I can't comment on the thyroid concerning med's at all. I do know that you should be questioning the phentermine though. I take BP med's for my blood pressure and went on phentermine ~1 1/2 years ago to loose weight as a last choice thing. I took 1/2 doses due to the incline in my BP and was having chest pains. I did loose 51 pounds in 6 months in which was great, plus full of energy while on it. Though in the last year it has all came back, plus now my energy level has sunk.

Everyone is different and what might be too high a blood pressure for me could be just fine for you. From what I've read, phentermine is not usually given to those with high blood pressure. I agree that you should talk to your doctor and make sure he understands your blood pressure issue. I also agree that you should look eliminate hypothyroidism as a cause of your weight issues.

I am now off the thinners but my Heart Doctor kept me on the Beta Blockers because I still had Tachycardia and my blood pressure is still a little high. Since then, I have started to see a Weight Management doctor for my weight issues related to the PCOS. The wight doctor put me on Phentermine.

The doc ran again this week and again the platelets are normal but WBC is high at 13. High count is due to neutrophils. m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. Phentermine is a synthetic amphetemine that people were recently getting off of the internet. The high that you get is similiar to amphetamines only lasts less and you build a quicker tolerance. These are psycologically addictive but not physically. They can give you a jump in blood pressure, increased heart rate and a heart attack or stroke. I agree with you. I'd change docs. Some of them don't care if they get you addicted. Esp if they have a private practice. It keeps you coming back.

t eat a big meal even if i try. i get full right away. because on phentermine, you eat very little portions and i find myself making better choices. Your stomach does shrink when you don't eat alot, so if you keep up with watching your calories and not overeat or eat past the full feeling, you will be fine. it just takes some self discipline but it's def up to you on how you eat and when you stop yourself.

I have been taking Phentermine for about a week and I have a lot of red, ichy bumps (they look and are symptomic as mosquito bites generally behave). I started having chest pains when i was 19 when i took metabolife ( the old one they recalled years ago ) . They would lead to horriable panic attacks. i couldnt get a breath it seemed.
