Good morning I'm being treated for pneumonia just started antibiotics last nite feeling a lol worse off but my question is walking pneumonia contagious......it's funny but ct images showed fluid on right lung and I have side pain ouchee! But now more symptoms are appearing.
i had the same thing back in june.. they thought i had pneumonia..ibut didnt..but it isnt contagious..the cough is part of the bron..

I was diagnosed with pneumonia today and I've been getting radiation for my left breast for cancer for the last three weeks. First, did the radiation weaken my lungs to make me getting pneumonia easier? sounds like a bad chest or lung infection.. if you had pneumonia?? you would have high fever also and would be a very sick person.. its very dangerous.. GO to doctors either way for an antibiotic..

It's not dangerous but it is very very contagious...so be careful....the best way to cure it is with fungal medicine and not to pick at it because it will only get worse....I would stay clear from her until she gets it cured...
There is also an incubation period if you had viral pneumonia (the kind you catch). Bacterial pneumonia (the more dangerous one) you get as an infection after being sick before hand with a virus like a cold. It's a secondary infection to that.

I don't recall having pneumonia or whooping cough before. my brother had bronchopneumonia when he was 3 years. but he seems to be in perfect health, in fact his xray result last year was clear. I really worried that his might affect my pre employment. I already signed my probationary contract but unfavorable medical results may be grounds for them to revoke my contract.
My 20 y.o..son has been dx with this. He has had several freezing treatments to remove them. He has seen a decrease in the formation of the bumps, but i am worried that he will have another "flare up" when he returns to college. he was very run down during the last semester (he had pneumonia) and i wonder how much that had to do with him getting this disease.

It is good that you opted to see a doctor, as untreated pneumonia can be quite dangerous. Doing this early phase of treatment and resolution of the pneumonia it would be best if you could avoid breathing in cold air, dusty air or otherwise polluted air as could be the case were you to return to work too soon. I understand the misery of lost wages but if you don’t do everything you can to clear the pneumonia now, you could wind up losing even more working days.
yes being always cold is the real indication to have a chronic infection. Yes it is passed from person to person as it is contagious. The pneumonia I have is NOT through a tick bite. Mycoplasma can be transmitted by insects but also not necessarily.
