Eli68 - you should try to get new thyroid blood work done, to determine if your medication dosage is too high, or if the palps and anxiety could be from the phentermine. When you get them, you can post the results and reference ranges here for us to further evaluate.

I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. I have been taking Phentermine for 2 and a 1/2 months now. I started taking it in April almost on the same day as my period started. Almost one week after my period stopped another one began. I really stop taking medication, if I track from the first day of my life. I would be 5 1/2 weeks. I am most concerned that it may already affected the babu or may cause a miscarriage or birth defects. Does anyone have experience with us? Or no? I can't comment on the thyroid concerning med's at all. I do know that you should be questioning the phentermine though. I take BP med's for my blood pressure and went on phentermine ~1 1/2 years ago to loose weight as a last choice thing. I took 1/2 doses due to the incline in my BP and was having chest pains. I did loose 51 pounds in 6 months in which was great, plus full of energy while on it. Though in the last year it has all came back, plus now my energy level has sunk.

today has been my first dosage and i am on a 30 mg instead of the full dosage. that way if there are negative side effects it wont harm my body to quit. I have had my thyroids checked because my great aunt was diagnosed with thyroid cancer so it was possible i had problems. everything came back perfect. the only problem i have with my body is my high cholesterol which is why i have been put on this pill and a very low cholesterol diet.
