Pneumonia vaccine good for how long

Common Questions and Answers about Pneumonia vaccine good for how long

You are seeing a pulmonologist, which is a good thing, when this clears up, I bet they give you the pneumonia vaccine.
I know people are dieing it is scary for everyone but if you have an illness, it is life threatening. What exactly is boop? How are you doing now? Thanks for sharing. It is interesting to me that I have heard a lot of stories like yours but the news media and the doctors all say this flue is mild and don't come to the hospitals and clinics. To stay home and then we hear on the news that x amount of people have died from it. Makes no sense to me.
How many are 'for' having healthy children (13 yrs old) vaccinated? How many 'against'? My son's school is offering them. I just don't know. Dont want to make the wrong decision. My instincts say not to have him vaccinated. Ive heard a lot of negative things about the vaccination. But I also don't want to get caught up in the negative hype and keep him from getting it if its important. There is SO much negative and positive hype. I am just confused.
I am a Hashimoto's patientfor all my life. I have my seasonal flu shot and pneumonia vaccine for this season with no ill efects except pain and heaviness in the arm for a few days I asked my doctor about swine flu vaccine. He said: It depends how old you are. If you're over 65: you get the vaccine through injection on the arm and it made with dead viruses. And it is safe. He recomended I should get it. If you are young, you get that through the nose, the vaccine has live virusus.
I got a pneumonia vax about 10 yrs ago. I've gotten my seasonal flu shot and my H1N1 shot. I had worse side effects from the seasonal flu shot than I did with the H1N1 shot..., just to let anybody know that hasn't gotten H1N1 yet. I really found it to be no big deal. The only side effect that I had was a bit of a sore arm at the shot site for a few days. I had no fever w/the H1N1 shot. I did have fever with the seas.flu shot.
But some strains of the bacteria (strep pneumoniae) that cause pneumonia have become resistant. This new drug he has/had you on hopefully is good. But again if you feel worse in the chest or breathing see the doctor or if you develop a high fever. Hope this helps. Feel free to write back if you need to.
It's a far far greater number. Look at the mortality rate prior to having vaccine available. For me, this is an easy decision. My family is up to date on our vaccines, and I will keep it that way. Yep, that includes annual flu shots (H1N1 included..and yes I took it while pregnant as well). And I am continuing on my mission to not allow unvaccinated children into our school system. And up until recently I was not pro making it illegal to not vaccinate.
I am one of the first people in my state (Massachusetts) to get the vaccine because of my 11 week old, so it seems they don't have a lot of information here about what side effects have come with the vaccine. My main fear is, how long will this last and will it get worse?
He has had a second X ray on Sunday 1st of April and although he is more playful then ever, eats like a lion and seems better, the doctor says his condition has not improved. I know the prognosis for pups with Pneumonia is not good but I am determined to do everything for Sanchez. I would like to hear of anyone who has had experiences and/or knowledge about this condition? Thank you and bless all the animal lovers.
My personal opinion is that, unless your immunity is compromised, getting swine flu is going to be less dire for you (and unborn baby) than the vaccine. NO ONE knows how this vaccine is going to go. I would rather not risk it. Also, look at the stats- compare how many people have died from H1N1 with how many people die from the seasonal flu yearly. So I do not plan on getting the vaccine whatsoever.
I am going to see my GP tomorrow to make sure we can start ruling out the scary GBS. It's been a long 4 days for sure and it seems like it's going to be a long few weeks. Thanks for all your post. I don't feel so alone reading them. My hubby is not the most supportive about this because he was against the shot to start with.
What I find stunning is how everyone who is all for getting the H1N1 shot aren't looking at the big picture. WHY WHY in GODS NAME would you risk your lives and babies lives with a LIVE virus? YOU are trying to avoid the swine flu but will inject yourself with it. Makes no sense. People who trust doctors make me laugh.
So unless you have had adverse reactions to seasonal flu vaccine, you are pretty safe with this one. Yes, I did take this vaccine. We know for certain that this flu is hitting pregnant women hard. Choose not to take it, that is fine, but please ensure you have researched from credible sources, not sources that feed into fear and paranoia.
You are better off talking to your doctor and asking which vaccine is best for you for your condition and asking what the difference between the european batch compared to where ever you are from since the European batch is causing such issues.. I would only pray that the right decision is made for you by you.
