Common Questions and Answers about Plendil er 2.5mg side effects

plendil

Avatar n tn In my opinion, this is probably one of the worst side effects of SSRIs. After a taper off of these medications with the doctor's approval, you will see a marked improvement as the dosage goes down, in my experience. Sorry to be so ambiguous, but these medications effect people in different ways, but it does get much better:)....keep us posted!
Avatar f tn I been on Bystolic for sometime now/ I didn't realize there were side effects to this pill? I have some of those side effects you are talking about. I'm not sure which pill I take might be cause of it. I have the wakefulness at night and I take Bystolic in the mornings. Ihave dizziness and not sure if it's this pill because I have had dizziness before? I have up n down or highs and lows with my blood pressure.
Avatar f tn I think u may not be able to sleep cos ur bp is too high and thats quite dangerous, usually i cant get any sleep if my bp rises above 150/90. Side effects of atenolol for me are slow pulse, weak erection, weakness and tiredness, confusion, difficulty taking quick decisions.
Avatar f tn that is the point of starting on the low dose....so if there are any side effects, they will hopefully be minimal and you can increase as needed to find the perfect dose for you.
1073317 tn?1269012953 How much hydro, and did you have a ultrasound to confirm the swelling? Usually one takes just enough to replace what the body needs and side effects are from taking too much - and those side effects are Cushing's like effects and frankly, swelling ovaries are not one that I have heard. The abdomen in general getting better though, will happen if you are taking too much or at the wrong time(s).

Avatar n tn I always like to learn as much as possible about my medications as well. They say not to because you may worry about side effects that may occur but I do it anyway and give the meds a chance before I worry about that. Unfortunately I have no knowledge about the medicine you are talking about but there are a lot of forums on Medhelp to include anxiety as well some that may pertain to the reason you have to take the norvasc.
Avatar f tn Hello! yes a lot of us have used it on here, and its worked! i never used clomid though - they did my lap and i was covered in endo : ( ... so femara is particularly good for endo patients.. i produced one or two follicles each time (but i was on the low dose - 2.
Avatar f tn I know some people have said there are no side effects from Cortef and that it's probably my dose is too low, but I now have at least 10 of the side effects listed on the prescription information website. These also all start within minutes of taking a dose (I'm currently taking 25mg). I get headaches, become extremely thirsty, heart pounding, very dizzy and weak, feel like I'm going to pass out.
Avatar f tn Hello, I was seen in the ER today for a migraine and they gave me a mixture of compazine, benadryl, toradol and a steroid through an IV. I was wondering what possible side effects I may encounter.
1464004 tn?1384135733 Has anyone had experience with side effects from metoprolol after using awhile? I've been on a minimal dose (25 mgs bid) for over 6 months now. I didn't seem to have any side effects to speak of until recently. I do also have positional vertigo. Not only has this gotten worse as of late but I have become unsteady on my feet and dizzy quite often. I had to get a ct scan for tumor in my neck and it was just horrible!
Avatar n tn Getting ready to start Lexapro and I want to know the side effects you have experienced? I have been on Wellbutrion and Cymbalta and both were not for me. Made my anxiety worse. I lost weight on both but wanted to know the weight issue with Lexapro since there seems to be one. Thanks for the help.
Avatar f tn norvasc 2.5mg, plendil 25mg and aldactone 12.5mg - and all gave me the exact same type of headache I have gotten these past 2 times, only i had vomiting with the bp meds - the headaches came on 1-2 hrs after taking it and elevated my bp to 250/135 (my normal since I was diagnosed with hypertension has been about 150's/100's - with these headaches of late it has jumped to 170's-180's. It is so frightening. I will try atenolol next week at a very minute dosage.
Avatar f tn Tingling of mouth and tongue, dry tongue but watering mouth, runny nose and a feeling as though my throat was closing, weakness of legs and weird breathing - breathing was really slow. This morning my tongue is still tingly and my throat is swollen. This was so scarey and my pdoc had told me that after a couple of weeks on 2.5mg I would be increased to 5mg. I don't think I will be taking them again.
Avatar n tn I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to respond based on my experience with the drug.
Avatar f tn I just started on Zohydro ER because the idea of not taking acetaminophen with hydrocodone was tempting. (There's a Black Box warning about the acetaminophen in Vicodin). The first day I started the Z. (about 5 days ago) I got less pain relief and much more pain than I had with 5/375 Vicodin! That's seems totally wrong but it happened. The dose of the Z is the same as I got for the number of 5/375s I took per day. Anyone else on Z. and how do you like it? Any side effects?
Avatar f tn Deplin seems to be an anti-depressant booster, and Abilify could cause the twitching. It does take a while for it to get out of the system. If after a month off the drugs, and the twitching is still there, you migh want to consult with a psychiatrist.
Avatar f tn Weird skin sensation now like tingling and also some shaking. Maybe the shaking from anxiety? Just afraid of contrast side effects. Any side effects from MRI dye that warrant a ER trip?
Avatar n tn ve been on metoprolol before, and had some awful side effects with that one, but the bystolic seems to tame those down quite a bit for me. I've only had two instances in which I could tell I was experiencing some slight side effects (dizziness, slight shortness of breath, pressure). I've also been told by my GP that, if I find myself with a rapid heart rate or back in A-fib, I can take another 2.5mg dose right then, since it's such a small dosage.
Avatar f tn re at a starting dose, and it will be weeks before beneficial effects kick in, but side effects start right away. If this med isn't for you, again, it doesn't mean none are. But also again, you might not need medication at all depending on how much your problems are impeding your life.
Avatar n tn t working or appears to only work minimally, the dosage should be increased, depending upon the side-effects the patient may be experiencing. If Topamax isn't working, other medications should be tested--such as beta-blockers. Migraines do not respond to conventional headache treatment or medications, such as tylenol or aspirin--this is likely why you weren't feeling any relief from the NSAIDs you were taking (ibuprofen, Naproxen, etc.).
Avatar m tn t stop taking your lamotrigine unless you talk to the pdoc first, just saying these are listed side effects. Lamotrigine is a really good drug for bipolar and side effects usually wane after a few months. Since you were only on Ziprexa for 4 months, chances are really minimal that any permanent damage was done. If you are not having movement related issues - smacking lips, drooling, etc. it shouldn't be anything permanent.
