Please take her to the vet again and have her back and neck examined for disk disease, and of course have her treated if necessary. I have two Yorkshire Terriers. One which I've had for about 7 years now and the other which I've had for around 4 years. The older one is female. They've always gotten along and been in good health up until around 6 months ago. My younger dog, Nike, has gotten very territorial of me and lashes out at my other dog, Hershey, when I give her attention. If your dog does not have these diseases than he probably has idiopathic megaesophagus which means that the cause can't be found. Megaesophagus usually occurs in large breed dogs. Was the amoxicillin leftover from a previous illness, or recently prescribed for this latest round? If you are trying to treat him yourself, it's a losing battle. Dogs can get upper respiratory infections that can lead to pneumonia - just like people. Please don't wait to get him in to see a vet. You have to make certain that he's on an antibiotic that will hit whatever bacteria is making him sick.

Does he spit it up immediately completely undigested, or does it spend some time in his stomach before coming back up? Has he been doing this for a long time, a short time, or on and off?
