i am 37 years old female and i am hypertensive since long time ago (more than 15 years) -familial -my BP is not very well controlled during these years but this last year i am trying to control it as my BP spikes all of sudden even though i take medicine to treat it, last of which was today i am on plendil for the last 10 days and actually my Bp was controlled and it reached optimal results, all of sudden my HR at rest reached >180 and my BP was 170/110 i was sent to the ER and i was given

This is the first bp med that worked a bit for me, as the calcium channel blockers (norvasc and plendil which caused vomiting) gave me suicidal (that's what they called them) cluster headaches and elevated my bp to 250/135. I'm scared that if i missed the night dose i might have a stroke (i read that on one of the boards if u suddenly stop taking bp meds you could have a stroke).

My Ambien tapering plan has been: alternate days: 10 to 7.5 first 2 weeks, and then 7.5 to 1/2 3rd week (which I'm finishing up right now) next week will be 1/2 all week, and then 1/2 every other day. And then I get to stop and not sleep for a few days! I'll live... I've been on light BP meds for a few years. My Doc added 1mg Clonidine at bedtime, and then reduced and switched my regular BP med (Plendil) to the morning. I think the Clonidine has helped me.

I know 12/13 weeks will be conclusive but is there any point in waiting until the 8 week mark to get an indication? I keep seeing the Experts and others say testing 6-8 weeks will give you a very good indication of your status. Can I take a 6 week result and ease my mind or will an 8 week test give me a much better indication. Thanks.

All the reports are fine, my WBC, hamoglobin and whatever it may be. I understand this test wont tell about the infection, but can it give any indication.
