I was toxic once and my dosage had to be lowered. But, now my levels are too low. I take Keppra and have had no side-effects. I'm also taking Gabapentin. I've had 2 seizures. My Neurologist told me that a person that has 1 seizure in their lifetime needs to take medication for the rest of their life. It's so scary. I hope everything turns out okay for you.

My doctor keeps saying my results are normal even though my Globulin is constantly high and A/G Ratio low. My doctor did follow up with a Protein Electrophoresis Test which she said was normal but final notes mentioned *A few nonspecific oligoclonal bands in gamma region*…is this normal? My doctor didn’t bring it up but it was in the notes of the lab who performed the tests.
During those times I had not yet been diagnosed and was able to go back to life like normal, however after the diagnosis and being on phenytoin and switching to oxcarbazepine i am feeling awful. Dizzy, nauseated, moody, extremely tired, severe headaches that come and go. All i get from my Neurologist is these are side effects that will eventually go away. Because i never know when these symptoms will come on too strong I have missed a lot of days at work during my probation period.
I got my dr to check everything else last time and to me my dht and dhea are very low as well as my testosterone, but my testosterone was a little higher before I started the injections. thinking about stopping them all together and going to try to get him to pursue one of the other possibilities. heres my results. I threw everything that I had checked in the only thing that gets me is the dhea and dht. and before I started the injections my t levels were around 360.
Low iron level or anemia is often associated with low albumin level in the blood. This causes water retention and swelling. Once the iron level is built up and so also the albumin level, the swelling goes down as water leaves this area.

t come back as a surprise to her considering after the blood work came back my LFTs came back elevated so my alt and ast levels as well as albumin levels were high. I also found out I am pre diabetic and my platelets had dropped from 247 to 177 in a month. I am not sure how I could be pre diabetic considering I lift weights and do cardio six days a week along with eating healthy but my spleen and liver were enlarged based on physical examination.
Had several rounds of blood work month after month . Had a negative EEG and MRI of brain. The latest is Albumin at 5.2 and Folate is 20 which is high. Does this tell me anything?? I work out regularly and like to take a little extra protein added to my diet. No steroids involved. No one knows whats wrong and why I have Hypertension to start with but I would love to get to the bottom of this. Help. thank you.

It however says that initiation of Folic acid and phenytoin together is beneficial.
Since you can't go back and start all over again, you can take a small dose. It has been observed that as los as 1mg dose can perturb phenytoin’s levels, You may take doses lower than 1mg/day.
I understand that gastritis and other inflammation usually have a low albumin count. I got my blood test at 8am and did not have water to drink from 12am up until my blood test. Was I just dehydrated? I know that can cause high albumin levels.
My PCP is ordering blood work for my parathyroid and ionized calcium levels to be checked just to be safe.
