During those times I had not yet been diagnosed and was able to go back to life like normal, however after the diagnosis and being on phenytoin and switching to oxcarbazepine i am feeling awful. Dizzy, nauseated, moody, extremely tired, severe headaches that come and go. All i get from my Neurologist is these are side effects that will eventually go away. Because i never know when these symptoms will come on too strong I have missed a lot of days at work during my probation period.

It however says that initiation of Folic acid and phenytoin together is beneficial.
Since you can't go back and start all over again, you can take a small dose. It has been observed that as los as 1mg dose can perturb phenytoin’s levels, You may take doses lower than 1mg/day.
anyone had an allergy involving bread ? i don't know if you did some critical thinking of your own. but in my case, before this incident, i had eaten different bread but i had consistently checked the ingredients to weed out questionable ingredients like unspecified sugar and other baddies that might be gmo. and i haven't had problem till this time.
from my casual research, it seemed dupont might've been selling it. and seemed dextrose could be gmo corn. holy sheet!

Thank you for your question, you are relatively fine with Phenytoin and the seizure episodes in a form of lack of speech are the residue of a generalized type seizure. I don’t have a full description of your consciousness during the lack of speech episodes to decide whether this start is a partial epilepsy which can continue in a generalized or it is a generalized one from the first moment..
s constantly take deep breath because his lungs feels stiff and needs to lay down about 10x a day. His volume is good and he can actually do some light running so I know he's getting sufficient amount of oxygen. The stiffness in the middle of his chest on the left side (where the lung collapsed) makes him feel he's not getting a refreshing breath of air. Just finished the dextrose (I think that is what we are drinking) for the glucose test......orange flavor.....it is not as bad as everyone describes it on these boards. It tastes like a cheap juice from a gas station or corner store.
He was also prescribed an antibacterial medicine, an antipyretic, a nutritional supplement gel and a dextrose powder. A few days after and he gained appetite and lost his fever. I have been on Coumadin for 18 years due to Lupus Anticoagulant (Antiphospholipid Syndrome) and several DVTs. In 2005 had MI with occlusion of the LAD artery and had drug stent inserted and I am still on plavix. My doc has debated when to take me off the Plavix safely....what are the recent studies about this dilemma? thanks so much!
Subsequent to discharge on 10 July, she was put on phenytoin 200 mg od. She broke out with fever again on 15 July and the fever lasted for about 4 days with daily temperature peaking in the afternoon (max 101 F). The face and body were covered with rash similar to measles which resolved by 20 July. Could she have had measles at her age? Why did she have convulsions? Could anyone throw any light on the episode.

● Liquid "Sweet Leaf" Stevia has additives for flavoring. Google search turned up nothing on its ingredients.
Other sweeteners found in foods [read nutrition label] but considered borderline safe and unsafe for diabetic consumption.
I am the mother of a newly diagnosed (1 week ago) 17 year old son with type 1 diabetes. He is a distance runner in school both cross country(5K) and 1600 m in track and field. We need some suggestion on how to procede with training; ie, eating before and after practice and actual meets, will he need to inject insulin before a meet? Any information will be helpful. Thanks!
A few weeks ago I woke up with yellow crust on the corner of my lips and it went away in 2 days, and today I woke up and it's in the exact same spot again except a little more then before. It doesn't hurt or itch, it feels like my lips are very very dry. I don't smoke, I have grandmal seizures and my medication is phenytoin and kepra but I didn't read anywhere that would be a side effect so I'm worried this could be a STD or something.
