Avatar n tn Has anyone had any personal usage of these and if so were they effective? Are they readily available in this country?
Avatar f tn It can also be malaria which is often difficult to catch by diagnostic tests. In a country like India, often treatment is started if malaria is suspected. UTI is another common cause. Pneumonia and ear infections are probably ruled out as you have no related symptoms that you report. If nothing is caught, then it could be viral or even typhoid. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Talk to your treating doctor. Take care!

Avatar n tn Two weekends ago I woke up with the usual backache associated with pneumonia. I get it twice a year, so on Monday I called my doctor and went in. On Thursday I got the call that the x-rays did not show pneumonia and to stop taking the medication. On Friday I was worse so I went to the ER. That's where they told me I dislocated my ribs from coughing due to the pneumonia.....

Avatar m tn First time, the doctor noted traces of pneumonia in his chest and gave him Amox for 10 days. He was fine for another 10 days and got it back. This time, he got better only with IV antibiotics. He was ok for another 10 months with on and off colds, but this time he developed pneumonia again and had to be treated with oral antibiotics. Avatar m tn The cost of a radio frequency ablation in the United States can run from around $2,000in facilities that only specialise in this procedure to around $3,000 elswhere. It is my understanding that medical procedures in India can be as much as 70% less than the same treatment in the US which would make this procedure the equivalent of between $140 and $210 in India if what I have read is true. I hope this helps!
