Pinky and index finger up

Common Questions and Answers about Pinky and index finger up

finger

About a week ago I wrote in with symptoms of shaking pinky and ring fingers in left hand, trembling chin and rls signs in left foot. These symptoms seem to have improved slightly although my ring, pinky and middle fingers in left hand still tremor when held out in front of me. I am 29 years old and 7 months pregnant. Now I am experiencing something completely different.
So my husband came to pick her up and take her to the doctor, and they said she fractured her pinky on her right hand. So now she has a splint on her pinky. Her pinky is dis-located to so she has to keep her splint on for two months.
my right hand middle finger is shorter then my index and my knuckles appear to be not there on my right ring finger and index. on my left hand my rig finger and pinkie also show no knuckles. I want surgery really bad or just somewaay to fix this abnorality.
Okay, this is weird. I have a twitchy left pinky. Yes, the left one. The side where I have all the "fun". It's not "jumping" so you would notice it from afar but it feels as if it's jumping "inside" and if you focus on the pinky, you can see an almost imperceptible twitch. (I've given myself a headache staring at my pinky so long. LOL) The weird part is the "jumping" feeling is making me feel a little nauseated. WTH?
so i have my index finger broken and have had 3 pins placed inside to keep straight????? and if i do the surgery there is no guarentee i will get full mobility back??? can anyone answer this question for me or is it too early to tell yet!! im in law enforcement and this happens to be my trigger finger in question! right now my finger is completly stiff straight ! i got about 20 percent movement in the middle but no movement at all in the lower bend!!
There is little to no numbness. The ring finger is the same as well. But my middle finger, index finger and thumb are definitely numb and slightly swollen. My index finger, though, is the only finger experiencing some pain along with the numbness and swelling. Things to note: I did not bang my elbow on anything.
I got very sick in early June 2007 and then got a numb pinky finger and L'Hermittes sign within a few weeks. I had an MRI in late July, which found 4 spinal lesions (mild enhancement). I had a brain MRI in October, which found "several periventricular white matter T-2 weighted hyperintensities with a callosal lesion seen." None of the lesions were enhancing. I also had a lumbar puncture, which found oligoclonal bands (number not noted), an IGG Index of 1.
It is unlikely to be carpal tunnel syndrome as that occurs due to median nerve compression and affects the thumb and index and middle finger. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
It started with my index finger having spasms, and then moved to in between my middle finger and pointer finger knuckle. It now is deblilitating my pinkie and ring finger and causing some minor pain in the outside part of my wrist. With my hand straight out I cannot I cannot put my pinkie or ring finger together and I cannot get my ring finger together with my middle finger. Any thoughts? I have attached a pic of how close I can get my fingers together. I am 32 and relatively healthy.
The bumps originated on my left ring finger and it has now spread to my left middle, ring, and pinky finger, and also my right ring and middle fingers. My husband is constantly yelling at me for scratching but my hands just itch like crazy...not to mention the fact that I can't wear my rings due to all of the swelling. If the current medication I was prescribed doesn't help, my next step is a dermatologist. If you happen to get an answer first, please pass some info on to me.
It began on my left thumb, then right pinky. Then right middle finger, right index finger, left middle finger, left index finger, and finally left pinky. The only 2 fingers unaffected are my ring fingers. I have seen a multitude of dermatologists and have tried steroid creams. Nothing seems to help. I have not met anyone else that has this condition and many doctors look at my fingers like they have never seen anything like it before.
Anyway, for the last few weeks I have been having a lot of tingling and some slight numbness in my left ring finger, pinky finger and that side of my hand. I have those symptoms in my left more often than the right, but I do get them in both. I also need to add that I have symptoms of carpal tunnel in my right hand too but not severe enough to take time off work and school to have the surgery.
When I stood up I felt as if my hand (pinky and index finger) were asleep. This has not passed since and has even worsened. I have been to a chiropracter 5 times with no success. What could be the problem?
my mom has had visible hard lump growing on her pinky finger the past month. it is about 1cm long and protrudes from the inner portion of her pinky slightly above the main joint where the finger bents (not the joint by the nail). it is painless and i went online and searched and searched and i'm pretty sure it is a giant-cell tumor, which is supposed to be benign. my question is, do you think she should get it removed or just let it be.
If I try to make a fist, my ring finger will not bend to the palm, my pinky finger does not bend. Pinky finger isn't injured. The middle finger (not injured either) will bend but the joint closest to the nail will not curl under. Thumb and Index are fine. I was wondering if there is an injury to one finger can it affect the other fingers beside it?
Sometimes this twitching will cause invol. movement of pinky or index finger and is pronounced on side of hand near pinky. Feelings of Awkwardness: Especially in my arms and hands and even more in my pinkies and finger next to it. It feels a little awkward when I write, etc. and that I don't have as much control over them Buzziness/Vibration: I have had these feelings, especially in my left arm and both legs.
) I am not dx but, yes, I have single finger tremor's - my left ring finger, pinky and thumb and one on my right hand (I don't know which one.) The tremor's are worse in the hand/arm that I have tremor's in. These are new.

