As you know my older questions I am your forums follower and I have hiv fear. That is why I feel the need to ask about Hiv risks again. From last year visited about 18-20 different CSW or masseuse. I never did insertive anal or vaginal but every time something went wrong. I am sorry but I think there might be some risk for HIV.

Out of anxiety, I did a Home Access test yesterday, and am awaiting the results (this will be over 6 months, and follows all the negative tests already done). I am on the tail-end of pneumonia. Would pneumonia affect the test results in any way (false positive)? I promise, this is the last question -- and thanks again.

Will a patient see significant improvement on their PFT test after taking medication for a period of time. This was my orginal PFT test three weeks after having pneumonia and the second set of tests were performed two months afterwards. Do most people with COPD see this much of an improvement on their later PFT results or is there a possibility that maybe what I have is more asthma seen COPD?

P and he has sent me back to the hoaital for a medical opinion as I have been shortness of breath, the doc thinks I am Hyperventilen, I have pain in my centre of my chest going across my let breast and pain in my shoulders, I get tingly numbness feeling in arms and hands,my right shoulder feels swollen and tender, my chest Xray yesterday was clear, my oxygen is perfect 99-100% and the medical doctor thinks it may be dysfunctional breathing from the pneumonia, it is quite frightening I am Asthmat
My father is 79 years old, he was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia, upon exams they discovered he had a couple of arteries blocked. I think they said 40% blockage in one and not sure of the blockage in the other one, not sure what arteries are blocked. The cardiologist is recommending Bypass surgery, all the information I have read states that blockage of this type can usually be treated with medication.
Every other year for 15 years I would have either pneumonia or bronchitis. I would be given antibiotics for relief. I had always been sensitive to temperature or weather changes. Whenever I sweat, if the sweat dried up on my back, I would easily develop a sore cough or cold.
In 2001 a CT scan revealed a 12 mm-nodule. My doctor told me I had nasal drippings; he gave me a nose spray.
I started on the drops less than two years ago and am currently recovering from my second bout with pneumonia. I, too, thought the cause of the pneumonia might be related to the drops because my first illness happened within a month of initially starting on the drops. However, at that time of my original illness, my doctor said there was no connection.
I would be very interested to know if you have since learned any more information about a possible connection.
Our relationship lasted 1 year, so 2 years after we broke up i was diagnosed with some kind of pneumonia, and was given IV/Oral/Inhalated medications at the hospital. (2 days in the hospital + 1 week follow up with pills at home), (unfortunately i dont have the paper with the names of the madications).
Additional note:
All cirrhotics should have the flu shot (they are immunocompromised and have an increased risk of infection, with a worse outcome) along with having been vaccinated for other hepatitis viruses HAV, HBV, TB, pneumonia, etc.

My four year old Mimi has been in hospital for a week with pneumonia, the xrays that have been taken do not show any improvement although her temperature is now back to normal, she has had iv antibiotics and oral antibiotics, and is now home. Because she had pneumonina when she was two in her right lung, this time its in her upper left lung they have tested her for other things and we have to go back in six weeks for a check up and more blood tests and xrays.
What concerned me was after our act she told me that she had pneumonia a few months ago. I know that Pneumonia is associated with AIDS - this really got me concerned.
I am perfectly healthy, and she says she is too - except for some high blood pressure, and work/financial stress. I dont believe that she is promiscuous, but, have no way of confirming that. I have also been with just one partner and was recently tested clean.
about a month and 1/2 before i got pregnant i had severe respitory problems with pneumonia and was hospitalized for a week. so after my discharge at hosp my treatments were breathing machine with 2 medications in it...high doses of steroids(prednisone) for weeks..inhaler and advair. shortly after i went off the steroids i felt great. so i was just using my puff inhaler and advair. then a couple weeks later i find out i am pregnant so i stop the advair (category c ). i know stupid.
and a lack of air movement in my lower left lung. She diagnosed me with community acquired pneumonia. I was prescribed Robitussin with codeine to help me sleep, although all it really did was tire me slightly. After another week of feeling completely miserable I started to breath better, my nose dried out, and my cough produced less and less green mucus. Sleeping then was hard, but I was able to take my meds, settle down, sleep for about two hours, wake up again from coughing and repeat.
9 year old daughter was diagnosed with pneumonia last night. Now she is complaining that she is having lower back pain. Is this kidney infection?
My baby has been diagnosed with pneumonia, a week ago. She still acts as if she is in pain, and has short rapid breaths. She is on Zeniquin, and a pain med. She was originally in an oxygen kennel for 2 days, and was pretty good when we brought her home. Now it seems like she gets these bouts of gasping for air, her gums are still pink.
I am startin to think her vets arent sure what is wrong with her.
Could be allergies, yes once you have had pneumonia you will have scarring ..it wont affect you, check out online for environmental allergies .
basically i have had a pain in my bk at first i thought oh it will pass but itll just ache n ache but wen i try rubbing it to make it better i cnt find the spot like it underneath the ribcage its so painful then n e heavy movement it winds me then it got worse as days went on for acouple of days till i had enough and went to the doctors it really set in then they said just to take paracetamol wat i was already doing and wasnt touching my pain i then went to hospital because i was really bad i c
