If that’s the case, then add injections of vitamin B12 with folic acid to your program.
Avatar m tn s of Furosemide (lasix) is a high dose that can deplete or greatly decrease your electrolytes and effect your amino acid levels. Often the results and concern of taking this high of a dose of a non-potassium sparing diuretic is dehydration. However Furosemide is an excellent diuretic that is effective in removing excessive fluid around one's heart and lungs. I assume you are talking about muscle amino acids. Amino Acids are the essential components of protein.
Avatar n tn Potassium and Calcium and important electrolytes in muscles. Potassium is one of those electrolytes you dont really want to be messed up in your body. High potassium levels can cause heart dysrrhythmias, since your heart is a big muscle, Other signs of hyperkalemia(increased potassium) are nausea vomitting, restlessness, irritability, I am looking in my book right now to make sure i can give you the most accurate information. Chloride there is not much on.
Avatar n tn Instead after years of issues like yours, I started taking Magnesium Chloride. Chloride has something to do with forming hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Ted is a holistic practitioner and was experiencing the same issues. After taking Mg Cl. 2 tabs before meals or with meals, his and my symptoms were all better. I got Mg Chloride from Amazon. Please google more on Mg Cl as there is lots more to learn about Mg itself, you'll be amazed.
Avatar m tn But most importantly, if you take rubidium, it’s important to take an equal or greater amount of potassium, because there’s more potassium than rubidium naturally present in your body. Make sure to check with your doctor first!!!!!

Avatar m tn m wondering if you can or can not use something like Lo Salt that has potassium chloride in it along with beta blockers, and if so how much is recommended. I'm looking to substitute lo salt for some other high in potassium foods in order to cut down on my sugar content.
Avatar f tn I read something where one of the electrolytes either sodium or chloride increases during ovulation. I think its sodium mainly, and also potassium. I would have to look it up again. I no there is a fertility watch that detects the rise of sodium level which would indicate ovulation.
