phentermine

Avatar f tn I was then put on blood thinners and Metoprolol. I am now off the thinners but my Heart Doctor kept me on the Beta Blockers because I still had Tachycardia and my blood pressure is still a little high. Since then, I have started to see a Weight Management doctor for my weight issues related to the PCOS. The wight doctor put me on Phentermine.
Avatar f tn Wait it out. Phentermine is nothing but caffeine, and the pharmacist and doctor should have told you to reduce your caffein intake. If they didnt, then it was in your package insert when you get the medicine filled. Right now all you can do is wait it out. Rest, drink lots of water and NO MORE ENERGY DRINKS. Never, ever do that again. You are going to cause yourself to have heart problems do to the excessive amount of caffeine.
Avatar f tn I am about 30-40 lbs overweight and some of my friends and co-workers have been doing the medical weight loss with the B-12 shots and Phentermine pills. I am so scared to take the pills because I am terrified about my heart. I feel I don't have a lot of options because due to constantly being depressed and having anxiety about the skipped beats I eat to make myself feel better. I know it's the easy way out but I would love to do it and get the weight off.
Avatar f tn I can't comment on the thyroid concerning med's at all. I do know that you should be questioning the phentermine though. I take BP med's for my blood pressure and went on phentermine ~1 1/2 years ago to loose weight as a last choice thing. I took 1/2 doses due to the incline in my BP and was having chest pains. I did loose 51 pounds in 6 months in which was great, plus full of energy while on it. Though in the last year it has all came back, plus now my energy level has sunk.
Avatar f tn Thank you both for the info. Yesterday was only the 2nd day I was on the meds. I think I had an allergic reaction to the hydrochlorothizide. I had these bumps on my face and lip that looked like I had spider bites. I took benadryl and it went away. I am not going to take the hydrochlorothiazide today. If I don't get a reaction then I know it was that and I won't continue with it. If I still get it from the phentermine, I will stop taking it altogether.
673515 tn?1234320119 Hi i am a female 36 years old and i was wondering if heartburn symptoms include heart palpitations, i have been having heart palpitations for about 1 year i have been to my doctors office and have had blood work and also had heart exames done and everything is perfect but the heart palpitations are getting worst maybe 5 or 6 times a day my doctor says it is stress i am a nervous person i worried to much but i cannot help that i do excercise every day i walk 40 minutes a day and 10 minutes in m
198504 tn?1195158059 The phenetermine will make you jittery, cause sleeplessness etc., especially during the 1st 2 weeks of use. I think the energy drinks are not so good, either, and the diet red bull just tastes awful. You shouldn't need it with the phen. If you are taking phen and a water pill, you will need to replace your electrolytes with potassium. If you do not get potassium or forget to take it, it can make you tired. Good luck. V.
Avatar f tn Also, clinical studies by the FDA have found that 1 in 3 people who take phentermine develop heart irregularities. This is a $60 billion dollar drug, just because the doctors and Pharmacies say it's okay, doesn't mean it isn't dangerous, especially with long term use.
897541 tn?1241719557 Im getting the B-12 and lipo shots as well. Maybe I will still get results if I stop taking the phentermine and stick to the shots. Does anyone have any feedback or advice.
Avatar f tn I feel all i did was trade the illegal drug for a legal one, although i have purchased phentermine off the internet for years. the kick in the butt, I got fat again, I am on jenny craig finally and helping a little, but still can't seem to move without popping the little white and blue pill.
579324 tn?1276054274 i would like to know if there is any reason why i should not take methimazole and phentermine at the same time and/or if the phentermine could possibly cause my hyperactive thyroidism to return.
Avatar n tn s, Ive been to the hosp for 180 heart rate out of the blue, and its beat so fast I cant count. Vagal maneuvers work for me to bring the heartrate down. I have no underlying cardiac problems. I recently also started phentermine 37.5, and have been doing fine with it as far as palps and tachycardia. I still have them from time to time like I normally do but there hasnt been any drastic change with the phentermine on board. Thats not to say that you wont though.