Some days my first 3 fingers on that hand swell and become very hot, my index finger and ring finger are now showing the exact same signs that my middle finger started with. They're following the same path. On days when I use my hand a lot, sometimes those fingers get extremely cold to the touch and my nails have turned blue before,...but most of the time when they flare up they become hot to the touch. I've never had an injuries or psoriasis (I don't think it's psoriatic arthritis).
But now for the last 2 and half months I have developed hand tremors in both hands. The worst part is that it has affected my left hand more and my pinky and ring finger have really fast shakes. My middle finger twitches sometimes and so does my thumb. I get these finger tremors, jerks in my right hand and fingers too but a lot less then in my left hand and fingers. They do come and go, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter.
On the other hand, the median nerve supplies the thumb, index, and middle finger. I would recommend seeing a neurologist and maybe getting some studies such as an EMG (electromyogram) to look at the integrity of your nerves and see which one or ones are actually the problem. The problem could be at your wrist, elbow, or a pinched nerve in your neck. But I do understand that doctors and tests can be very expensive especially if you don't have insurance.
i have suffered from a similar condition. problem started with what looked like tiny blisters on my thumb and index finger (left hand). this has progressed to wrinkly look on thumb and first three fingers (left hand). apart from the fact it looks at bit funny it hadnt caused me any problems until two weeks ago when i started to lose sensitivity in those finger tips. spoke to my dermatologist when i was in gettin my moles checked and he tried to tell me i had excema. not likely!
a few days ago my left pinky finger started hurting with absolutely no injury and has rogressivly gotten worse, swelling and hurting when the nail is easily touched. my fingertip seems dry and slightly scabby, i can barely feel anything when lightly touched, yet extreme pain after pushing with slight pressure. i also have the red dot under the skin and the pain seems to radiate around the nail part of the outside corner.
The numbness is also in my thumb, index finger and middle finger. not the ring or pinky yet. I want have Insurance till January so cant see a Doctor till then.. This is starting to scare me.. Could you tell me a few possiblies of what might be causing this. Thank You This discussion is related to Ongoing pain and numbness in left hand and arm.
sharp pain right elbow, burning in left thigh. Pinky toe on left foot suddenly red and hot; other 4 normal. Index finger of right hand frequently freezing cold, yet other 4 normal. Trouble with dexterity in right hand; hurts. Teeth chatter, then stop on and off daily. Hard time focusing on words while reading; page looks funny (like coming inside on a bright day and trying to focus immediately). Exhausted.
However, recently, I have developed considerably greater tremors, particularly in the thumb and index finger of my right hand and even more so in the thumb, pinky, and index finger of my left hand. Usually at rest nothing twitches, but under contraction or when trying to execute a movement or task, the twitching/tremors often become extreme. I also feel tight and maybe tingly on the top of my forearms and a sort of almost bony ache in the fingers of each hand. Anyway have ideas?
Today my pinky fingers on both hands are what's really noticable unless i'm typing then my right hand index finger jerks. My tremors would be probably faster than 4hz if i understand what that means. I've used frequency generators before and watched a speaker move at different frequencies so i'd say my tremor is between 10-20 hz. I think i need to seek another opinion because i feel really bad all over most of the time but on some days i feel much stronger and don't jerk hardly at all.
