iam just geting over pneumonia and i have started getting joint pain.
I was feeling pretty bad coughing wheezing, bad chest pain. My friend and I diagnosed it as brochitis or pneumonia so I took 7 Levaquin, one a day for 7 days (had it in the house). Still felt bad after a week or so and went to my doctor who prescribed same Levaquin 500 mg for 7 days. My doctor ordered chest xrays and blood work. Blood work was just a little off she said not sure what was high or low as this was told to me over the phone.
I am diagnosed with pneumonia but the soctor says it can be cured at home. He has given medicine augmentin with other drugs. Will thia work? Do i need to get admitted?
I'm a 32 year old male in Canada. I'm 185lb,5'9". I've had a dull chest pain on my left side right under my armpit area and around to the center of the chesty for the past 4 months. I've been ignoring it as it was such a dull pain I'd almost call it a sensation instead of pain.
So I had the flu last week as did my whole family. I was hit hard, very weak, major headache, neck and back ache, fever. Never developed much coughing but felt a bit phlegm.
I know that sounds crazy but my due date is April 25 but at my last ultrasound dr said baby is measuring a week ahead. That was in January. Well today my uterus is measuring 4 weeks bigger... Hopfully the ultrasound monday will clear some things up...
Anyway, i was told today that i have pneumonia, as if being a high risker already isnt enough lets throw that curve ball in there!
I probably should have put this on the autism forum, but since I know most every one here, and we all have more in common I felt more comfortable just venting here. I am sorry for not keeping in touch the past few weeks. first week pneumonia, second approved for chemo, third no chemo, forth no chem. I dont even want to know what the ca125 is since my numbers are always running pretty high, anyway I am sorry.
i have been showing signs of pneumonia lately and also felt a small bum under my armpit but cannot see anything. what i want to know is can the axillary lymph node be linked to pneumonia because usually i hear it swells in the neck? i also was using doxycycline 100 mg and septra for chlamydia. its kinda strange how pneumonia just popped up a while after my chlamydia and cleared up. i am really freaking out im going for a test today.
I had chest X-ray last week which confirmed pneumonia. I had told dr I had been coughing up blood for several days and they asked if it was streaked and I said yes. I saw a description on a web page using the description of looking like a partially scrambled egg and that is what it really looked like, not really streaked but kind of mixed. Now I have been on 500 mg Cipro for 4 of 7 days prescribed but still am coughing up same type of blood mixture.
Karla has given you some excellent advice! Many antibiotics don't work immediately or even in a day or two, but if you aren't seeing any changes after a week and a half, they clearly are ineffective against whatever it is he has. I tend to agree with Karla in that it is probably viral since it's not responding.
It showed pneumonia in the bottom of both lungs.. I took cipiro for 2 weeks...Felt better now Im coughing bad and coughing up yellow phelghm. New xrays showed nothing.Whats going on? And what kind of pneumiona lives in the bottom of the lungs?

Same here.. I was in the hospital from Jan. 17-23 Pneumonia in my Left "lobular pneumonia" here we are now on Feb 20, 2022 and my left rib cage feels like someone hit me hard there.. but my 02 is in the mid 90%.. but it really hurts to cough sneeze as you say burp.. which sucks because I am supposed to be trying to cough up remnants of the phlegm, But coughing is painful so tend to try to suppress it.. I have a Lung cancer screen CT this Tues the 22..
Two weekends ago I woke up with the usual backache associated with pneumonia. I get it twice a year, so on Monday I called my doctor and went in. I was not seen by the doctor but was given prescriptions for the pneumonia and an order to get x-rays done. On Thursday I got the call that the x-rays did not show pneumonia and to stop taking the medication. On Friday I was worse so I went to the ER. That's where they told me I dislocated my ribs from coughing due to the pneumonia.....
My baby has been diagnosed with pneumonia, a week ago. She still acts as if she is in pain, and has short rapid breaths. She is on Zeniquin, and a pain med. She was originally in an oxygen kennel for 2 days, and was pretty good when we brought her home. Now it seems like she gets these bouts of gasping for air, her gums are still pink.
I am startin to think her vets arent sure what is wrong with her.
My Friend has had Pneumonia, Empyema was in the hospital for a week while they weren't sure he'd made it through surgery then recovered, he was home for 6 weeks following the hospital stay and is back at work now. He is still experiencing severe pain during even mild exersise or any even mildly heavy breathing. He is having problems at work due to this and is the only one working in his household due to his wife's medical issues.
My fiance has pneumonia and pleurisy. The mucus has changed from yellow to frothy white or cream colored. Is this normal?
I am 38 year old female. I had pneumonia 6 months ago, which was treated with antibiotics. I got well but my cough continued. I cough (mostly dry with some mucus) throughout the day and it cough bouts are horrible at nights. I ignored the cough thinking it will fade away. Few months ago, I started experiencing breathlessness and tightness in chest alongwith coughing. My doctor said it was allergy and prescribed some medicines for lowering eosinophil count. It did not work.
Hello :) I just got diagnosed with walking pneumonia in my right lung (he said it’s pretty significant) but I don’t have any symptoms except an off and on low grade fever and I’m a little extra exhausted. No cough or anything. Is that normal???? Is there anything I should be watching out for to know if it gets worse? I started a z pack and he said call me Monday if you don’t feel better because he’d want blood work and x rays. But I hardly feel bad to know if I’m feeling better.
During the past nine months he has had numerous respiratory problems. He has has pneumonia twice and been hospitalized for a week with bronchilitis once. In addition to these, he has bee diagnosed wtih severe acid reflux and asthma. His whole life he has been congested, coughing, wheezing and sick. Got anabiotic's Amoxi-drop how long should it take to work for the coughing in on sounds she makes. Took my kitty to the vet after she ate my dogs pain pill and I had to induce vomiting under vet recommendation. Some of the fluids got in lungs and it caused walking pneumonia.
First time, the doctor noted traces of pneumonia in his chest and gave him Amox for 10 days. He was fine for another 10 days and got it back. This time, he got better only with IV antibiotics. He was ok for another 10 months with on and off colds, but this time he developed pneumonia again and had to be treated with oral antibiotics. I want to know if there is anyway to help prevent reccurence of pneumonia? Will there be any damage to his lungs because of reccurence of pneumonia?
