Whether phenytoin administration will exacerbate preexisting idiopathic systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is unclear.

Avatar m tn Albumin is a protein produced by the liver and it forms an important part of the blood as it helps keep the water in the blood vessels and also helps carry many substances in the blood. It is important to understand how lab values are derived. Avatar n tn Thank you for your question, you are relatively fine with Phenytoin and the seizure episodes in a form of lack of speech are the residue of a generalized type seizure. She broke out with fever again on 15 July and the fever lasted for about 4 days with daily temperature peaking in the afternoon (max 101 F). Avatar m tn Im not sure, probably about 48-64 oz a day. But when I woke up the morning of the test my pee wasn't light in color. It wasn't dark, I wasn't severely dehydrated (I don't think) but I think I was a tiny bit. My urea and albumin levels weren't really high, just 1 and 0.1 above the normal level, respectively. And nothing else is wrong with me, I know really awful conditions and problems cause high albumin levels.
1118724 tn?1357010591 There were numerous posts concerning bilirubin and albumin tests recently. I can understand, a little, the what and why of the measurement but am completely confused about the when, how often, and if there are routine tests, like CBC, that indicate a need for the B&A tests. Are these test given if certain conditions are presents and not otherwise? In the discovery stages determining liver condition? and if good, never again?
