Phentermine with alcohol

Common Questions and Answers about Phentermine with alcohol

phentermine

I have taken Phentermine several times in the past and I was told by my DR. to AVOID drinking alcohol while taking phentermine. Phentermine is a stimulant that is similar to an amphetamine. It is an appetite suppressant that affects the central nervous system. It worked great for me loosing weight. But, I do have 2 friends that mixed alcohol and phentermine and it was NOT a pretty site. It can increase some of the side effects of phentermine.
I have been taking Phentermine for 1 month today along with a B12 pill... I have been working out a lot and I eat less. But I have lost NOTHING! I do not drink caffinated drinks as they say the phentermine will release from your body faster, just TONS of water. What can I be doing wrong! I figure I must have a crazy metabolism. It is extremely discouraging to see all the weightloss from others and I stay the same. I see statements where people have to remind themselves to eat...
I'm aware that depends on the person and other factors, but I'm wondering a ball park estimate. What about with the marijuana and alcohol figured in? Has anyone ever seen someone take this many for long? I ask because I do want to help. I've had the "You're going to die" talks with him. He cries and it gets to him but obviously not enough. I've explained the processes it is taking on his heart. I could tell he was thinking, but still not enough.
Insulin requirements may change in patients on phentermine; alcohol can cause a drug interaction. Abrupt stoppage of the drug can cause withdrawal with fatigue and depression. Phentermine is potentially addicting. Phentermine is not recommended for patients with symptomatic heart disease including rhythm problems. SIDE EFFECTS: Side effects include diarrhea, dry mouth, constipation, an unpleasant taste, hives, impotence, palpitations, high blood pressure, and fast heart rates.
I began to take the B12 injections w/ the Phentermine on 07/03/06 and started at 214 lbs and now weigh in at 200 lbs. I lost 14 pounds in 24 days! My question to others that are doing similar diet program, Are you on a specialized diet? I have been instructed to cut the carbs and eat high protien lean meats with lots of greens... Please advise, is this necessary? Because I have talked to others that seem to say they aren't doing a specialized diet like that. Thanks!
Okay on Saturday 01/12/2008 I got my first B12 Injection, my daily Phentermine pills 37.5 along with a daily multi-vitamin. I weighed in with clothes on at 182.6lbs. I have a goal weight of 135lbs. I am going to use this forum as my crutch to help me through. I will be posting here weekly if anybody would like to become success partners at this I am game. I would love to loose my 47.5lbs by May 20th, 2008 which is my 28th birthday. I am very confident about being able to achieve this goal.
My best friend's sister is on the phentermine, B12 shot, and a restricted diet and lost 40 pounds in under 2 months. So, I decided to do some research and came across many forums. This one in particular seems really informative. I found a place in Greensboro, NC called The Bariatric Clinic. They charge $120 to start the plan, then it is $60 a month thereafter. They give you a shot your first visit then you have to pick up the perscription a couple days later.
When I did my research I found it is used to treat obesity and highly effective, but more effective when taken with phentermine. Google phentermine and topomax for weight loss. Just know that after stopping any weight loss pills, you must change your lifestlyle otherwise the weight comes right back.
Any way I have come accross this website on foods to eat and avoid with Thyroid problems. Dairy, Alcohol, Wheet, Caffine and Sugar is a major part to stay away from (sad hey?) also fluoride and chlorine found in water and tooth paste. Great salt to get onto is himalayan salt, it is full of nutrients which are great for our Thyroid. Hope this helps. All the best. It is a horrible disease. PS hope my grammer is ok, I also struggle with writting.
It took all day Sunday just to do my laundry and dishes because I kept getting so wiped out that I would have to sit down. I talked with my mom recently and she spoke with my old naturalist back home and he thinks it may be my thyroid. I gave her a list of my regular complaints and ailments to help me figure out what is wrong with me since my doctor isn't doing anything (its been a year and she hasn't asked for a follow up to see how the meds are working).
Hi there! You really need to just stop the pills. Honestly, you shouldn't mix phentermine with an opiate of any kind. It is a stimulant and the opiate is a depressant. NOT a good mixture and NOT healthy for your body or mind. Now...there are things you can do to help the WDs and make them more bearable. Read the thomas recipe on the health pages. It's probably not going to be as bad as you think! Just have a positive attitude. It is SO worth it!!! Good luck, sweetie! You can do this!

