Phentermine for fibromyalgia

Common Questions and Answers about Phentermine for fibromyalgia

phentermine

I began taking phentermine 37.5 10 days ago. I have also taken 2 B12/B6/lipo shots within the past 10 days and have not lost one pound. I do not feel that my appetite has been suppressed at all. I keep waiting for the pill to take my mind off of snacking but to date has not. What could this be? Would there be anyway that the medication is expired by chance? It does not seem to be effective? I was so hopeful about this program getting me back on track with eating right. Thank you for your input.
I use Dr. Male. They are awesome! I get B-12 and Phentermine-buy the phentermine in Georgetown at Gallaghers with your prescription for 22. I started April 2 and have lost 26 pounds, 15 more to go.
I am having the same problem, I was on adipex ( phentermine ) months ago, until they made it almost impossible to get it online, now I am tired all the time and I have gained 10 pounds in a month! My Doc wont give me a script for it , even though he sais I am Obese, he said I can do it on my own, it sucks because I have Hypothyroidism and Fibromyalgia , it is so hard to get energy to do anything to keep up with my 3 small children. I live in California it is really hard to get it here.
I gained 13 pounds in two weeks, not changing one thing! So I told my doctor about it and he put me on phentermine to help with the weight gain issue. It definately causes swelling too. I was never one to have headaches everyday but I definately noticed a difference after I started taking it. But even with these perscription diet pills I still feel sluggish and it is not a cure-all.

This has been going on for 3 weeks. I have in the past been burdened with GERD. I am also suffering from a throbbing lower back pain.
I am overweight but despite the doctors giving me aderall, phentermine, etc. I can't lose more than 5 pounds. I even have a personal trainer that is shocked that my body fat level is going up even after spending an hour a day with him. My calories are down to about 1500 a day. In addition, I am almost passing out of exhastion even after only being awake an hour or two. My doctor suggested I get tested for narcolepsy, but something just isn't right.
a tummy tuck, arm lift and inner thigh lift. My doctor's won't give me a script for phentermine or other diet pills, even for a few months to see if they energize me and make a difference. I just am told what I already know(I was a nurse) I control my food portions, drink lots of water and walk for at least an hour on my treadmill.

Hey, I'm here with you all. Except I have had six children to include twins and had no problem loosing the weight from childbirth. after I hit 30 everything has been down hill. I am 36 now. I know that my weight gain and lack of energy is stress and emotional eating more than anything. I have been diagnosed with "fibromyalgia" and I do have chronic back pain.

I took Phentermine and B-12 injections with my doctor. I would go once every three weeks. The week I got the injection I would lose more weight (about 4 pounds) and 1 pound the other two weeks. Keeping consistent with my diet and exercise. So while I did not experience extra energy as I believe a lot of folks are looking for with the B-12 shots, it did increase my metabolism and increased my weight loss. So while the experts feel you should only take for deficiencies, I've seen results.
She went to a different doctor and Once the meds were worked out - i'M NOT positive but I think her doctor took her off paxil and put her on another similar med but also added a weight loss drug like bontril or phentermine (I don't remember which) Anyway after that her weight came off the same way it went on. If you did not have a weight problem before the meds it shoulf be the same for you. If your doctor won't work with you get another doctor.
I was on 1000 calorie, 20 fat gram per day diet, but I only ate 3 meals a day. I took fastin which is generic phentermine and had to force myself to eat. I didn't really worry about dividing my calories and fat grams up evenly between meals and I lost 14 pounds the first month and 12 the second. I would eat a 6 inch sub from Subway for dinner a couple of times a week and usually had to force myself to eat all of it. I ate Healthy Choice Dinners from time to time as well.

I started the program last Jun and took the phentermine for 10 weeks the doctor took me off the medicine after I reached my goal and since Aug of last year I have been able to keep my weight with the help of B12 and Lipotropic injections and of course watching my eating and exercising 30 min 3 times a week. B12 is to increase the metabolism and not necessarily to increase the energy level.

I just received my slim ball "junk mail" today 5/28/08. I was so eager to order it, I just picked up the phone and called them, but my husband stopped me mid order. He told me to google the complany. Which I did and got nothing, but a bunch of blogs. From what I can tell they did a mass mailing sometime in April of this year. From all of the blogs I have read, most have received the flyer with in the last 2 months. I'm now glad my husband stopped me.
Diet and exercise do not work for me especially because i had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia one year prior to taking effexor. Right now i'm on 150mg. Tomorrow i plan to talk to my doctor about being taken off of all my medication. I've read that effexor helped deal with depression even though they had gained weight, but its just the opposite for me. My former doctor put me on effexor, which i think was a mistake on his part.
But I'm still suffering from depression and tired all the time. I Have also been taking phentermine diet pills for about 5 years now. Not as often since I started the vicodin. I'm taking them everyday again now just for the energy to pick my children up from school. Will I have withdrawal from this too? Help somebody tell me I won't have to do this again.
Miguel, What you've said all sounds fine, except for the adipex. You know, don't you, adipex is phenetermine, related to the amphetamines. I've "played with phentermine" and I know it can pack an amphetamine-like wallop. If possible, I'd discontinue any kind of stimulant while you're trying to get off Vicodin. You're after rest and tranquility, not the frenetic behavior that phentermine leads you too. I know it feels great. No doubt.
