A poll of family, friends and know-it-alls indicates the portable concentrator might be a better solution as long as there is a power source available. A battery pack provides for about 2 hours of operation, and the model I looked at will plug into the accessory power plug typical in all vehicles. If I team that up with the ordinary O2 tanks (for several hours of emergency air), I think I will have the most efficient and practical package. I would appreciate any thoughts anyone might have.

It was also convenient for pumping in the car with the battery pack. It kept up my milk production pretty well. My favorite storage bag was the lansinoh bags.

So what exactly are they, portable cribs? If they are do you think its alright to get one instead of a proper crib or not worth it? Anyone got one? Please explain it to me...

I have known people who did use a pack n play instead of a crib for different reasons, money, or space. My only suggestion is to invest in the quilted pad and sheets so it is more easily washable. Good luck!

I'm planning to use a pack and play. I have one that has the adjustable level. So baby can be up higher to make reaching easier as I am having a csection.

Could you mean portable crib? I have also read that the crib rails should be stationary, but I am a 1st timer, and know many other friends who had drop side cribs and were fine.

I'm looking for pearls of wisdom,advice and general 'user' comments on CPAP.I'm newly diagnosed with sleep apnea, and more importantly long and frequent episodes of decreased oxygen due to airway obstruction. I didn't know I had an apnea problem. I am now on day 11 of CPAP use at pre-set minimum of 5 lbs pressure which auto adjusts higher as needed. And nothing goes with this new sleep outfit! Any thoughts? Joan.

i am very blessed and grateful that I received so many gifts. I got a a lot of big items including a swing that also turns into a portable rocker, a really cool bouncer, a pack and play that has a bassinet and vibrating rocker that comes out, and a Fisher Price snugapuppy rock'n play sleeper. So... my dilemma is, I have too much stuff and I'm afraid we won't use all these things. Keep in mind we have a crib too.

A pack & play also know as a playpen is a good solution. They're way cheaper than an expensive crib and it's portable. You can take it into the living room or bedroom even pack it up and take it wherever you go. It's also smaller and saves lots of space. You can buy a cheap one for under $60 or used ones for even cheaper.

We packed a portable dvd player, nintendo ds, books, pack of cards, but we never used any of it. Seemed like those first couple of days we either had visitors, the baby was awake, I was pumping to build milk supply or we were going for little walks to get everything moving after csection.

The crib I used almost from the time he was born, but I also had the pack n play, because it was portable and made traveling with him/having him with a baby sitter SO much easier. I could just bring the pack n play, it sets up fast, I didn't use the bassinet part, I just put him all the way down on the bottom...I think I spent $150 on the pack n play, and about the same on the crib. It was well worth the money I've spent...I've used them both so much.

They put me on a z pack and told me to take Claritin D. I am now three day into the z pack and I can now no longer hear water running when I wash my hands or brush my teeth. I am still running a slight fever and my head feels like it's going to explode. Inside my head it sounds like an endless rain storm. I am going crazy.....what else could this be??

From what I've read on a site devoted to cpap (cpaptalk) some of the older machines are workhorses and some report length of service similar to yours. It would not hurt to plan for the day it does "give up the ghost". Have you had it checked to make sure it is still outputting the proper pressure? Also, many of the newer machines capture treatment data so that you can know if your treatment is effective, and some even have available software so you can monitor it yourself.

I have all three, BC i have a small room I'm using a cradle bassinet right now until baby is few months old (cradle/bassinet takes up no room) Then i have a pack n play BC it's portable and if I'm in the kitchen cooking i can have the pack in play close by small and convenient. And i have a crib For when baby gets older.

There is clear and recognized link between MS and sleep disorders --- at least some types of sleep disorders and especially when MS lesions are present in the brain stem. MS can definitely cause a type of sleep apnea called central sleep apnea. I'm wondering if you have that and if it might be why you need bi-pap instead of CPAP. Do you have trouble exhaling against the constant air pressure of CPAP (if you ever used it, of course)?

A portable playpen that has a bassinet connected to it.

My plan is to carry on my meds in the prescription bottles in a six pack cooler. I place my pro click in a toothbrush holder with smaller ice packs in a cosmetic bag. Then place that bag in the cooler bag with the larger ice pack that comes with monthly shipping. I estimate that I have to keep this cold for a minimum of 12 hours. Preflight 2 hrs, 6 hrs flight, and 2 hrs post flight with a 2 hr cushion. Any ideas? I also have to carry snacks. Do you think this will hold?

I'd splurge on a pack n play combo. One with multi features such as a changing table, bassinet, and the pack n play option of course. You can do without towels and baby rags, because its all the same to use yours. Dont bother with a tub, you just put a towel to pad the sink. Buy tons of diapers, wipes and baby clothes!