I've been trying to intake about 1800 calories or so a day. I still only drink water unless I have alcohol (beer has too many calories haha). I still eat ice cream almost every day however. I also do about a 10 minute work out every day. push-ups, jumping jacks, sit-ups, exercise bike, and the punching bag. In the past my calorie intake per day has fluctuated a bit but I imagine the lowest it was ever at was around 1400 calories a day. maybe a bit less.
Am I on the right track with this with wanting to request trying Phentermine in combination with mt Metformin? Is there something else that I need to be considering?
Caution is advised when Phentermine diet pills are taken along with other drugs that act on the brain and the heart. If co-administered with other weight loss drugs such as Fenfluramine, it has been found that they increase the resistance to blood flow in the lung and even cause defects in the heart valves. Phentermine should never be given along with MAO inhibitors (a class of antidepressant drugs) for fear of acute elevations in blood pressure.
to the diet they put you on with phentermine. It's a restrictive no white flour, no sugar, fairly low calorie diet. You want low sugar/ low carb veggies and low carb fruit in moderation, only a couple whole grains a day and lean meats (avoid red meat and fatty cuts/skins of others) Avoid alcohol and caffeine. The pills make it easier to follow, but its still awfully strict and hard to incorporate into a normal life if you have other people to feed and eat with.
Hi.. Pocha. I am the same way with phentermine. I take the same. They are not as strong as they used to be. I took them 3-4 yrs ago and had crazy energy and no appetite! I too get irritated and just a "blah" feeling. I hope it gets better... I also do the HCG shots.
I've tried the B-12 injections along with some form of phentermine. I only saw minimal weightloss and I had serious mood swings. Unfortunately when I would stop completely- I gain almost double of what I lost. I an now trying the B-12/ B-6 injection combo + the mesoderm cream along with a pretty restricted diet. It' sonly been few days and I've seen some lost, but I feel so light headed and out of whack.
he gave me, a shot i think was every 2 weeks, potassium pills, a diuretic, and phentermine. please help me find a dr. in phoenix...please!!!!!!!!!!!
) So I suppose then check with your GP and see if they suggest you take alcohol with the pills, and if its ok then just keep it under the calories you decide on for the day! Rachel www.healingshrine.
After my son was born i weighed 180 pounds.I recently started taking phentermine for weight loss but i read that i can gain the weight back because my body will try to gain its normal weight back. My question is will my body feel safe at 140 pounds or will it try to recover the 180 pounds i had weighed? Also i would like to know if there is any chance of me gaining weight while taking phentermine? I follow a low carb diet but i have not seen fast results.
I started taking celexa about 5 months ago for mild depression and more recently phentermine for weight loss but these jerking movements were happening way before the phentermine. Can't seem to relate anything else to it. Is it possible the Celexa could cause that? Just curious if anyone else has had or ever had that before. Thanks!
Phentermine would DEFINITELY help with her hunger. I was a complusive overeater and have no problem sticking to a 5-600 calorie a day diet now on Phentermine. It is absolutely amazing. Went to Wendys with a coworker yesterday and he had a Double with cheese (what I would normally have) and a large fry. I happily ate my side salad and diet pepsi. All I could think about looking at it was how greasy it was and it kinda made me sick to my stomach.
My diet they have me on is a 6-800 calorie diet and my biggest problem with it will be the no alcohol. I love my Makers Mark. The HCG shot they game me yesterday had me feeling like King Kong. I started the Phentermine this morning. I love it even more. It has given me quite a buzz (I did the whole instead of just the half the first few days as I am pretty tolerant of things of this nature). I have cleaned the house from top to bottom so far today!
Phentermine, phentermine, phentermine... Now before I get hate messages and lectures... Yes it is probably bad for you and there are a few side effects like, nervousness(which eventually goes away) and dry mouth and dry eyes. But hey... if you don't care about the risk factors and you want to lose weight. I recommend it. I lost weight with it. Just don't go back to eating bad when you are done taking the pills or it will all come back.
I started taking Bontril this week (and not thrilled with it so far) and plan on getting Phentermine when I go weigh in at my next appt. in another week. They are now giving Hcg shots at their office and I'd really like to try them. However, I'm terrified that I'll have a bad reaction to the shot. Not sure why, but I'm just paranoid I guess. Is anyone currently using this method for weight loss? I would like to know: A.) Do the shots hurt? I know they're put in your lower abdomen.
5 years)to treat a combination of the following disorders (I will list below) with which I have battled since the age of 14 years of age.(I am a 29 year old white female w/ a successful mental health counseling private practice and contract employee at a community psych & substance abuse hospital--)-The only problem that I face at present is the fear that my doctor will discontinue the treatment regimen in lieu of a more traditional treatment method...
For a year now I have been experiencing rapid heart rate at bedtime, as soon as I lay down I can feel my heart beating/ pounding, sometimes it feels like it is doing somersaults in my chest and I get a very uncomfortable feeling in my throat. My doc had put me on Phentermine 37.5 mg for weight loss prior to this issue and I have had this feeling since then he said it was a normal side effect.
I take Phentermine 37.5 mg. It is a tablet, I take 1/2 at 7:30 on my way to work, then I take the other half at 12 or so. It does not make me overly hyper, unless I take it with coffee or Coke Zero, the caffeine supercharges the diet pill. They have lower doses of the Phentermine, I take the 37.5mg b/c I have a high tolerance to meds. Meaning, if 2 tylenol takes care of a headache for you, and it takes 4 for me, my tolerance is higher than yours. Does that make sense?
However I take them every day or evening for around 4 years. I also take phentermine 37.5- 1 tablet daily for around 3 years. (that is a INTERNET prescription) Diagnosed by ME. That is another issue in it's self. I want to quit that too! I want to try to clear my head. I am not sure I can do that taking the above medications. I feel if I don't take the meds I'll be in a lot of pain, I am in pain even with the meds.
