It has subdued a bit and if it doesn't clear completely then my next course will be the cortisone. Again thank you.

Avatar f tn Hi When topical corticosteroids do not provide relief, sometimes more the doctor may consider prescribing some more potent corticosteroids for some period, in adults with may be needed for adults with eczema on the scalp, limbs, and trunk or those with chronic/ lichenified eczema. Newer two topical eczema drugs like pimecrolimus (Elidel Cream) and tacrolimus (Protopic Ointment) are reserved only for cases where corticosteroids have not been effective.

Avatar m tn Doctor told me is like a burning from the sun (heavy winter now in my country and no sun for days) and he gave me a cortisone cream for the face. I used the cream last night but today when i woke up i realize that in my ears, around my lips and mustache i get white flakes that go away when i touch them but keep coming back again soon after. Since last night i started using the cream my skin start peeling off. Is this a Seborrheic Dermatitis? If yes what is causing it?

Avatar f tn I am currently using Elidel (pimecrolimus) 1%. This is an immunosupressant cream...could this cause my immune system to be supressed and not produce the HIV anti-bodies? I have been using this for well over 3 months.
Avatar m tn Hello, my cheeks began to become red a few weeks ago, then a rash began to appear(only on my right cheek first however it soon started to happen on my left), I tried fucidin cream on it because it was similar to a rash I had on my hand a while back, now it would somewhat go away but then it would come back again, now it's worse as my forehead has become extremely irritant, I've tried DiproBase cream on both my cheeks and forehead however they just become scaly.

Avatar f tn In December I woke up with very dry skin all over my forehead and i thought it was just usual dry skin.. but then the skin became very tight and plasticy and very very shiny even straight after i got out the shower. I went to the doctor who gave me fucidin and it didn't work and again was given daktarin, daktacort and nizoral. I then had a mild skin peel which reduced the overall plasticness but i still have lines on my forehead and it is still very shiny skin and scaly all over.
