I am a occupational therapy student and have a case study on an 8 year old boy who has developed enuresis at night, he has started to soil himself, as a result is being bullied at school, he is reluctant to go to school and complains of physical symptoms stomach ache and head ache
his mother died at the age of five, his dad has recently started a new relationship
please can you help, give any suggestions as to why he may being doing these things

I've encountered a case in which a 5-day old puppy was brought in the clinic with hemoptysis, I concluded that it was aspiration pneumonia because the puppy was only been nursed by the owner...
I have all the symptoms of pneumonia. The xray came back as either pneumonia or lung cancer. Small mass found on lower left lung. Treating me for pneumonia. I will have repeat xray possible cat scan. Asking in advance. How often is this found? Can pneumonia look like lung cancer? Day two of medication and I do feel better and fever broke. I still have pains from my cough and still expereince the sweaty, hot and cold bouts but feel better despite general aches and pains.
I totally understand how irritating to hear "it's never the case" from a doctor. A CT scan for my lunch 4 months ago showed a very small light up on my thyroid gland. The doctor said I dont even have to get it checked up on because its probably a false positive . I did anyway though. And the next doctor said because Im only 22 its probably nothing, needless to say I went to about 5 doctors after that and hd all diff tests, and everyone said its prob nothing.... It was cancer.
He also took her off of her lasix, because this contributed to kidney failure. He would only release her to a nursing home and would not write an order to resume the blood thinner or the lasix. We were told that without the blood thinner she would develop blood clots around the valve and it would either stop working all together causing a heart attack or it would throw clots causing strokes and this could cause death, paralysis or a coma like state for years.

I'm sure it's just a follow-up to see if the infection is still there or has gone away. I've had several during my current bout of pneumonia, before an after each round of antibiotics. But stay in touch with your doctor if the symptoms get worse.
I started nursing school about 4 months ago. I have put on about 20 lbs. Along with the added stress and sedentary life of always studying I am in a slump. I have started tracking my calories and I am trying to eat better. I think about working out all the time but between the kids, working, nursing school, and lack of energy I never go.
The levels in his liver were extremely high, his half a kidney was failing and a terrible case of pneumonia. Then we find out he has congestive heart failure with an ejection fraction of only 14.5%. I know very scary he is only 36. My questions are what can they do to improve that number and what is the life expectancy for someone with that number? Also would u say he is a candidate for disability?
and a lack of air movement in my lower left lung. She diagnosed me with community acquired pneumonia. I was prescribed Robitussin with codeine to help me sleep, although all it really did was tire me slightly. After another week of feeling completely miserable I started to breath better, my nose dried out, and my cough produced less and less green mucus. Sleeping then was hard, but I was able to take my meds, settle down, sleep for about two hours, wake up again from coughing and repeat.
My family and I are at a loss. My dad had his aortic valve replaced (elective/scheduled) on 12/15/22. The Dr. said he lost a lot of blood and they had trouble controlling his blood pressure during the surgery. He was never extubated after the surgery, never followed commands. They did a CT scan 4 days later, that's when it was discovered he had a stroke. Later that week he had a trach and g-tube put in.
