Phentermine for fibromyalgia

Common Questions and Answers about Phentermine for fibromyalgia

phentermine

Hi! Thanks for responding! I got the perscription for phentermine from a Dr. at a Weight Loss Clinic. The medication was shipped to me from a pharmacy. The numbers on the pills are A 159 split by an indented line. I spoke with the clinic this a.m. and they couldn't figure out why the pills would not be supressing my appetite. I asked if I might return the pills to the clinic and be sent more pills just to see if the problem is with those particular pills. So what do you think?
I just got my first month prescription for phentermine. My weight is 175 and im hoping to lose at least 30 lbs by may 20 for our caribbean vacation. Should i start my pills the same day i start shot? also should i buy or take a water pll?
a tummy tuck, arm lift and inner thigh lift. My doctor's won't give me a script for phentermine or other diet pills, even for a few months to see if they energize me and make a difference. I just am told what I already know(I was a nurse) I control my food portions, drink lots of water and walk for at least an hour on my treadmill.
I use Dr. Male. They are awesome! I get B-12 and Phentermine-buy the phentermine in Georgetown at Gallaghers with your prescription for 22. I started April 2 and have lost 26 pounds, 15 more to go.
I am having the same problem, I was on Adipex ( phentermine ) months ago, until they made it almost impossible to get it online, now I am tired all the time and I have gained 10 pounds in a month! My Doc wont give me a script for it , even though he sais I am Obese, he said I can do it on my own, it sucks because I have Hypothyroidism and Fibromyalgia , it is so hard to get energy to do anything to keep up with my 3 small children. I live in California it is really hard to get it here.
Why is it that the only time I have any energy is when I take phentermine. I've been looking for a diet doctor just so I can get relief from this arthritic malaise. There is something terribly wrong with this picture. How can I get my life back and a proper diagnosis?
I took Lyrica for 2 yrs before they approved it for Fibromyalgia. I have been off of it for 7 months now have lost 40 lbs (without trying) and I don't notice any increase or decrease in the amount of pain I suffer. I have since been taking Neurontin for the leg pain and it works without the side effects that Lyrica caused.
I want everyone to keep track of everything you are experiencing. I have been taking phentermine for 4 months. I did not realize that it is the cause of the pain and physical mobility decline that I am going thru. After being told I had neuropathy I started looking into what causes it and started tracing my life and symptoms back. Being a lupus and 2 time kidney transplant patient I have had many different issues including but not limited to palatial neuropathy.
I find that most meds do opposite what they are suppose to do for me.... is there any reason for this medically? (i.e., depressants/calming agents make me have energy - I feel up/jittery and then stimulants tend to focus/relax me) I can totally relate to much of what you so articulately described.
I've sufferred from HSV-2 for 22 years, supposed unrelated to everything else you are about to read. First I experienced periodic severe stabbing pain in my RUQ abdomen and then I displayed chronic alternating diarrhea and constipation with severe abdominal cramping along with the first symptom. I had every GI test and no diagnosis until two years, two surgeries, numerous doctors and tests later when I finally ended up in the ER and was diagnosed with IBS.
Awesome! What are you taking for your RA? When is the last time you have had labs for your rheumatological disorder? Yes if your thyroid count is low then your medication dosage is usually dropped. Its dangerous to by hyperthyroid.
Vicks Formula 44M containing Dextromethorphan, and Primatene-M containing perylamine as well as the pain reliever Demerol, and prescription anti-depressant Elavil test positive for opiates up to three days. Even Quinine water can also cause a positive reading for opiates. Poppy Seeds such as the ones on a bagel from your favorite deli, etc. The journal of Clinical Chemistry Vol.33 No.

I am a 49 year old female who has had a hysterectomy and has been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I have had a consistent dull cramp in my lower right abdomen along with persistent gas that radiates up to my chest, arms and neck. I also have persistent heartburn. This has been going on for 3 weeks. I have in the past been burdened with GERD. I am also suffering from a throbbing lower back pain.

