Avatar f tn With the leg problem that you feel like stretching them, it sounds like it could be "restless leg syndrome". This is usually treated with an antidepressant called amitriptyline. With your arms aching too, you may have some form of arthritis. Unfortunately as we get older, us unfortunate ones, start to feel aches and pains. Ask your doctor about the restless leg syndrome. Pain relief and anti-inflammatories may help.

Avatar f tn Yes. Some on T4 med only will have hypo symptoms. Especially if your thyroid is gone!!! The muscle pain is from lack of T3. Shame on your misinformed doctor. Please post your last lab results. Even with T3 you must give it time. Hypo effects can linger as it takes more than 3 months to recover from a hypo body state.
Avatar f tn A few days ago, I began experiencing muscle aches everywhere that I cannot explain through changes in exercise or activity. Is this my body adjusting to the medication and needing more Synthroid? Blood test next Friday for synthroid increase. Prior to beginning my medication, the only hypo symptoms I had included tiredness and horrific periods.

Avatar n tn I took 20 days of levaquin 3 years ago for pneumonia. I was 39 years of age, healthy with no other problems and took no other medications. On day 15 I developed severe total body aching. I took all 20 days, eventually recovered from the pneumonia but then suffered tendon pain primarily in my elbows and knees for 2 years. During the time I took the drug, I had a lot of muscle twitching. One year ago I started having random shooting pain that has progressed.
Avatar n tn I am a 35 yo female who has been experiencing headaches, high BP, facial numbness (right side), chest pains, (costochondritis) and overall fatigue and body aches, and muscle spasms in right leg for two months now. In the past year I have had pneumonia twice, and have suffered from IBS symptoms for about 6 months. I do have PCOS....but that is the only health problem that has been identified positively thus far. I am at my wits end and feel my docs are not taking me seriously.
Avatar m tn I started with muscle aches (knees) migraines, neck pain and severe gastrointestinal bloating etc and I was tested and was positive for a wheat and gluten allergy. I was always healthy. I had the ELISA panel, the skin test was negative. I developed intestinal candida overgrowth from it and that has multiple symptoms. I stopped wheat and gluten and was on a course of treatment I felt so much better.

Avatar f tn I would suggest that if your symptoms become worse including return of fever, vision changes, chills or other concerning symptoms; that you not hesitate to return to the emergency department before your scheduled MRI.
Avatar m tn As for you specific symptoms, muscle aches and pains can point to not enough magnesium. And anxiety is a high suspect for low magnesium. Magnesium is called the relaxation/anti anxiety mineral. Low magnesium also affects the bladder. A double blind trial found that women with bladder control problems who took magnesium supplements had better bladder control and felt less of a sense of urgency about using the bathroom than women who took a placebo (sugar pill).

501895 tn?1210201743 I'm afraid to take drugs. I quit Cymbalta because of the waring on the lable. Zoloft is supposed to be o.k.? I have muscle aches and it's probably pyscosymatic. Should I just take milk thistle? Or liv-54? iI take codiene because the pain is unbearable. Today, though, I took four 500mg vicodin, and got no relief. I don't have that much of a resistance, and am careful not to get addicted. Thank you in advance, i really am desperarate.
Avatar m tn I have been having back, arm, leg, neck, and hand muscle aches and stiffness for the past few days. How can i get rid of it and what could be the cause of it?
Avatar m tn For example, cough with yellow sputum and unilateral chest pain, in someone with fever and muscle aches, would strongly point to pneumonia as a good bet; and the same general symptoms plus urinary urgency and painful urination would suggest a urinary tract infection. Unfortunately, however, HIV has few or no such specific symptoms.
