Pink discharge with yeast infection

Common Questions and Answers about Pink discharge with yeast infection

discharge

Avatar n tn I've had an infection a few times, and i can't remember pink discharge when using a cream. I don't think it's normal to get a pink discharge. Unless the cream is pink, it seems you're bleeding a bit. Best call your doctor about it to make sure it's ok to keep using this cream. It can be an overly sensitive reaction to the cream, or the infection might be so bad your skin is damaged or something alike (don't stop using the cream unless doc says so tho).
Avatar n tn Has anyone had a yeast infection before? I'm 35 weeks and I'm dealing with a yeast infection right now. I'm treating it with a cream that my doctor prescribed me, but I've been getting a pink discharge after I wipe myself, well everytime I put on the cream. Can it be the cream that's causing the pink discharge? Im so lost this is my first pregnancy and this is the first time that I've gotten a yeast infection.
Avatar n tn Hello Doctor, I had yeast infection vaginal. I was treated with candid V6 tablets. for 1st three days, the dissolved tablets are seen in the discharge. Then it got developed to pink and later dark pink.
Avatar f tn Hi there and welcome. Do you see a doctor for annual pelvic exams? Especially important if your medical issues/medications cause you not to have a period. Also, I'd be really open with your doctor about whether or not you also don't ovulate because the pull out method is not reliable birth control. Pink discharge means your vaginal walls or cervix may be irritated. Pink is a mix of the discharge and new blood.
Avatar f tn But here lately i have been having strange cottage cheese like discharge. Could it be yeast infection? And if so, Will it hurt my baby? How do i get rid of it?
Avatar f tn i have had a pink discharge for two weeks. i thought it was a yeast infection from taking amoxicillin. i had unprotected sex before the discharge. i took monistat 3 day kit and its day 5. no pain or itching.

Avatar n tn Pink discharge after treating yeast infection for a postmenopausal woman? Is this normal?
Avatar f tn Last week on friday I noticed a watery/slimy greenish discharge when I wiped. Then over weekend nothing really. Had sex on Sunday. Then yesterday at work I noticed a funky smell while going to bathroom. did t think to much of it. Then this morning when I woke up and wiped there was some pink discharge on paper and I saw a glob of red and clear discharge in toilet. Then it went away as day went on but then when I got home I had the reddish/pink discharge again. no cramping. I'm 17w.
Avatar f tn It mixes with your yeast infection discharge and is pink. Very common. And brown mixed in or a light brown color is just old blood doing the same. Treat the yeast infection. Either see a doctor for this and they prescribe a pill or go the OTC route with Monostat one day ovule. (put in place at night and wear a pad).
1145751 tn?1262133453 ve never had pink discharge with a yeast infection. My biggest symptoms are always burning and itching. Its always best to have your doc check to make sure that's what you have and treat you with something safe during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn m wondering do I have a yeast infection combined with having irritated my rectal/anal area with the baby wipes on a shaved area? I've also been having some mild cramping in my uterus/bladder area like I've had before with a UTI but it doesn't hurt at all to pee. I don't wear cotton underwear a lot except at night and I do work out a lot and work in a gym so I'm constantly sweating but I've not had this before.
Avatar f tn So doctor said I have a yeast infection because my discharge is smelling funny. How many of you have taken fluconazole 150mg and have been just fine? They say there is risks taking it but that it's safe. I'm 30w0d.
Avatar n tn t know if a yeast infection /uti can cause pink discharge, hopefully another mum can help you with that, Goodluck
Avatar n tn //www.healthline.com/health/can-a-yeast-infection-cause-bleeding The candida can cause inflammation, blood is common I have had success over the years with monostat one day. But the doctor can prescribe a pill you take once that gets rid of it. How are you treating your yeast infection?
Avatar f tn A sample of the vaginal discharge may be taken to confirm the specific cause of the infection. If a yeast infection is confirmed, an antifungal medication will be prescribed to you. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn Might be the antibotic....but it wouldnt cause pink discharge.. Yeast infection isnt pink I think its only white.
Avatar f tn Hi i am 23 female i recently got diagnosed with a yeast infection and was given the one time tablet itching went a away and discharge seemed to ease up but it never seemed to really go away I HAD unprotected sex with my fiance one time and he complained. That after sex his penis felt tight .
Avatar f tn It sounds like a yeast infection. You will sometimes get pink/blood discharge after sez because your more sensitive while pregnant. You can always call in to your doctor and see what she recommends. I have had 3 yeast infections and took monistat and then they gave me a stronger prescription cuz it wouldn't go away.
Avatar f tn Sounds like a yeast infection. The discharge is pink or brownish because a little current or old blood mixed with it and creates that color. The itch and lumpiness consistency is typical of yeast. If this is your first yeast infection, they like you to see your doctor for accurate diagnosis. If not, you can treat with over the counter medication (doctors can prescribe a pill).
1369383 tn?1299023561 i got almost the same answers and advice from everyone...sayin that it could be or it sounds like it is a yeast infection....anyways...i still am clueless and unsure of what it is...i just hope its nothing serious that will worry me to death!!! oh and by the way, the day before yesturday i noticed a change in my discharge.....there was very light blood which made the discharge look ligh brownish yellowish pink or something....its hard to explain but til this day its been ligh blood..
Avatar m tn Amoxicillin ALWAYS gives me a yeast infection. That might be what you have. When i get it prescribed I always ask for yeast infection medicine too! Get some vagisil for the outside itchiness and some monistat or whatever other brand you want for the inside.
Avatar n tn OMG!!!! I've been reading post after post, and I think you just answered my question!! I'm sensitive to antibiotics, etc. and got a yeast infection.... I've been through this before, but after getting rid of the yeast infection without using and sepositories (monistat, etc) by using vagisil, and azo yeast pills, , I started noticing an odor along with thick lumpy discharge!
Avatar f tn I have recently had a period, and subsequently a yeast infection that I took care of with monistat treatments, however, a couple of days after intercourse he noticed a rash and some red bumps around the tip of his penis, and on his scrotum.
Avatar f tn It can definitely be from sex or you putting anything in your vagina. I had a yeast infection and had to put the medicine up there and I have pink color mucus completely normal or if your doctor has to check you for any reason. But that's totally normal. Now if it wasn't under any of those circumstances then do call your obgyn.
Avatar f tn Well, pink is discharge mixed with a little blood. Fresh blood (as brown discharge is old blood). That could be simply hormonal from the stopping of the BC pill. Or it can be irritation due to infection--- but with an infection, either fungal or bacterial, you'd have other symptoms. Yeast is common and you'd have itching most likely and discharge. Bacterial is accompanied by a strong and foul odor usually and thin greyish discharge. Any other symptoms besides the pink discharge?
Avatar f tn Your vagina is probably irritated and a little blood is mixing with discharge and is turning pink. If it doesn't itch, that is great. You are probably clearing up. Give it a couple of days and if it does continue, then yes, see your gyn but it may be all better by then.
Avatar f tn Hi there. Well, it's always hard to say as this requires an examination by a doctor to know for sure but it sounds like a yeast infection. There may be some irritation or remnants of a period or spotting and that is tinging the discharge the color you are seeing and its thick, because it is yeast and the itching is a classic sign. If you've never been diagnosed with a yeast infection, doctors recommend being seen.
Avatar f tn As for a yeast infection, many people think an odorous discharge means yeast however when you have a yeast infection usually it will smell almost sweet. (If you've ever baked bread) it takes on a smell of actual yeast. Also the discharge is usually white or very pale yellowish in color and almost resemble cottage cheese. Any discharge that is quite yellow or even greenish in color is most likely a bacterial infection, not yeast.
