Avatar f tn Why do you worry about pneumonia? I mean, you should have had some other symptoms, like fever. I would just try to get a massage or try some yoga poses for back pain, if it doesn't work then I would take Tylenol, and if it still doesn't work then go to doctor. But try not to worry too much ok?
Avatar n tn I've read that the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus causes a lot of body aches and pains, but if it's only in your chest, I'd be willing to bet it's pneumonia. Pneumonia always hurts deep inside.
Avatar m tn I don't know if this is kidney infection. I had this when I was young, and I was hospitalized. Is your daughter in the hospital? If so, doctors shoud be able to determine this.
Avatar f tn I am concerned for you that you either may have bronchitis or even pneumonia. I know back pain is a very common symptom of pneumonia. But if you're coughing a lot it is possible it's just your muscles that are sore. What I would do if I were you is look up the symptoms of pneumonia. Then at least you know what to watch for....hope you get better soon!!
Avatar n tn iam just geting over pneumonia and i have started getting joint pain.
Avatar n tn But as the pneumonia subsides this should resolve. Ensure to complete your antibiotic course and for the pain you can take OTC Acetaminophen. Take Care. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Avatar n tn I just got back from my family doctor. She showed me what the ER sent them via fax. The ER doctor stated that the x-rays were inconclusive for pneumonia and nothing else was found. Then I showed her the papers I received from the ER doctor stating I had "Musculo-Skeletal pain" and showed her the two prescriptions the ER doctor prescribed to me. She ordered another set of x-rays.

Avatar f tn Hello Jewel, A tardy Welcome to our Pain Management Forum. I am sorry to hear about your MVA and injuries. If you are coughing again I hope you will visit your PCP soon. Your pneumonia may not have resolved. It's especially important to breath deeply through the pain to avoid a recurrence. Please consult your PCP and let us know how it goes.

1723623 tn?1309547316 What does it mean if my upper back hurts and its difficult to breath? and what can I do about it?
Avatar m tn I know this was a long time ago, but I found your post when searching for "unexplained back pain after pneumonia". What was your resolution? Your description sounds exactly like mine, except that my pain is constant. No change with movement, deep breaths, or activity. I am desperate for an answer. I'm wondering if chest x-ray might have missed pleurisy or pleural effusion. The tech only took 2 x-rays, one with me facing machine, and one at my side.
Avatar m tn You have good reasons to be concerned about your sister and her multiple health problems. Pain associated with her pneumonia should have eased as her pneumonia resolved. Pain at this time is not normal. The recurrence of cough and pain along with the abnormal X-ray findings of “scarring” and “a hole” in her lung suggest otherwise; that is to say that hers is what we would call complicated pneumonia. You ask, if she needs to be admitted to a hospital.
Avatar f tn You may have pneumonia. Is the pain in one lung? You would need to get an xray of your lungs to check for it or you may have bronchitis. Go to your doctor because medications are needed for pneumonia. Most doctors give meds for bronchitis too, but it is not needed.
Avatar n tn d made it through surgery then recovered, he was home for 6 weeks following the hospital stay and is back at work now. He is still experiencing severe pain during even mild exersise or any even mildly heavy breathing. He is having problems at work due to this and is the only one working in his household due to his wife's medical issues.
Avatar f tn I went to our local urgent care center this past Friday because of strange chest pain and upper back pain that “just didn’t feel normal”. I’ve been diagnosed with lobar pneumonia and was put on antibiotics. It’s been two days (5 doses of antibiotics, so far) and nothing has changed! There is still no congestion, no coughing (I’ve even had 5 doses of Musinex)...just fatigue and shortness of breath. The pain is on and off....I feel crazy!!! HELP?!? (No, I’ve not been sick...
Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. Post infection, there could be some amount of bronchospasm and this could be causing the problems with breathing. This can be detected by a spirometry test. Have yourself evaluated for the same. In the meantime try to take warm oral fluids and do steam inhalations prior to your meals. This helps to loosen up and bring out the secretions. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
11294269 tn?1422402907 I woke up in the middle of the night with strong back pain on my keft side. The last time i had this it was a kidney infection (a uti that went undetected). It feels exactly the same. I hate to go to urgent care or the hospital but Im scared that the infection is dangerous for baby if it goes untreated for 2 more days. What should i do?
1100598 tn?1413127426 Ever since then, I have had chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting spells, weakness, back pain, a worseneing cough, low grade fever, chills, rash on my belly or chest, and nausea. The swollen lymph nodes have also returned. My doctor says I have bronchitis/walking pneumonia and put me on doxycycline on tuesday, but I am not feeling any better. I only have one day of antibiotics left.
Avatar n tn Early December I started coughing more and started having pain in my right lung when I took a deep breath. Sometimes the pain is felt in my mid back area and on my right side in the ribs. The DR. took an x ray which showed a bronchectic infection in my right lung. I was put on 14 days of antibodics which took away the cough and green phlem that I always have. I have been off the antibodics for a week now and I still have the pain, my cough is coming back, but thats expected.
