3 weeks on doxicycline and a week on azithromyacin and I still have a fever and infection (Was diagnosed with A-typical pneumonia). I had a cyst on my back that got infected when I got pneumonia. I was on (and still am) several antibiotics and even had the cyst removed. The doctor had the cyst sent out for a culture and found out it is still infected which means more antibiotics. Is there some other way to get rid of the infection? Isn't it dangerous to have it go on this long. I have been fighting the pneumonia pretty much all summer. Although I feel better, I am still trying to get rid of the infection.
