1672915 tn?1335220598 Hi...to have worse pain post op is a sign ....u need to get ur Drs to listen to u..... DO u do the exercises to help with range of motion in ur neck? Have u used heat b4 doing the exercises?....it helps loosen the muscles first.....relaxes them. If what u have is nerve pain, u will most likely need an EMG to make sure....I have no idea what might be the best to relieve it..... May I ask what u do daily?....
Avatar n tn Last weekend I woke up in the middle of the night with excruciating pain on my left side along with bloating and a lot of tenderness. I called the dr. on Tuesday and had an ultrasound done on Wednesday (this is the first time I've has the US done this close to pain and exactly midcycle). The results of the ultrasound showed a small fibroid (found previously...but hasn't changed) and 11 small cysts-5 on my right ovary and 6 on my left. Very small- .5 cm to be exact.
773646 tn?1239225659 Hi to all - w/ greetings to my friend Khiba - I have tried Lyrica and had a reaction of involuntary jerking. I didn't have tremendous results with neurontin, but it did help at high doses. I'm currently involved in the vicious trap of narcotics, but have MS as well as Sys. Sclerosis so have joint pain that's really bad on top of the MS pain. Also osteoporosis and spinal problems causing pain.
1729448 tn?1342094737 Does anyone know any ways to relieve pain during your period? I usually don't get cramps but today my period is starting and I'm having back pain. I've had the pain a couple days but I spaced it on my period i forgot it might be that causing it. Like I said, it's unusual for me. I have a heating pad on my back and I'm laying down and i took 2 prescription strength ibuprofen (my mom was taking them and then stopped when she had hip replacement surgery). Any other advice?
Avatar f tn * If you have advanced liver disease - you should not take any NSAID pain relieves. Such as Advil, Aleve or Aspirin. The recommend pain killer is Tylenol/acetaminophen only for people with advanced liver disease. No more than 2,000 mg a day. Loritab is is an analgesic (painkiller) combination containing acetaminophen and hydrocodone used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Hydrocodone is a narcotic and is habit forming.
Avatar m tn You need to get a second opinion to see what can be done for you and if nothing can be done but treat then pain then you do need sufficient pain control and it does not sound like your getting it. I would be outraged if my Doctor accused me of being an addict just for trying to control the pain as would any one of us CP sufferers. Please do not give up, there is hope and once you do get some pain control to level out your pain you will be feeling much better. You have an awesome business/job!
Avatar f tn My primary symptoms are headaches/ pressure which are quite severe, throat pressure, ear fullness, neck pain, shoulder pain, shooting/ stabbing pains, and brain fog/ confusion. I am wondering what medications my neuro surgeon may recommend for treatment of these symptoms and what to expect.

Avatar f tn The first thing they need to figure out is if you have nerve pain or muscle pain or both. For muscle pain it would be muscle relaxers like Baclefin or Zanaflex or something similar. For nerve pain in the states they use Gabenpentin which is a seizure medicine or Lyrica or Trileptal. Or sometimes anti depressants such as Amitryptoline. For headaches they use Topamax as a preventative. I take Immitrex for my migraines.
Avatar f tn was just wondering what type of pain relief everyone uses or plans on using during labour...
370181 tn?1595629445 Hi there, It sounds to me like you need to find another doctor or a pain management clinic who will work with you on finding the best pain relief options, including careful use of opioids. It seems to me you've exhausted all other options and your research is solid. If it were me, I would "fire" the doctor who refuses to treat you as a partner in your own treatment.
Avatar f tn Hi, I live in the UK and was wondering if anyone can help me with pain relief. I know you cant take ibroprufen, aspirin and are limited to paracetamol. 667913 tn?1242700488 Temgesic (sub) is the European communities form of pain relief RX - - didnt touch my pain so I wasnt interested in it. Not available in US for pain relief......only allowed to be prescribed for opiate abuse. Dont think its too good for prn pain - the stuff is so goofy with pharmacology and half lives that you would have to take it a day and a half before sceduled headache.......but you would be good to go for rebound headache!!! You might find that methadone is better for your purposes........

Avatar m tn I do not know how I am going to survive without it when I run out of the norco. I hate taking pain medicine but I hate the pain even more. I need some help as to how I can approach my doctor who says Imipramine is the only medication that works for IC. Is he right? What else is out there and how can I get treatment for this debilitating chronic pain. I have a 3 year old daughter and I want to be there with her and I find it is hard to do normal things like go to the park, shopping etc.