I had the ct-scan which didn't show anything, but hopefully the thyroid ultrasound will help. Thanks for confirming my feeling about the possibility for a false negative blood test. I thought this was possible and feel this is my thyroid is definately a factor in these symptoms. Thank you for letting me know.
I was put on Ambian (to put me to sleep), Elavil (to keep me asleep), Hydrocodone (for the pain), and Xanax (for the Panic Attacks). Sure, it was a battle getting off of them after recovering from tx. I still occasionally have to take a Xanax and I still take Lortab (but I was on them before tx). Yoga, Candles, Tea, etc. may work for some people but I had to “fight fire with fire” and would not have made it if I didn’t. Good Luck and Best Wishes, R Glass.
PART 1 First off I'd like to say that this forum needs a topic choice added to the list for unknown or other. I chose thyroid only because this is one of my problems. When it comes to Autoimmunes many tests can come back negative and eventually lead to a positive diagnosis years later.

Many of thye symptoms sounds like they are related to the ruptured disks. I do urge you to try the milk free diet for at least a month and check for Celiac disease for your abdiminal troubles.
Week 3 for me and I have lost 12 pounds so far with B-12 and phentermine combo! I have never lost like this before. People are really starting to notice and i can really feel it in my clothes!
Since I didn't think I was losing fast enough I asked my doctor about it. It was B12, phentermine and suppliments. I was a good candidate for it. The first two weeks I lost 10 pounds. Since then I have only lost about 15 more. But even though I have slowed down quite a bit, I think I am doing great. I also slacked of on the treadmill quite a bit. So I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. Along with the project, she gave me a diet to follow.
Good for you!!! I was doing research because I have Fibromyalgia plus a world of other injuries and illness. Not only have i lost weight, Ive had amazing pain control. I don't know if its the MICB12 or the HCG proven to have accidentally found to reduce pain in fibro patients. My meds were really making me gain weight! So thank you again for your post, unless its your own body, don't tell someone else it only takes whatever.
I too have gained ALOT of weight and I think it's due to the meds i'm on. I am currently on disability for bipolar and fibromyalgia and GERD. My meds are as follows: celexa, lamictal, wellbutrin xl, cymbalta, restoril, seroquel, protonix and zelnorm. Also I was on Depo Provera for 17 months which really added to my weight gain. I've been off this drug since December 05, still haven't gotten my period back and am still gaining weight. I also take pain meds when my fibro acts up.
I had severe 'IBS' with explosive D, bloating, pain, reflux, weight gain and it has nearly completely resolved since I went gluten free. Ok, this was an answer for me, and it may not be the answer for you, but given your situation it won't hurt to try. Others will also try to answer you.... hang in there.
I went to wal-Mart and cannot find anything under 4 grams per serving not even Lean cuisine, smart ones, healthy choice etc. I cannot eat grilled chicken and veggies all day every day for the rest of my life is any one else on the low fat diet 20 grams a day and if so what do you eat??? I have lost 45 lbs in 10 weeks dropped from size18 to size 6 now. I started the program last Jun and took the phentermine for 10 weeks the doctor took me off the medicine after I reached my goal and since Aug of last year I have been able to keep my weight with the help of B12 and Lipotropic injections and of course watching my eating and exercising 30 min 3 times a week. B12 is to increase the metabolism and not necessarily to increase the energy level.
But anyway, for those interested- adipex 37.5 (phentermine generic name) works well. Its an apetite suppressant that you have to be prescribed. I took it for a while and it worked for me. The main reason that I didnt continue on this regimen is because my physician would have to prescribe which she wouldnt be continuously willing to do. This med does cause b/p and heartrate to increase. Therefore, labwork and ekg are recommended and most cases required....but it works..
I also have little appetite and have lost 17lbs.Witch is great for me. I am over weight.I am tired more than normal, but i did sleep alot due to migrains.I do have more side effects and stuff, but I wont over load you all at once.I know this sounds like alot, but it has gotten better as time goes on.
