i too was on phentermine and kinda hit a wall - stopped working and couldn't sleep well.. i requested meridia (big $) to replace/in addition to the phen and it gave me terrible gastric pains. doc then had me try the phen in the morning and diethylpropion (tenuate) in evening (where i was having sleep issues). worked wonderfully. i had considered asking for phendimetrizine but i read it was a schedule 3 drug and i had read a bariatric magazine article that casually linked it to pph.

took phentermine 37.5 and then drank a energy drink. i am so sick now. what do i do to feel better?

I had read this on the Addiction Forum by ActingBrandNew and wanted to share it here for those that are being effected by a false positive drug test. No you did nothing wrong the test are faulty in that they sell over the counter drugs that interact with the testing..

I was taking phentermine for weight loss, ordered over the internet, up until a year ago. It was after I stopped taking the drug that the onset of my bipolar symptoms became observable. Knowing that SSRI's can have this effect, I was wondering if the phentermine could have played a role in the onset of my disorder.

but its not from the drug, it is the way our bodies react to what the drug does to the body....so assuming a drug has a reaction like "causing acne" is jumping the gun a bit.....do some research and you find that there is substantial proof to back up this statement.....how do I know...because I took phentermine when I was younger...had no problem with my skin.....

My daughter and son-in-law were both on phentermine for a few months. Neither of them lost huge amounts of weight and when they went off the pills, they gained back everything they lost, plus some. Both are grossly overweight. A good weight loss program has to include diet and exercise or no amount of pills are going to work/have a lasting effect.

Be careful, people do get strung out on that drug. Always take as prescribed, you will build such a tolerance that it will no longer be effective, but your suppressed adrenals will make you want it for the energy. Please keep a close eye on your usage, side effects and any craving for the drug that may develop.

My cousin was on Phentermine but not Sub or Lex....I think that if you took the sub along with the Phentermine, you would get real nervous and shaky...maybe even heart palpitations and put you into panic. I'm just guessing based on what each drug does and how the affects would be if you joined those two actions...but I would also suggest studying on both and search the web for the interactions....

I feel all i did was trade the illegal drug for a legal one, although i have purchased phentermine off the internet for years. the kick in the butt, I got fat again, I am on jenny craig finally and helping a little, but still can't seem to move without popping the little white and blue pill.

I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.

My father is 52 yrs. old, he's been insulin dependent for about 15yrs. He's 5'7 and weighs about 200lb. He really doesn't follow a diet. He eats whatever he wants, but when he checks his blood and it's about 300 or 400 he just injects his insulin. Since he eats whatever he wants, he doesn't lose any weight. Doctor's have told him he needs to lose weight. He also has had high cholesterol, but took some meds and it's normal now.

Did you start taking the phentermine? How did you react to it in combination with the synthroid? I have been on phentermine for a little over a month because I had problems shedding post-partum weight, but then found out that I also have hypothyroidism and was prescribed with Levothyroxine (by the same doctor and kept me on phentermine). I was overwhelmed when my pharmacy printed out a long *WARNING OF DRUG INTERACTION* sheet telling me of all the possible side effects etc...

I have been trying to get my pcp to take out of his files that I had a history of diabetes, a year and I still haven't gotten it straighted out. I never had a glucose lvl of above 80 and that's well within the 70-99 normal range for me. What do I do if they refuse to take it out? What's strange is his file says diabetes but my MIB is clear; even clear of my heart surgery, PM/ICD implant and my health insurance co wasn't a help getting it done.

I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. I'm in the process of switching to a new dentist and the new patient form I had to fill out asked "Have you ever taken any combination of the drug known as 'fen-phen'. This includes phentermine (Adipex, Fastin, etc) and/or fenfluramine (Pondimin)." What does it matter if I have taken this? I haven't taken fen-phen, but I have and do occasionally take phentermine?

I have been taking Phentermine for about a week and I have a lot of red, ichy bumps (they look and are symptomic as mosquito bites generally behave). If I didn't know better I would think they were mosquito bites! They are contained on my torso, sides and back - these presented after about 3 days on Phentermine, and I cannot belive that I would end up with 30+ mosquito bites in one day - they all appeared overnight. Can this be a reaction to the Phentermine?

Hi my question I guess could be under the weight-loss forum too but is it possible to experience a better mood while taking the drug Phentermine? I have been taking it for about 5 or 6 months now and have noticed that I really feel much better taking it. I've gone maybe a few day's at a time missing it and then when I take it again I just feel so much better. I have lost around 30lbs so far. I must mention too that I'm also on 20mg of Citrophram for a little mood lifter as well.

I miscarried last Wednesday Nov. 21 at 8 weeks & 3 days. My pregnancy was totally unplanned. I'm 39 will be 40 on 12-3. I started taking Phentermine for weight loss in June and am down 54 pounds. I know everything I've read said there is no link between miscarriage and the weight loss pill Phentermine.

Seems to me that it would be far better to get your thyroid med adjusted so that it is adequate for you. That would increase your metabolism to normal and perhaps solve your weight problem. What, if any, other symptoms do you have? Please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report.

I have had a long history of having skipped beats (sometimes 3 or 4 in a row) which absolutely scare me to death. I am about 30-40 lbs overweight and some of my friends and co-workers have been doing the medical weight loss with the B-12 shots and Phentermine pills. I am so scared to take the pills because I am terrified about my heart.

All you need to do is google drug interactions. There are a few really good sites that you punch in your meds and it warns you of the interactions. Every drug has side effects.

I stopped taking Phentermine almost a month ago and I am still experiencing severve depression and anger, panic attacks and insomnia at night. Could this still be withdrawls I took it for a year and a half. If it is how long will it last?

I started Phentermine also, been on it a week, was only going to take it three weeks to get ready fo my vacay. First two days lost 6 pounds with vaginal disharge, clear but at times a tiny bit of brown tinge like it looks if my menstral was ending. I was concerned I stopped the phentermine for two days, lost like 3 pounds as well, prob. Because I slept th two days due to lack of sleep the two days on the phen.

I have seen alot of this failed drug test stuff...On the pain managment side you see it like once a week.....Really freaks me out......

Sorry, did not mean to imply Phentermine was a non perscription ie. safe drug. Several years ago you could get a perscription over the internet (90.% pills) by filling out a questionaire for an online MD and checking a box that you read the contradictions, you were answering the questions correctly and you recently were checked by an MD for BP. They overnighted them in a perscription bottel with MD name and number. You could also do the same from an add in the newspaper.
