In my opinion, this is probably one of the worst side effects of SSRIs. After a taper off of these medications with the doctor's approval, you will see a marked improvement as the dosage goes down, in my experience. Sorry to be so ambiguous, but these medications effect people in different ways, but it does get much better:)....keep us posted!

I been on Bystolic for sometime now/ I didn't realize there were side effects to this pill? I have some of those side effects you are talking about. I'm not sure which pill I take might be cause of it. I have the wakefulness at night and I take Bystolic in the mornings. Ihave dizziness and not sure if it's this pill because I have had dizziness before? I have up n down or highs and lows with my blood pressure.

I think u may not be able to sleep cos ur bp is too high and thats quite dangerous, usually i cant get any sleep if my bp rises above 150/90. Side effects of atenolol for me are slow pulse, weak erection, weakness and tiredness, confusion, difficulty taking quick decisions.

that is the point of starting on the low dose....so if there are any side effects, they will hopefully be minimal and you can increase as needed to find the perfect dose for you.

How much hydro, and did you have a ultrasound to confirm the swelling? Usually one takes just enough to replace what the body needs and side effects are from taking too much - and those side effects are Cushing's like effects and frankly, swelling ovaries are not one that I have heard. The abdomen in general getting better though, will happen if you are taking too much or at the wrong time(s).

Just remember that there might be some side effects from dosage adjustments, but you will be fine and the body does a good job adjusting.

I always like to learn as much as possible about my medications as well. They say not to because you may worry about side effects that may occur but I do it anyway and give the meds a chance before I worry about that. Has anyone had experience with side effects from metoprolol after using awhile? I've been on a minimal dose (25 mgs bid) for over 6 months now. I didn't seem to have any side effects to speak of until recently. I do also have positional vertigo. Not only has this gotten worse as of late but I have become unsteady on my feet and dizzy quite often. I had to get a ct scan for tumor in my neck and it was just horrible!

norvasc 2.5mg, plendil 25mg and aldactone 12.5mg - and all gave me the exact same type of headache I have gotten these past 2 times, only i had vomiting with the bp meds - the headaches came on 1-2 hrs after taking it and elevated my bp to 250/135 (my normal since I was diagnosed with hypertension has been about 150's/100's - with these headaches of late it has jumped to 170's-180's. It is so frightening. I will try atenolol next week at a very minute dosage.

Tingling of mouth and tongue, dry tongue but watering mouth, runny nose and a feeling as though my throat was closing, weakness of legs and weird breathing - breathing was really slow. This morning my tongue is still tingly and my throat is swollen. This was so scarey and my pdoc had told me that after a couple of weeks on 2.5mg I would be increased to 5mg. I don't think I will be taking them again.

I just started on Zohydro ER because the idea of not taking acetaminophen with hydrocodone was tempting. (There's a Black Box warning about the acetaminophen in Vicodin). The first day I started the Z. (about 5 days ago) I got less pain relief and much more pain than I had with 5/375 Vicodin! That's seems totally wrong but it happened. Deplin seems to be an anti-depressant booster, and Abilify could cause the twitching. It does take a while for it to get out of the system. If after a month off the drugs, and the twitching is still there, you migh want to consult with a psychiatrist.
