t tolerate the increased anxiety from the SSRIs that I tried last year(which is pretty much everyone that you could think of) I ended up in the ER with a huge panic attack and racing heart from prozac which I tolerated well 6 years ago. The psyc that I talked to there said often people are sensitive to anxiety meds and theat she has even started people out at 2.5mg of celexa and worked them up. My old pysc wrote me the RX for celexa in January and I never got brave enough to try it.

norvasc 2.5mg, plendil 25mg and aldactone 12.5mg - and all gave me the exact same type of headache I have gotten these past 2 times, only i had vomiting with the bp meds - the headaches came on 1-2 hrs after taking it and elevated my bp to 250/135 (my normal since I was diagnosed with hypertension has been about 150's/100's - with these headaches of late it has jumped to 170's-180's. It is so frightening. I will try atenolol next week at a very minute dosage.
I have been on metoprolol 25mg for two 1/2 years. Then my doctor put me on metoprolol er 50mg. I have been having shortness of breath and minor chest discomfort; i'm only 45 years old and i want off of this medication totally. Has anyone ever wean themselves off of this medication with no problems? If so, how did you do it? Any advise is helpful to me. Thank you.
i am 37 years old female and i am hypertensive since long time ago (more than 15 years) -familial -my BP is not very well controlled during these years but this last year i am trying to control it as my BP spikes all of sudden even though i take medicine to treat it, last of which was today i am on plendil for the last 10 days and actually my Bp was controlled and it reached optimal results, all of sudden my HR at rest reached >180 and my BP was 170/110 i was sent to the ER and i was given
40pm. With 1.25mg at 9:30am and 1.25mg at 3pm. I feel like HIV would have been dead, by the time I was tattooed, and curious to know if Biotin would have affected my results, and need to get retested. Thx again.
In follow up to my last post - The doctor lowered my dose to 2.5mg because of my extreme exhaustion - In taking the first 2.5mg dose this morning my chest is hurting... Drug company states shouldn't be a side effect - I have a call into my doctor just in case.
I'm not short of breath.. just tired and my chest is on and off achy. My BP is normal along with my pulse.

ve been put on klor-con 10meq(3 a day), Warafarin 2.5mg(1x a day), bystolic 2.5mg(1x a day), xanax .25mg(1every 6 hrs). My symptoms started about 5 hours before my afib. first symptom was a sudden numbness in my upper body with disorientation that lasted 20 minutes and then I felt tired. 6hrs later afib triggered when quickly rolling over on my back in bed. During afib I had paralysis in my arms and my face around the mouth, jaw and throat. I was defibbed then sent home.
I decided to give it up in February 2012 going off slowely with 2.5mg for a month. I am now in July and I am in terrible trouble, very strong beating of my chest, yes all the taste problems and just not a happy person, in fact my personality has compeletly changed. I am scared. Maybe I should have taken valium 2.5mg for a few months instead of just 6/7 weeks.
cataract surgery on 4/1/2014. He is 6 years old, weighs 8 lbs. The surgeon put him on Prednisone orally 2.5mg every day, but the pants started on 4/12/2014, so I took him to the ER, that is when they told me this was a common side effect of Prednisone. On 4/14/2014 I took him to our regular Vet and we have started the Prednisone taper, which I am comfortable with. My question is: He seems so uncomfortable, is there anything that I can do to make him breathe better or feel better?

Depending on why you need this information, you're actually lucky. Xanax has a notorious short half life. There are many meds out there that have half lives of days, even weeks!
Has anyone given birth to healthy baby while taking 2.5mg of methadone a day? I have weaned myself from 20mg down to 10 mg to 5mg and now 2.5 mg over the last three months (when I started taking it to combat w/d from abusing percocet). So far I feel no discomfort. I'd appreciate any advice as I have no one to talk to about this. I'm just very scared for my baby.
I have GAD. This morning I took 2.5mg. of valium and waited an hour and nothing. So, I took the other 2.5 mg. 2 hours later, whoa..... quite sedated! I have to be someplace this evening so I'm hoping that the effects will ease up just a bit.
Is this normal? I guess I should have waited longer on the 2.5mg. but from all I've read, it takes anywhere from 20 min. to one hour to get full effect and when I felt nothing after an hour, I took the other half.

Hello, I have a 6 year old daughter that was born with hydronephrosis in her left kidney and grade 2 reflux in her right kidney. Some time between birth and 1 year old her left kidney dissolved and by age 3 her reflux had went completly away.
Do my own gardening. Rest and pace my self. On Hctz 25mg, atenotol 50mg and plendil 2.5 mg daily. Borderline diabetic. Wt 160# 5' 6" In fairly good health otherwise despite my age of 77.
Nerve irritation somewhere? Other causes beside low sodium, calcium and potassium? What other workups do you suggest?
I am in need of some advice or support while I attempt to go off 2.5mg of Lexapro. The first time I came off from 5mg and did a gradual decrease down to 2.5mg and stopped. I experienced withdrawals even from this small dose, dizziness, brain zaps etc. After 2 weeks I decided to go back on and experienced horrendous anxiety for nearly 2 months until the medication stabilized.
The second time I decreased very gradually until I was nearly taking the equivalent of 0.
