You are right to be concerned about the many long-term health issues of hysterectomy. Besides those you listed, there is an increased risk of heart disease, #1 killer of women (one study says it is 3x that of an intact woman if your uterus is removed). Hysterectomy also destroys the figure because they have to sever the uterine ligaments that are the support structures for the pelvis. And it's associated with increased risks of thyroid, renal cell (kidney) and rectal cancers.
Hoping someone will post info on alternatives to hysterectomy or at least give some good info on how they are feeling post hysterectomy.
It is likely to be just a coincidence that you have developed symptoms post your hysterectomy. Diabetes is a chronic disease and complications are unlikely to develop over a few weeks or months and alternative possibilities to the cause of your symptoms may need to be considered. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.

t want to go through a surgical procedure and then end up having to have a hysterectomy in the long run. Naturally, I also don't want to have a hysterectomy and end up with complications and am really afraid of menopause. Any advise you might have would be greatly appreciated.

Evem acute, untreated NGU appears to be harmless when not caused by chlamydia, and no complications have been reported from NGU acquired during oral sex. Hi- Just wondering if anyone out there had any complications post total hysterectomy? I had mine 3 months ago due to several cysts again! Paternal grandma died of ovarian cancer at age 50. I had 15 years of cysts, and a total of 8 laporosopies. I am not even 40 yet! Any how, at my 8 wk check up my oncologist said everything was fine, no infection, no cancer, etc., I can try having sex with my husband. We did everything was fine.