I was bed-ridden for 7 weeks which was how long it took for the doctors to come up with a diagnosis of Transverse Myelitis. I think that I am one of the lucky ones having experienced a nearly full recovery at this point, almost 6 months after. I still have pain and tingling in my feet ALL the time, and I'm now on medication which makes me more tired than I used to be. Look up Transverse Myelitis on You Tube. Watch the videos of the people learning to walk again after their ordeal.
“Today's approval is good news for our nation's response to the 2009 H1N1 influenza virus,” said Commissioner of Food and Drugs Margaret A. Hamburg, M.D. “This vaccine will help protect individuals from serious illness and death from influenza.” The vaccines are made by CSL Limited, MedImmune LLC, Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics Limited, and sanofi pasteur Inc.
hi everyone i just got the iud put in about 3week ago and my period been on for 2 weeks you know how long it will be on? if i go get it taken out will my period do right off?
I just do not know how you can tell if the vaccine is actually going to cause any issues in the long run when it is only tested such a short period of time. It took me 12 years to decide to have another child and I really would like to make sure that my baby does not have any issues especially from a vaccine that noone truely knows much about.
the doctor told me i would feel week and tired and would take quite a long time and good part of up to 6 months for the fatigue to wear off from the pneumonia i had!!)) ..... just this time i don't have the chills and high fever .. could i be relapsing ?? I have absolutely no energy , at times I feel short of breath, if its real hot or humid i will break out in a cold sweat.. and that's how it started before.. but it took weeks before i got real bad and went to the hospital..
I take a 500 mg capsule and mix it with 10 to 12 ml of distilled water for an equivalent mixture of 48 to 50 mg/ml once a day for a 9 lb. cat. Keep it in the refrigerator. Good for 10 days when refrigerated. Lately, I've been treating a cat with FIV with mouth sores and it cleared up immediately after administering the mixture to the cat. He's eating fine again and gaining weight.
Hello Jewel, If you are active here, i would like to share that i am also experiencing LCV (Vasculitis) and also started after a flu vaccine that caused severe flu. i, like others am looking for remedies and help. thank you all for posting your experiences.
Hello, Good day! I would like to inquire how many months from first hepa B vaccination can a person develop antibody? Actually, I had my first shot last July 15, 2008. My second dose was in August 15, 2008. I check my HBSAg today November 7, 2008 and the result yield non-reactive. My first hepa B vaccine was given on July 15, 2008 at noontime. On Friday night July 18, 2008 I had a high fever and it became intermittent for 3 days. I was hospitalized in July 22 due to minimal pneumonia.
The flu vaccine is recommended for pregnant women. If you choose to get one, ask for one that DOES NOT contain mercury.
I had a TT on in Sept 2007 and we are still working on the med adjustments, though I believe the dose is close to being right. The way I have managed to keep my wits abut me through the though times was to try to keep perspective that my moods, anxiety, etc... were chemical and all I had to do was ride the wave out. There is always a peak where you feel the worst, but once you're over the hump you begin to feel better.
I'm not an immunologist, but I'm guessing that revving up the immune system to produce antibodies can be a stressor in itself and the body probably doesn't have unlimited resources to produce antibodies for every disease for which we can invent a vaccine. I agree that, for the majority, vaccine benefits probably far outweigh any risks. Just saying that we might want to procede with caution and not assume 'if a little is good, a lot must be better'.
If you do fall ill, how long does it take you to recover? What does illness do to your other sx?
• Get your doctor’s approval for all medications. • Get vaccines for flu, pneumonia, and hepatitis. Avoid Alcohol Abstaining from alcohol helps to stop liver damage. In some cases, the liver may repair some of the damage, which can help to reduce your symptoms and improve your quality of life. Eat a Balanced Diet An appropriate diet can help your liver tissues regenerate and can reduce the severity of symptoms in more advanced disease.
Thanks for the suggestions, but I don't know what EFT or NLP stand for...???? I've often wondering if the sub-conscience could hold onto or remember things that happen when we're so young...
So is using Milk Thistle good for you if you have hep b. i use to take it when I worked out. I wouldn't mind taking it again. Is there any other natural things we should be taking.
