440989 tn?1281001534 It is 4 weeks post laproscopic hiatal hernia repair. I am slowly healing. I am noticing my breathing has become more labored then pre surgery. First thing in the morning I am finding myself short of breathe immediately after standing up. Also, I have a second floor study and find myself breathing heavy after climbing the stairs. I have begun walking and doing breathing exercises which seems to improve the process. Is there anything else I can do?
Avatar m tn I had left inguinal and umbilical hernia surgery at the same time, and on day 5 post-op, I couldn't stand it anymore and had to masturbate. It burned slightly immediately before and during ejaculation. I waited 2 more days, tried it again and everything was fine. I would say if you feel up to it, go for it!!
Avatar f tn I had hernia surgery 7 1/2 wks ago cannot believe the pain i have had. It was a spagelian hernia and I am a female. After surgery my incision & other private parts swelled up the size of a cantelope and turned black & blue , so pain full couldn't walk. bruising and swollen from upper thighs to belly button and around both sides. Said it's a hematoma. Used mesh but that's all I really know.
Avatar f tn HAD SURGERY ON APRIL 9 TODAY IS APRIL 13. FEEL TIGHTNESS IN CHEST. WOKE UP WITH A BRUISE MIDWAY DOWN MY LEFT LEG. I HAVE BRUISING WHERE ENTRY WAS MADE IN BOTH LEGS BUT LEFT LEG IS STILL PAINFUL. RIGHT LEG IS GOOD OTHER THAN BRUISING. WORRIED ABOUT BLOOD CLOTS AND WHEN DO YOU GET CONCERNED ENOUGH BEFORE SEEKING MEDICAL ATTENTION FOR IT.
324372 tn?1222820202 Wow - Sheri, your little guy's kicking the boohonkey (new word!) out of you! I don't remember bruising on the outside although I did end up w/an umbilical hernia to remember this pregnancy by - I can't believe you're already to 33 weeks!
Avatar n tn Two years after double hernia surgery, I am experiencing a burning pain similar to the pain I had prior to surgery, although more mild and intermittent. I have cut down on sit ups and other exercising, hoping that is the problem, although it hasn't helped(yet). Any suggestions?
1756675 tn?1312592804 I was doing pretty well afterwards except a lot of bruising and being sorre which is normal. However, a week after my surgery i woke up with blood coming out of my belly button from the incision. I went to the ER and the doctor said it was normal as long as it was watery blood not thick and sent me home that was on Monday.
5829074 tn?1375034908 One other - possibly unrelated to this pain - is that I have an inguinal hernia. Apparently this happened 6 months prior to the surgery and went undiagnosed, as I thought it (the bulge) was just related to my suprapubic catheter. I never had scrotal/testicle pain until after the surgery though. I'd be grateful for any thoughts on this. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I had lap surgery on April11th. Had staples removed last week. I still have pain and swelling the size of a golfball on navel and below it. When I lie down,it goes down. No fever or redness present. Any ideas or anyone else have that too with this surgery? Thank you.

Avatar f tn Sounds like bruising post surgery which in not an emergency but your Veterinarian should run a platelet count and clotting factors to be more thorough.
Avatar n tn Thats terrible, I am so sorry you are going through this difficult time...have they done an MRI or colonoscopy?? Why did they have to call a 2nd surgeon in? Almost sounds like they have done damage to the colon? I really hope you get answers soon, no one should have to suffer like this.
Avatar n tn Does this mean surgery failed? is hernia back (now they are referring to this as a paraesophageal hernia) The doctors never told us herina might be back so I am wondering when I see x-ray report and it shos Pre-demonstartion of hernia, does that mean there is a new issue or they are seeing repaired hernia? is it typical that Nissen wrap would slip so soon after surgery?
Avatar m tn Hello, thanks so much for reaching out regarding issues post-inguinal hernia surgery. Do you experience erection and ejaculation issues post surgery? Have you noticed any improvement over the years in these issues? If you have any questions for me please feel free, I've been trying to reach out to anyone who has experienced the same issues but have struggled to do so. I also found this one article that is quite an interesting read and seems to support what we are talking about: https://www.
Avatar m tn s and so I concluded that the only hope to fix this problem was to close the hiatal hernia. I found one of the most recognized surgeons in Argentina who is also the head of surgery in the GI department at the best hospital in Argentina. He told me he had done at least a thousand of these surgeries. Faced with a lifetime of throat clearing and cough I threw the dice and decided to have it done. Today is 28 November and the surgery was performed on 15 Nov.
Avatar f tn It's normal to have some bruising. You posted just 3 days after surgery so it's normal to have some pain as well as malaise. It shouldn't be long before you should gradual improvement but it will take at least a month to feel even close to normal. Also, be aware that you may experience hormonal changes since your ovary was removed. Sometimes those will even out of time but they may not.
648187 tn?1232996459 It seems a little late for the normal post-op bruising. I suppose 4 days isn't all that long but if it's too long for your confort I think I would ck. at either an Urgent Care Facility or ER. It doesn't seem normal at 3 weeks after surgery.
Avatar f tn I had that problem with my first and it was caused by a hernia... also look up diastsis recti exercises its to tighten the two sides of your stomach muscles to go back together better...
