33f, DM 2, Been taking Metformin XR 500mg 2 pills x2 a day. Started phentermine after trying invonkana, and trulicity to bring my a1c down. Mid January 2017 I started the phentermine. Towards the end of February 2017 I had ketones in my urine and was in ketosis. I was excercisin religiously and watching my carb intake.i was eating between 100 to 150gms of carbs. I was not on a ketogenic diet. After that visit i have been extremely ill. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
I divorced my husband 7 years ago and have since remarried and with the use of Metformin was able to conceive another child. While I was pregnant the binging and purging was actually quite easy to control. My baby is now 5 months old and I am again having a very difficult time controlling the impulsive behavior. Prior to becoming pregnant I weighed only 145. I gained only 17 pounds during my pregnancy bringing me to 162 pounds.
My dr. recently prescribed Metformin (500 mg 2x/day) and Phentermine (37.5 mg/day). I started the meds approximately a week ago. I was told the Phen would give me all of this energy and that the Metformin would keep me in the bathroom a lot until my body adjusted, but I have had neither really. The first couple of days on the Phen I had a boost of energy, which I loved, but it quickly faded. I am now constantly tired, no matter how much sleep I get.
Yes she see a specialist at MUSC in Charleston S.C.and she is on spironolactone,digoxine,revatio,loveox shot,tracleer,and lasix .She go every month to get blood work to make sure her med. are work good for her and every 90days to see the specialist and once a month to see the Dr. that's follow her in my town. But do u think phentermine cause blood clot because she has severe PH and she didn't take any other med for a long time but what the Dr.gave her phentermine 37.
m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
The only other medicine I take is ortho tricyclen and a new medicine phentermine HCL I have been taking for a few weeks. These are all tablet form and NOT capsules. I have been to the doctor recently...at first I thought it would just go away, but I've gotten more curious and worried so I went. Unfortunately they seem to have NO idea and it'll take over a week for the labs to get back to me and I'm imaptient!!!

I've been taking monthly B12 injections for about 2 years, and 37.5 mg phentermine daily for about a month, and I haven't lost any weight at all. The four and a half pounds that I've lost, I attribute to the boot camp that joined two weeks ago.
I am supposed to start these tomorrow but am a little concerned if Phentermine and a Beta Blocker can be taken safely together under my certain circumstances and if I should have any concerns regarding my already strained heart, while on something like Phentermine?

I went to see my doctor and he put me on phentermine 37.5mg once a day and topamax 23 mg in half doeses twice dailey. I also take adderall 20mg twice Dailey. I asked him if theses two meds who interact with one another and his response was no . I guess my question is how do I safely spread them out during the day. It seems I can't get it right because when I take either or I get very anxious . I already take a anti anxiety med clonazepam for accational panic attacks.
I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.
I agree with msme7..................except, maybe you need to come down off it slowly, rather than "cold turkey". Talk to your doctor.............

I have Hypothyroidism and have been trying to lose 10lbs for the past couple of years, I spoke to a pharmacist and she suggested I ask my doctor for Phentermine.
Has anyone tried this before and is it safe with taking Amour Thyroid 180mg. I'm 5'8" and weigh 152 and want to be 143, I work out 6x's a week cardio for 45-60 mins. and every other day 30 mins weight lifting.
I'm not familar with what phentermine is or what it's used for but I'm sure somebody will notice your question and respond..
One of my kids has taken phentermine and it did help a little. However she has just this week learned she has hypothyroidism and that may be another reason her metabolism is sluggish. She is now on thyroid medicine and hoping it may be somewhat helpful in the big picture.
