My daughter had been diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumonia and now the doctor says she no longer has it. Her symptoms persist (severe headache, muscle and joint pain, no voice), duration of symptoms is six weeks. Is it possible to get mycoplasma, be cured and the symptoms persist? My daughter is 16yo and has missed 3 weeks of school. Please help!
The second day after an outpatient procedure involving a small incision, I got explosive vomiting, diareah and fever. I slept for 3 days, than I got bronhical pneumonia the 4th day, the 7th day I got an infection in my joint in my foot and wrist on the 8th day I got swollen gland and pain in my neck. It is now going on the third week and I am not well yet. I was treated with 2 antibiotics, but don't to seem to be much better. All I do is lay around, sleep and use heat on my neck.
hi, one of my closest friend had a short duration of upper respiratory infection. X - rays were taken which showed ihazziness. later CT was done and showed multiple nodes infilterated over the lungs. Ct guided biopsy was done which showed negative for malignancy and TB; necrotic tisuuue was found. repeat x-rays had reduced haziness

My son has been diagnos with bronco pneumonia. Given medication. on the 2nd day in hospital swellon anckles and feet appear. On the next morning swollen subside then red spots appear, then almost all joints swelled up again and he's in pain then small bruises on his feet appeared then gone. All test were done and seems all clear or nothing suspicious result. After 4 days again appeared and disappear on the next day.
Yes I did tell them. The pneumonia symptoms are starting to clear up I don't have a fever, never had a cough, starting to breathe better, and I have a lot more energy but still a bit light headed and throat is kind of sore and my voice hasn't return fully. I have been tested will get the results tomorrow.
With the flu,...in my experience,....you just gotta "ride it out".....don't try to do anything but lay around in your snuggly pajamas and rest....take some aspirin for your fever, try to keep hydrated with water and juices or 7-up (not sprite).....and when you feel up to eating something,....THE BEST thing is chicken noodle soup,...or cream of chicken soup.....there's something magical in that broth. Could be allergies, yes once you have had pneumonia you will have scarring ..it wont affect you, check out online for environmental allergies .
Yes “walking pneumonia” is contagious. The development of more symptoms, in the face of antibiotic therapy, is worrisome as is the “side pain” which I assume to be pleurisy and suggests that this infection may fall into the category of complicated pneumonia. In this circumstance you should definitely request careful reevaluation by your doctor or his designate to include at a minimum a repeat chest X-ray, a complete blood count and culture of your sputum.

Now there are a few bad sicknesses going around in my city with the same kind of symptoms, and the water in my city has been under a "must boil" rule lately and shes pretty sure she had some of the water. She was only really sick for a day. Does this just sound like a stomach flu, bad water, or does this sound like ARS ?
