Common Questions and Answers about Pneumonia urinary tract infection

pneumonia

Avatar n tn t surprising if you have an infection there as it is a relatively common organism for a urinary tract infection. It is unlikely you would get pneumonia from it.
Avatar m tn Well pneumonia is not an STD. You don't get it that way. Maybe you are worried about a urinary tract infection? Generally, Strep. pneumoniae it the " classic" type of bacteria for pneumonia but there are other bacteria that can cause pneumonia. So if you have frequent urination that is hard to go and and especially if it burns when you go that could be a sign of a urinary tract infection. If it is gone then I wouldn't worry about it.
Avatar f tn If there is no kissing and it is bacterial, you might get a urinary tract infection. It is not likely either though. But, I would get more information or just ask the doctor. This is not a simple question.
Avatar f tn I'm sorry about your fibromyalgia anyway, fever is not part of fibromyalgia. the diagnosis of fever is complicated. I'm not sure from your description, but if the pains are in your muscles, the most common cause of fever and muscle pains is the flu. you should go to your doctor to see if he finds other clues to source of fever, and check your CPK level, the muscle enzyme that is elevated if there is inflamation of muscles.
Avatar n tn The infection can move up to your kidneys quite quickly. Urinary tract infection is not serious in females, but in males it is.

4251679 tn?1370305531 UTIs are exactly what their name describes. and infection in your urinary tract. its not in your vagina, however, ive always been told not to have sex while you have one because sex could be the cause of it. and its best to make sure its all better before introducing even more bacteria. Ive never heard of it being contagious, and dont think that it is, but ask your doctor. and ive also never had a cream to use, so im not sure what thats for.
Avatar n tn You may not even have to bring your dog in for an exam if the urine is positive for a simple urinary tract infection (an infection without crystals). The vet can simply give appropriate antibiotics. If your dog has crystals in his urine, the crystals would need to be identified and treatment instituted. Crystals can be dangerous in male dogs because if they become large enough they can become lodged in the urethra and cause blockage (even in dogs, though more common in male cats).

Avatar f tn How do you tell the difference between a urinary tract infection and yeast infectiy?
Avatar n tn I have found a lot of material that it can be cause of endocarditis and pneumonia but no article with more information about urinary tract infection except that it can be cause of it.
Avatar f tn Causes include lesions of the urinary tract, Kidney pathologies, trauma, tumors, malaria or stones in the urinary tract. In your case UTI needs to be probed thoroughly as to whether it is responsible for causing such symptoms. I feel that without clinical examination, pinpointing a diagnosis is tough. Also a complete urine examination and culture may be required. Please consult a urologist for confirming the diagnosis. I hope that helps. Kind regards.
Avatar n tn After confirming the diagnosis of a urinary tract infection through urine tests, antibiotic treatment may be started. A urine culture and sensitivity test will determine the specific organism responsible as well as the antibiotic treatment. Drinking plenty of fluids also help. Take care and best regards.
Avatar f tn Recurrent respiratory infections, concurrent with recurrent urinary tract infections is a very common scenario because infection in each of these sites, lungs and urinary tract, is very common. For this reason, the occurrence of these two, together, does not mean that they are related in any way, including having a common cause.
Avatar f tn I have a question for those of you with urinary tract problems. I have had several UTIs and seem to be retaining urine. Also, my bladder and kidneys hurt. As many of you know, I do have Lupus. The question I have is should I be going to a urologist? I have talked to my GP about this and I have even mentioned being tested for Lupus Nephritis, but he just tells me that anytime he has checked my kidneys they have been fine.
Avatar n tn i had a urinary tract infection less than a month ago and i drank all the cranberry juice in the world to get rid of it. it disappeared a week later. my boyfriend and i have great sex regularly 3-4 times a week and since i had this infection it either takes me a lonngggg time to orgasm or i dont orgasm at all. can my inablity to have great sex be related to my urinary tract infection? and if so, how can i fix it? please help.
Avatar f tn It's probably just a urinary tract infection. Very common. Antibiotics will clear it up in no time. Relax. Getting worked up about it isn't going to solve anything.
Avatar f tn Just recently in 2008 while I was hospitalized with a kidney infection and pneumonia, I discovered that I was passing gas through the penis and catheter. About April of 2008 after having had a cystoscopy it was discovered that I have a fistula (hole) between my prostate and rectum. Due to this I had come down with Ecoli which spread to the kidneys. The urologist treating me now thinks that this was caused by self catheterization.
Avatar n tn There is nothing you can really do about the urinary tract infection except take the antibiotics. They may want you to take a stronger antibiotic (prescribed by your doctor) but being pregnant makes us more probable to have urinary tract infections. It doesn't become a problem unless you ignore it.
