Avatar m tn Truly, there are no doctors on this site. The fact you didn't pass out means it was probably not heat stroke, as you'd have likely ended up in the hospital when some passerby found you lying face down. The continued feeling of skipped beats could be skipped beats or just feeling like you're having skipped beats. But only a doctor's exam will tell you if something happened.
Avatar m tn s actually someone like a real stroke but heat stroke or heat exhaustion affects the brain in a different way and the ongoing symptoms are related to the body's reaction to heat or sun. Not everyone experiences ongoing sensitivity, and yours may ease off. But in my case, it was permanent. I remember those two incidents very well to this day, man I was sick (unbelievable). So in a way I am not surprised.
Avatar f tn Live in Florida as well. I just drink ice water all the time when I'm outside and try to stay in the shade.
Avatar f tn As a coach I have to be extremely careful with my players after any bout with the heat. They are more likely to experience another incident and the next time it is usually worse and takes even longer to recover from.
Avatar f tn Dehydration can cause nausea and lead to a vicious cycle where the dehydration and heat do lead to heat exhaustion because the nausea prevents the intake of fluids which just adds to the dehydration and leads to the body getting hotter and hotter.
Avatar f tn Im an 18 year old male who has over-masturbated. For approximately the last 3 years, I have masturbated 2-3 times daily while looking at porn during every "session". I now have extremely weak erections and have a hard time maintaining what I do get up. I feel as though my flaccid penis size has decreased as well. I have a sore ache at the bottom base of my penis when tightening the musle located there. I also have urinary problems.
Avatar f tn s triggered by the heat. Have you been drinking LOTS of water and/or Gatorade? The spots in your vision could be pre-syncope symptoms. On the other hand, it could be a migraine with aura that is triggered by the stress of the heat. Either way, I'd recommend that you drink LOTS of water, or better yet, Gatorade to replace what your body's sweating out.
927213 tn?1270011366 I hope your dog is ok. If it was caused by the heat, after resting in a cool place, and drinking water, she should be ok. But it is best to get her checked.
Avatar m tn I was walking in the sun for about two hours the weather was very hot it was 45 c i think, suddenly i felt like my heart is racing so fast with PVCs or skipped beats and i was sweating and very fatigued i went to a cool place where i drunk lots of fluids and it all went back to normal(but PVCs lasted for a week then it went away), was it Afib or just heat exhaustion? i want to a cardiologist and he said my heart muscle is fine, i run every day for 6 km, should i be concerned?
Avatar f tn My outer body gets way too hot and I can feel the heat myself and am too hot even in winter and it keeps me awake and i'm even hot with the radiator off, no pajamas, window open and the thinnest feather quilt (feathers cooler then synthetic) and my hands and feet are roasting but the only part of me that can sweat is my chest, back, armpits and hands. Other people feel the heat coming off me and my dad worries about it.
4268628 tn?1375041176 I used to have similar problems with my brothers girlfriend. She was so good at manipulating every one in our family, always the innocent one. Thankfully he saw the light a she isn't around anymore.
1032715 tn?1315984234 I had counselling today,I thought I'd dealt with most things that would upset me, apparently not.I don't blame myself for the abuse anymore,I don't feel guilty and I'm moving on with my life.
Avatar m tn The sleep deprivation and sleeping in the car in the heat was certainly not healthy. It is likely that you experienced some degree of heat exhaustion if you were sleeping for such long hours in direct sunlight. Also it is concerning that you did not have ventilation in the car when you were sleeping. It is quite possible that you had been inspiring air poor in oxygen and have had a buildup of carbondioxide in the blood.
Avatar f tn Your are probably fine as long as it isn't causing you temperature to go over 100.4 and stay there for an extended period of time.make sure you are staying very well hydrated so you don't get heat exhaustion.
Avatar m tn I drink a lot of water but when I go for a walk I get heat exhaustion dry mouth pell wight skin need to sit-down fast but I don't walk that much the wether her is 85 and I'm only 27 no I don't take any meds drugs or alcohol Is it heat exhaustion
Avatar f tn For some reason this only happens in the sun and sometimes the heat. Just while walking from the car it happens. Feeling like passing out, dizzy, throwing up and the excessive sweating for about 5-10 minutes. After the 5-10 minutes it goes away. Has happened several times now.
Avatar f tn t helping as much as it should try drinking a gatorade, sometimes gatorade is actually better for you in the heat than the water bc of the electrolytes in it. but glad you are doing better!
Avatar f tn It could be a number of things...wonky hormones, low blood sugar, heat exhaustion...if it recurs you may want to talk to your health care provider.
572651 tn?1530999357 Well, I am not in relapse but starting at the beginning of summer I noticed that every few days if I stay outside too long, don't get enough sleep, and/or just get overstressed, I get mild tingling in my back and right foot. I think the biggest factor actually is the heat since the stress and lack of sleep is always a battle which doesn't usually have tingling consequences unless it's to an extreme. The heat knocks me over the edge.
Avatar m tn i was walking in the sun for probably 3 hours it was very hot 46 c this day, suddenly i felt my heart is racing and beating so fast with 3 ectopic beats in very few second, i stopped and put my hand on my heart it was beating too fast and strong, i cooled myself down and drank some fluids it all went back to normal(but the ectopic beats lasted for a week), went to a cardiologist he said i'm fine and it's just heat exhaustion, is it AFib or just palpitations with heat exhaustion?
Avatar m tn I ask because 2 days lost, just to recover from heat exhaustion seems a bit longer if the heart was perfect. My heart is very damaged and normally I recover in a couple of hours, but of course we all are different.
Avatar f tn I had heat exhaustion yesterday. I had all the classic symptons. What are the after effects of heat exhausttion? Thank you.
Avatar f tn Hi about 20 years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, I was also told at that time by an infectious disease doctor that I had EBV. I feel there is something else wrong with me because if I do what the doctors say then I'm in so much pain I can't move, I've had catatonic states, I can not control my body temperature if I get to cold it's like I have hypothermia, and if I get to hot it's like heat exhaustion.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your post. I use a PC here at home. I like how the former doctor on the mental health expert forum chose to run his forum. I think that experts need to do what works best for them though. Some choose to reply to posts only once while others will reply several times. Some have a daily quota of posts while others don't. Some like members to participate on their forum while others don't. It's very unique to each expert.
