phentermine while pregnant

Hey, I am worried that I might be pregnant. I got my first ever depo shot around March 9th of this year, it's now April 11th , a little more than a month after my shot and I am experiencing pregnancy symptoms as described below.: slightly more visible blue veins in my breasts, lower arms,hands, and upper chest (above my breasts). Just in these past few days I've felt fatigued, my appetite has increased a lot, i feel bloated, a little dizzy, and moody.

I would hate to think I was pregnant in my tubes or pregnant normally and not know it while taking this med. Since I started taking Phentermine i have lost 20 lbs.

I divorced my husband 7 years ago and have since remarried and with the use of Metformin was able to conceive another child. While I was pregnant the binging and purging was actually quite easy to control. My baby is now 5 months old and I am again having a very difficult time controlling the impulsive behavior. Prior to becoming pregnant I weighed only 145. I gained only 17 pounds during my pregnancy bringing me to 162 pounds.

I have taken Phentermine several times in the past and I was told by my DR. to AVOID drinking alcohol while taking phentermine. Phentermine is a stimulant that is similar to an amphetamine. It is an appetite suppressant that affects the central nervous system. It worked great for me loosing weight. But, I do have 2 friends that mixed alcohol and phentermine and it was NOT a pretty site. It can increase some of the side effects of phentermine.

m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

I have been taking Phentermine 37.5 and synthroid .088 for about 4 months now. I just found out a few days ago I am pregnant. I figured I should stop taking the Phentermine but I didn't know if it would have any effects on the baby already. Also I did not know if I can continue to take the synthroid?

I started taking Phentermine for weight loss in June and am down 54 pounds. When I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking the drug. However, I was pregnant for 3 weeks before I knew, so I was taking the Phentermine that whole time. I know everything I've read said there is no link between miscarriage and the weight loss pill Phentermine. I was just wondering if anyone else on this forum may have taken this pill as well and suffered a miscarriage.

Seems to me that it would be far better to get your thyroid med adjusted so that it is adequate for you. That would increase your metabolism to normal and perhaps solve your weight problem. What, if any, other symptoms do you have? Please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report.

Its bad enough that you run the risk of heart problems with Phentermine but adding energy drinks to that just adds to the risk. I took Phentermine for a while. I never drank energy drinks because I cant stand them but I now have heart problems because of the Phentermine.

This is from a while ago but yes yes phentermine is supposed to be used as an aide to help cravings. When you feel that hunger its your body saying you need nutrition. Atkins bars are so good and have barely any net carbs. Also sugar free jello or cheese sticks. Celery and other veggies are also super good to eat. Be so careful because in addition to getting addicted to the drug itself it can also cause eating disorders.

I agree with grannieannie -- don't take phentermine while nursing........ in fact, I doubt seriously that you will even be able to find a reputable doctor who will prescribe it, since you are breastfeeding. You say you are counting calories, so I have to ask what types of food you are eating. You need to eat foods that take longest to break down in the body -- lean protein, high fiber. The longer it takes your food to be digested, the longer you will fell full.

I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. For about a month now I have been having Anxiety attacks and Depression really bad. I fought out I shouldn't take Phentermine if I have Anxiety or Depression. I have done Phentermine and Fastin and other pills and patches and things you put in your coffee and stuff you do every other day and on and on.... Feb 15, 2011- I decided enough was enough. Hi my question I guess could be under the weight-loss forum too but is it possible to experience a better mood while taking the drug Phentermine? I have been taking it for about 5 or 6 months now and have noticed that I really feel much better taking it. I've gone maybe a few day's at a time missing it and then when I take it again I just feel so much better. I have lost around 30lbs so far. I developed hypothyroidism 7 years ago after having been treated for cancer I can't seem to loose my baby weight gain after having my son 15 months ago.... I want to start taking diet pill Phentermine (30 mg) 1x a day but I'm also going to be taking synthroid 100 mg 1x day is that safe?

I can't comment on the thyroid concerning med's at all. I do know that you should be questioning the phentermine though. I take BP med's for my blood pressure and went on phentermine ~1 1/2 years ago to loose weight as a last choice thing. I took 1/2 doses due to the incline in my BP and was having chest pains. I did loose 51 pounds in 6 months in which was great, plus full of energy while on it. Though in the last year it has all came back, plus now my energy level has sunk.

I was given phentermine 15 mg by a "doctor" at a weight loss clinic. I'm a bit skeptical because of all the negative reviews I have read. I am currently 136 at 5' 3'' and want to get to my pre pregnancy weight of 120. I have tried other diets and just cant seem to get the extra weight off. the total calories is probably around 1000 - 1100 calories or so. i also used phentermine from my DR and was taking 2 - 3 mile walks per day. i averaged about 2.5 lbs per week loss. i've lost 40 lbs in 4 months. i had a VERY stressful/anxiety period over the past 5 days which caused me to be an emotional wreck, not sleeping well, heart beating fast at times. i cut my phentermine dose in half and totally went off my diet.
