Avatar f tn Hi, and sorry I took so long getting to your post. I am not a doctor but can give you advice. Are you allergic to eggs? One of the side effects of the flu vaccine is "occasional vomiting or diarrhea." Obviously, if you are allergic to eggs you probably would have had a more severe reaction but people have different reactions to food allergies. Also, perhaps for you the vaccine seems to give you vomiting as the norm rather than occasionally.

Im wondering if my 18yr old who has asthma will be at the top of the list to get this vaccine too. Luckily her asthma is very very mild but I still want her protected.

Avatar f tn s causing your symptoms. If you are concerned about the vaccine and potential side effects, talk to the doctor or clinic who administered it to you. Instead of taking a vaccine for a disease that isn't even present in your country, you would be better served by finding a counselor who can help you address your irrational fears.
Avatar f tn Has anyone with CFS had the pneumonia vaccine Pneumo 23 and what was your experience of it?

I am not allowed to refer you to my blog but I know that Dr.Mercola did a great blog with references on his website so you can read more THERE. What to take instead? What I give everyone including my dad! Good pharma grade digestive enzymes and betaine. Works much better and is totally safe.
Avatar n tn Thank you so much for taking the time to respond, it is greatly appreciated. My last vaccine was over a week ago, and I have seen some fluctuation of the side effects since this post as well. They are fairly steady and constant, but I have noticed a decrease on occasion so am hopeful they may all pass soon. I’ve also began utilizing OTC pain meds daily which do help tremendously the constant headache.
Avatar f tn I would have the flu vaccine and within a week, flu symptoms which then went to my chest and then Pneumonia,,,the final year I had the pneumovax vaccine and ended up in hospital. 898849 tn?1241811271 How important is it to get the flu and/or pneumonia vaccine, being that I have heart failure. I just heard about the recent death in Washington where the individual had a heart condition, pneumonia and swine flu. I was recently diagnosed with CHF in January, so all this is still very new to me.
Avatar m tn Has anyone had or heard of side effects from this for a patient with jejunostomy? Prayers are welcome and we are ever thankful for blessings.
Avatar n tn Mild problems: • soreness, redness, tenderness, or swelling where the shot was given • fainting (mainly adolescents) • headache, muscle aches • fever • nausea If these problems occur, they usually begin soon after the shot and last 1-2 days. Severe problems: • Life-threatening allergic reactions to vaccines are very rare. If they do occur, it is usually within a few minutes to a few hours after the shot. If the reaction is severe: What should I look for?
Avatar f tn ) My children are 8 and 9, I had them each get the nasal mist for H1N1 with no ill side effects. I know of several people who have gotten the H1N1 vaccine and no ill effects. My niece got it and she got it for her 6 month old baby, no ill effects. My daughter has chosen not to get the vaccine and not to have my 10 month old granddaughter get the vaccine. She has flown here twice with the baby cross country during the swine flu outbreak and luckily neither had contracted a flu of any kind.
Avatar n tn Like so many, I trusted my doctor and let her get the vaccine. Luckily, we have not had the serious side effects that I now know of. I would have never let her get the vaccine if I knew. My question is, does anybody know if the serious side effects happened mostly right after the vaccine or could my daughter still have a bad reaction. She has had all three shots. Her last shot was in March and she did start to have a chesty cough after that. She still does.

Avatar f tn Just for those who may not know, the H1N1 vaccine is included in the seasonal flu vaccine this year. Last year, I got both shots and had no problems w/the H1N1 vax. I just wanted to let you know that in case you might be wondering about the H1N1 part. In fact, I really didn't hear of any ill effects in the news from anybody taking the H1N1 shot.

676912 tn?1332812551 There are possible side effects with ANY medication you take, including things like tylenol or advil. Avatar n tn We were advised to give her a flu shot and pneumonia vaccines. It is most likely the pneumonia vaccine that is causing the pain and the lump. She had a SEVERE reaction to the vaccine. Her arm swelled. The shot site was huge, very red, very swollen (have never seen anything like it). She also, became extremely, extremely ill (unstoppable vomitting, high fever). She was sooo sick. I had the same vaccines at the same time. the flu shot did not hurt at all.

955491 tn?1253935699 It might be worth it to see a dermotologist about the rash that continues. I was under the impression that it would eventually go away as the chemo leaves one's system. It's possible, however, it made you develop some kind of fungus that a topical cream or oral medication might be able to help. I was lucky in that it didn't do anything to me except the mouth sores and thrush. It took a while for that to go away, and I still have issues with it 2 years out from Doxil.
