I am a 47 year old woman with terrible dry mouth. I have had several tests and the doctor can't find anything in the blood tests. This is miserable! Could this be a symptom of perimenopause and is there some type of medication that could help? I have tried many over the counter remedies and nothing seems to help.
I always think its I'm not drinking enough water! But I do drink a lot. My mouth is always dry and sore and it's way worse at night.

And my lips seem to be dry little scaley.Just inside my mouth around my lips feel really wierd as well. The worse part is my lips and mouth burn and there are not visible lesions bumps or sores. WHAT THE HE'LL IS WRONG WITH ME? IS it HERPES, A FUNGUS, MOUTH CANCER? IS IT SOME TYPE OF SYSTEMATIC UNDERLYING CONDITION?

My symptoms include an itch in the throat, a dry feeling in the throat, throat tightness, dry feeling lips, dry mouth, dry upper part of part, itchy pain at back of mouth, and tongue burning after eating hot food. Please note my mouth FEELS dry, but it actually isnt, its perfectly normal. I also have pins and needles in my hands and feet. I have seen an ENT who did a barium swallow which came out normal.
I have seen no red sores, blisters or anything, but they continue to burn. Also have a sore throat and a sore mouth. The skin actually peeled off on one side of my mouth and for one day my saliva glands on both sides were swollen. Now the roof of my mouth is sore. All of this feels like when you burn your mouth on hot soup, but I did not burn my mouth. Also my eyes feel dry and burning. Nothing I do seems to elevate the problem.

White patches that wipe off in mouth and on lip I have dry scaly white that wipe off as well burns sometimes and not red at all. Idk what it is I'm worried in patches then everywhere small bumps along borderline of lips. Its nothing like pictures of cold sore herpes. It feels as if my lips are extremely dry even looks like it too with the white bumps/ marks for example it looks like fordyce bumps that wipe away though. And oral thrush in mouth. Does herpes do this?
The wound was almost all the way healed but i could still feel where it was in my mouth with my tongue. Also, it was very cold and dry outside and i had cracked lips, and i noticed that there was just a very small amount of blood from one of the cracks on my lips after my encounter with this girl. So I really would like to know my risk, if any, the chance of being infected with HIV.
For only about a week now my lips have become overly dry and I felt swelling in my lymph nodes and had a sore throat. The tiny bump i have forming on the insde of my upper lip does not look like any of the pictures of herpes that I have seen on the internet but the swelling throat and overly dry lips seem to be symptoms of herpes.
If it is not a cold sore then it could just be a pimple like you said or a heat bump. Dry and cracked lips plus sores on mouth may also indicate a vitamin deficiency and along with other symptoms could indicate stomatitis. They say when you have problems with your stomach you will have problems with your mouth as well.

3 weeks ago i met one of my co-workers and she kiss my lips. i close my mouth and didn't let her to kiss inside my mouth (french kiss)just on my lips but she kisses wetly. I washed my lips after that.
4days ago, i saw two rash on my fingers(back of hands) one in my right hand and two rash in my left hand (one rash at the bottom of my finger and one rash on my elbow (they are not close to each other_.

However I had mouth ulcer and gum problem at that time, as well as broken lips and had a tongue sore. Also I had a small cut on my finger. But none of them was actively bleeding at that time. Two weeks later I went to see a doctor and taken a standard HIV (1 and 2) test but it came out negative. My question is:
1) What are my chances of getting HIV since I had mouth ulcer, tongue sore and gum problem?
ve had dry mouth problems since. I have sticky lips and sometimes sore lips and tongue. I do sometimes have slight dry eyes but not always. I came off my anti depressants which didn't work but maybe I didn't give it long enough. I am now on a new one on a tiny dose with no change. I was on propecia nut stopped months ago. My GP gas run blood tests and taken a saliva test with no results.
We use some of those green foam sponges with the plastic stick handle to wet her mouth and apply mouth moisturizer. Over the past few months, when we try to give her a little water on the sponge, she doesn't want it or maybe it's the fact she doesn't want the sponge in her mouth. She either bites down on it or puckers up her lips as if to let us know she doesn't want it.
Does anyone know a good way to give her a bit of water just to hydrate her mouth and tongue.
