I had read this on the Addiction Forum by ActingBrandNew and wanted to share it here for those that are being effected by a false positive drug test. No you did nothing wrong the test are faulty in that they sell over the counter drugs that interact with the testing..

Many physicians are not comfortable prescribing multiple weight loss medications at the same time out of concern for increased risk of side effects. Also keep in mind that phentermine is not generally recommended in the long term. It may make more sense to just stick with one of the weight loss medications to see if there are any beneficial effects. It's also a good time to think carefully about how the weight loss occurred while on the new medication.

Because there are so many over the counter medications that can affect a urine test, it would be good to request a blood test if your PO will agree to that. It would be the easiest way to clear this up for you.

m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

I took a urine drug test at my painclinic.I peed in a glass with no lines,no strips.the nurse took it in a room,came back with a folder for me to sign.The folder was flat,how can my urine be in that folder ? or is it something else they send.

When amphetamines were more regulated to sell as diet aids, phentermine started to be the main drug sold for hunger suppression. Be careful, people do get strung out on that drug. Always take as prescribed, you will build such a tolerance that it will no longer be effective, but your suppressed adrenals will make you want it for the energy. Please keep a close eye on your usage, side effects and any craving for the drug that may develop.

Hello Lass,First off is this just routine,or is their some reason of diversion like due you work as a nurse ,and if so,are they checking only you or are you on a Methadone program and all they want to know is there any hydrocodone in yopur system to bebin with,as same not so bright addicts say that they are on this and that and when they run a urine screen,nothing shows up,even the drug that they say is their drug of choice.

Hi everyone, I know I have ask you guys about the sub, Trileptal and Lexapro making you gain weight so I ask my psyc. about it and he looked in his little book and said that it is not reported to really increase appetite but there are studies that say that lexapro does but he also said but the pill dosen't weigh 10 pounds so I think you will be ok.

I'm in the process of switching to a new dentist and the new patient form I had to fill out asked "Have you ever taken any combination of the drug known as 'fen-phen'. Also of note - not all urine drug screens test for the same thing - this is usually determined by the cost factor - The more sensitive and comprehensiv ethe test, the more expensive. Darvocet tests positive if they are testing for propoxyphene - not all tests do this. I think I read somewhere that it can potentially test positive for methadone - I would have to look that up again to be sure. Water is helpful in a general sense but beware!

I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. When taking a quanitative urine dryg test, does it test for specific medications like tramadol, hydorcodone, oxy or general medication lile opiates, benzo, etc?

I have been in pain management since 2008 and never have been given an urine test. I read on this site where people comment on their drug test, I'm just wondering why I haven't ever been tested.
