i tested negative 5 months post exposure. i recently developed pneumonia and i read on the internet that thats an early indication of an infection? any truth? please help. i thought i was done with worrying.
This needs to be investigated immediately by a pulmonologist since it could be serious. Management would depend on the diagnosis. Take care.
Is there any other way of diagnosing Behcets syndrome other than a clinical diagnosis? Is there an objective test? My rheumatologist says it doesn't matter because the treatment plan would remain the same, Imuran, and I'm satisfied with the results of Imuran, but need I really go through life wondering and including in both my and my children's medical histories CLINICAL diagnosis of Behcets??
Hello, my daughter, age 3, had a bronchoscopy and CT scan after repeated bouts of pneumonia in the same spot, right middle lobe. This all started after a severe RSV/pneumonia hospitalization as an infant.
Her CT scan was read as "mild bronchiectasis" in the right middle lobe, same spot as her atelectasis. We know for sure that her last bout of pneumonia in march never fully cleared, b/c we did X-rays every 3 months. So she's had this atelectasis spot for quite awhile now.

I caught pneumonia at the same time I thought i was exposed. It was really bad. i am still HIV NEGATIVE.
I you are concerned about HIV then make sure you ask your doctor specifically for this test. If you don't they may not becasue of some ethical guidelines.
It has been a year now and you are still worried please go get tested and stop worrying about it.
You did put yourself at risk. next time I would get my partners tested before we take it to the next level.
But no medicine for those has been helpful and my symptoms seem extreme for those diagnosis as well. I also changed my diet for gerd guidelines and avoid all asthma triggers. Please help with any advice.

My question is are there any guidelines/protocol for stopping tx if your ALT/AST reaches 150 each even though you are UND? Mine have been consistently rising each week and today, week 25, my AST=130 and ALT=124. My Hepa Dr said we would have to stop tx if they both reach 150. I cannot find any information on this anywhere. So any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a friend with Type 1 diabetes who wants to lose 10 pounds that she has gained over the years (subsequent to her diagnosis 25 years ago). She is unable to do so, because when her insulin becomes "low" she has to drink coca-cola to quickly restore sugar into her system (she uses an insulin pump to try to stabilize her blood glucose levels). My question is, has anyone out there with Type 1 diabetes tried to lose weight, and if so, what sort of diet did they follow?