Avatar n tn m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
Avatar m tn My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.
551496 tn?1215614366 I have some spotting and cramps. I am sure it will be a rough one! I did stop the phentermine over the weekend and started back yesterday(Monday). Maybe thats what triggered it....who knows. Being a woman shouldnt be this much stress and hard work!
397118 tn?1219762250 but I would also suggest studying on both and search the web for the interactions....the web has info on every interaction with every drug because there is nothing that at least one person hasn't tried...it's all on the web man!
494656 tn?1209640771 I am overweight i am in the military part time guard. I am 180 lbs I have gained about 30lbs over the course of a year. I feel terrible. I don't have much time to excercise because i have a very demanding job, now. I have an appointment set up at a weight loss clinic in greenwood, SC next week. The clinic is called "color me well" i was referred to them by a coworker and they prescribe phentermine and the b12 shots. the only bad thing is they don't accept insurance.
Avatar f tn m kind of curious if the medicine is keeping you(and me) from sleeping well and in turn you are just exhausted. I have alot of weight to lose and the phentermine worked very well at cutting my food intake down from what I'd been eating. I just don't know if I like the way I feel during the day. Jittery and high strung to say the least. Sorry I'm not much help. I know someone else will have a better answer for you.
Avatar f tn Hello! Thanks for clicking on my inquiry... here is all the info and my related questions.... 56 year old caucasian female, post-menopausal, healthy diet, inability to exercise more than mildly (so just regular activity, frequent walking, everyday tasks etc no problem, full range of motion for non-exertive stuff), obese but not morbidly, taking losartan potassium daily for mild hypertension (a decrease from quite high blood pressure 2 years ago), no other medications, stable in all respects...
Avatar n tn I miscarried last Wednesday Nov. 21 at 8 weeks & 3 days. My pregnancy was totally unplanned. I'm 39 will be 40 on 12-3. I started taking Phentermine for weight loss in June and am down 54 pounds. When I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking the drug. However, I was pregnant for 3 weeks before I knew, so I was taking the Phentermine that whole time. I know everything I've read said there is no link between miscarriage and the weight loss pill Phentermine.
Avatar f tn I recently started using the pink phentermine tablets to lose weight and I was very nauseous and awful headaches thankfully they went away but now my hands are so itchy and a bit red I don’t know if this is dangerous or not this isn’t my first time using them it never happened any other time
Avatar f tn I've been taking monthly B12 injections for about 2 years, and 37.5 mg phentermine daily for about a month, and I haven't lost any weight at all. The four and a half pounds that I've lost, I attribute to the boot camp that joined two weeks ago.
Avatar n tn The recommended way to use Phentermine is as part of a calorie controlled diet and exercise program, because this will bring the fastest results, and avoid dependence. Phentermine is habit forming, which means that the body gets used to it, so after a few weeks it won't have the same effect as when you first use it, and using it for longer periods can result in withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking it.
Avatar f tn I just got home from the clinic a little bit ago, yes i've done this program, but you must excersise 30 minutes a day my doctor told me 5 days a week but i'am not sure what your doctor recommened you. If you stay within your caliorie intake and exercise you will lose each week.
Avatar f tn I'd never recommend phentermine, even though it does work for weight loss. The problem is that when people stop taking it, they almost always gain back everything they lost, plus some.
1401296 tn?1280799533 I have not been able to get the nerve up to even try yet...The phentermine worked great the first week...seriously cut my eating in half, but this week doesn't seem to be doing much...I figured I could make them last six weeks if I didn't take them on the weekends. Probably not such a great idea.
1630756 tn?1299826063 (basically 1 month and 2 weeks) but I also started taking Phentermine to loose weight...I would really like to know if The Phentermine will interfere with the Depo Shot? If it does, what other birht control method can I use??? Thank you.
