Common Questions and Answers about Phentermine extended release

phentermine

Avatar m tn Of course, it does depend if you took the extended release version or not. Essentially, if you look at the label, the time it gives between doses plus half again should be a pretty good indicator that most of it is out of your system. Note, under interactions, it says "Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially: ... other stimulants (e.g.
Avatar n tn m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried the extended releExtended release Xanaxase Xanax? I know it has been on the market for a bit but I haven't heard any feedback.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Has anyone tried extended release Topamax or Topiramate? It is called Trokedi XR. I am going to try it because my memory is so bad on Topamax. My neurologist said it might be better with Trokedi XR but it is very expensive. So if you can tell me before I buy it I would appreciate any feedback.
Avatar n tn lately, i cant brush my hair on the left side because it is so sensitive. Am i on the wrong meds? What do you think of the hydro 15mgs extended release verses the 7.5 mg of hydrocodone?
725248 tn?1316162245 Have you tried the extended release formula for Dilaudid? A new extended release formulation (OROS®) of Hydromorphone is available and I believe it is more afforable than the Fentanyl. Here is link about the medication... http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2697506/ I wish you the best of luck. With today's economy we have to get what we can afford.
612551 tn?1450022175 I was recently prescribed 100 mg extended release beta blocker to increase my long time used 50 mg. Is it better to take 50 mg every 12 hours rather than 100 mg every 24 hours? If no, should I take 100 mg in morning or before bed?
Avatar f tn I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.
Avatar n tn This is a good discussion to have with your doctor. Metformin, the immediate release version and Metformin, the extended release version are the exact same medication. The extended release version just doesn't have to be taken as often as it is released over time. The bid or twice a day schedule with the Metformin you currently take will work as well as the once a day extended release version. That's really the main difference.
Avatar f tn How much phentermine is too much? I took 8 (37.5) today all spaced out about 2 per 6 hours. I can't sleep and I am really thirsty but that seems to be about it. I just don't want to overdose.
Avatar n tn Though rare, euphoria can be a side effect of Adipex-P® (Phentermine). Similar to amphetamines, phentermine increases the release of norepinephrine and dopamine from nerve terminals that can cause the “calming effect” you're describing. It could also simply just be that you're feeling better with the weight loss and therefore in a better mood.
Avatar f tn The capsules are immediate release and the pills are extended release, right? I can't take hydrocodone also. I don't want to take a more powerful drug like oxycotin or morphine, so I was hoping there was a different chemical compound in the capsules!
Avatar m tn Not sure of your exact question here, but Effexor XR is an "extended release" formula, which means a slower, more gradual release over a longer period of time versus a faster acting formula. It generally takes about 3 days to reach a steady state in your system, and can take up to a month to fully assess its effectiveness. Hope that helped a bit...if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Avatar f tn It depends if your on extended release or not. If your on extended release a few hours either way won't affect anything but regular metformin it might. If you look at your bottle if it says ER or XR after the name then it's extended release.
Avatar f tn hi i just started the b12 shot an phentermine pills an i wonder has anyone eles tried this progrma?
Avatar f tn I am taking methadone 5 mg tablets 3 times per day and Ultram 100 mg in the morning, 50 mg in the afternoon and 100 mg extended release in the evening. The reason for the mixed up dosage on the ultram is I am trying to get off of the extended release due to the cost. The problem I have is that before when I was taking 100 mg Ultram ER twice a day with the methadone as listed above my pain was controled, but since I have tried going down on it I have pain all the time again.
Avatar f tn Anyway, I had a gastric bypass weight loss surgery in 2008 and I remembered the Doctor saying to me that extended release medication will not be effective anymore because of the intestines being cut or shortened. I can not remember why exactly but does anyone know for sure about this? I would really like to get information so I can let my PM doc. know.
612551 tn?1450022175 Definition: Extended-release medications have special coatings or ingredients that control how fast the drug is released from the pill into your body. This may allow you to take certain medications only once or twice a day, instead of more often. Some extended-release medications have the letters "XL" or "LA" or "XR" in their name. They both sound very similar to me. You can google the "slow release medications" if you want to see the full article.
Avatar f tn My father is 52 yrs. old, he's been insulin dependent for about 15yrs. He's 5'7 and weighs about 200lb. He really doesn't follow a diet. He eats whatever he wants, but when he checks his blood and it's about 300 or 400 he just injects his insulin. Since he eats whatever he wants, he doesn't lose any weight. Doctor's have told him he needs to lose weight. He also has had high cholesterol, but took some meds and it's normal now.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed Duromine (slow-release resin of phentermine) 30mg (so not the fast acting 37.5mg Adipex-P a lot are familiar with). I don't know this doctor very well as mine has retired, and he is aware of my medical history obviously, and my struggle with weight loss as well as my attempt to keep my diet as healthy as I can (despite occasionally messing up from time to time due to lethargy, stress from work and genuine hunger...) Can I trust that my blood pressure won't skyrocket??
Avatar f tn I heard that if Metformin causes side effects that I should get extended release Metformin and I should not have any of the side effects; stomach problems etc.... Has anyone else heard this?
Avatar f tn Yes I am ONLY on the extended release med and were still adjusting and talked about breakthrough meds before. I am going to let him know, and I do not have a contract though, NOT that I see any other docs for meds AT ALL, but its not breaking contract. I have already taken a few of them, absess tooth extraction, anyone would have to take them.
Business woman2 25, 37.5, 50, 75, and 100. Also, the extended release forms of Venlafaxine capsules come in many strengths too: 37.5, 75, and 150. Most of the tablet forms will contain Lactose and Gluten. Some of the extended release capsules do not contain neither Gluten nor Lactose. It will help me very much, if I know the dosage form and strength. We might be able to find you a supplier that do not use Lactose and Gluten in its Venlafaxine. Thanks and be well.
1059594 tn?1261323966 Opana comes in both extended release form and immediate release. So cutting an immediate release Opana if directed by your physician would cause so ill effects. You are correct that cutting an extended release medication is never advisable and could have dangerous results. The key is knowing the difference and again following your physicians directives. I hope this explanation was helpful.
Avatar m tn Since she is on extended release she can only go down to one. Should she spread the one out farther apart, or, as someone suggested, maybe go on norcos so she can reduce further (.5, .25, etc.).
